CNN anchors have been turning to advocacy. Don Lemon didn´t show a hint of journalistic integrity on Sunday´s Newsroom as he ripped into conservative guest Will Cain and lectured him on the offensiveness of Mitt Romney´s "gift" remarks, joining liberal journalist LZ Granderson in the leftist ambush. "This is an astounding interview," Cain remarked, realizing he was outnumbered by two liberals. "I´m a little taken aback by the chorus of surprise. I really am. From both of you guys." Cain lashed out on Twitter after the ambush. [Video below the break. Audio here.]
Comments: No wonder CNN is tanking in the ratings. Lemon and the other jerk liberal´s behavior was reprehensible. He should have been reprimanded in the very least because we know he would never be fired. If I was a Republican I would never dare go on that show.
Lemon has always been that way. After 0 was elected in 2008, he reprimanded a guest for referring to him simply as 0bama without saying President 0bama. He went on and on. You almost expected him to rap the guest´s knuckles with a ruler. He thinks too highly of himself.
Don Lemon is totally correct. Obama supporters do not receive "gifts" because what they do is use their vote to buy goodies in return. A vote is the newest form of currency.
Republicans/conservatives would be smart to refuse to appear on these liberal shows. Their time would be better spent developing a clear and concise message that will prove successful for our side in the 2014 election. Let´s fact it, the only intent of the liberal hosts is to embarrass, harass, and belittle our beliefs and philosophies.
A population voting 95+% for the same candidate isn´t a population of independent minds. Such would be much happier with dictators.
Visit sub-Saharan Africa before you term this post as racist. Tribalism is nature there. And that nature transcends geography.
Lemon and Granderson have nothing to gloat about. They´re just fortunate that their ancestors arrived here however they did, else those two would be sitting around crude huts in west Africa waiting for their working woman to bring home with something to eat.
Each day I get older- and wiser- I think our ancestors had a better grasp of human nature.
Wrong #12. Tribalism is and has been pushed on our society (not only among the blacks but among any group identified these days) by the leftists who are looking to divide us in any way possible. If you look at most of the black community before the mid to late 60´s, when the leftists began their destructive policies, you will realize that most of the people were proud Americans first and wanted to assimilate with the rest of us. It has always been the left and the Dems who have marginalized them and now have created the tribal mentality. And it isn´t only blacks who have been turned this way. You see it in almost every group.
I don´t understand why our people don´t vie to get on these leftoid shows.
Just be prepared and keep talking. Use humor. Bring your own ruler and whack yourself preemptively if the CNN propagandist seems to feel it is needed. Be more like Rush who uses "half my brain tied behind my back just to make it fair". Ann Coulter isn´t scared.
I´ll bet Herman Cain could have handled the bullying. We have to get better.
Pretend you´re Mark Lamond Hill and just keep talking very fast!!! I turn that annoying rascal off as quickly as possible. LOL
There is no such thing as an ambush when offer yourself up as the target. When you willingly sit in a thorn bush you should expect to get your fanny pierced. I stopped feeling sorry for these rubes and fools a long time ago.
Casting your pearls before swine comt to mind whenever I hear that another conservative has been "ambushed" by the leftwing media. Why do it anyway when you know the leftwing media is going to spin anything you say to fit their closed-minded worldview?
I remember this queer fellow Lemon from about 8 yrs ago when he was a 3rd rate weekend morning anchor on one of the Philly news stations. He was a "master of ceremonies" at the big gay pride fest in Philly´s gayborhood. I couldn´t believe it when I saw he ended up on CNN. I wondered what "services" he provided to land that gig.
The decision to name a protege of Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) as head of the White House legislative affairs office is being taken as a sign that Senate Democrats will have growing power over the political agenda for 2014. The replacement of Miguel Rodriguez with Katie Beirne Fallon came as a shock to some former administration officials, who noted that Fallon was chosen over internal candidates with more experience. “So now we´re just turning the keys over the Congress,” one former senior administration official said about Beirne Fallon’s hiring. The move is all the more remarkable coming after the White House brought
The State Department is warning Americans not to travel to Libya. The stated reason: "extremist groups in Libya made specific threats against U.S. government officials and U.S. non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating in Libya." The State Department warning reads, "The Department of State warns U.S. citizens of the risks of traveling to Libya and strongly advises against all but essential travel to Tripoli and against all travel to areas outsideof Tripoli. Because of ongoing instability and violence, the Department’s ability to provide consular services to U.S. citizens within Tripoliis extremely limited, and the Department cannot provide consular services outside Tripoli except by
The parents of Trayvon Martin met with publishers this week to shop a book about their son, the unarmed black teenager who was shot and killed in Florida in 2012. According to two publishing executives who participated in meetings, Mr. Martin’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, said they intended to write a book that gives the full picture of their son while tracing their own experience of shock and sorrow. The meetings were described as somber and moving by publishers who were present. Ms. Fulton and Mr. Martin were accompanied by Jan Miller, their Dallas-based literary agent. One publishing executive said Mr.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said she spoke with Speaker John Boehner on Tuesday and asked when an overhaul to immigration laws could be considered in the House. “He told me, yes we have to wait until next year,” Pelosi told reporters on Wednesday morning. Democrats have been pushing House Republicans to hold a vote on a landmark immigration reform bill that was passed in June, or try to work on their own immigration legislation. But Republicans have been apprehensive, with the most conservative members opposed to anything that could provide a pathway to citizenship or legalization for undocumented immigrants.
Some high-profile bipartisanship in Washington on Thursday night, as former Republican presidential candidate John McCain praised Democratic Vice President Biden for his long-time support of foreign aid. McCain, a senator from Arizona, said Biden -- a former Senate colleague from Delaware -- "deserves our gratitude and respect for his many years of effective leadership in ensuring that all the resources America has to influence the course of world events are funded adequately and used effectively." The 2008 GOP presidential nominee also said he has never "doubted for a moment that the United States of America is fortunate to be served
New statistics indicate that the Obama administration intentionally refrained from sanctioning Iran following the June election of President Hassan Rouhani, lending credence to multiple reports that the White House began secretly courting Tehran from the first moments of Rouhani’s presidency. Prior to Rouhani’s June 14 election, the U.S. Treasury Department issued 10 sanction announcements targeting a total of 183 entities that were aiding and abetting Iran’s rogue oil trade and its nuclear weapons program, according to statistics compiled from publicly available releases on the Treasury’s website. New designations were issued each month from February to June 4, including six in the month
The White House said Friday that North Korea’s reported execution of the uncle of leader Kim Jong Un is “another example of the extreme brutality of the North Korean regime.” Presidential spokesman Jay Carney said the Obama administration hasn’t been able to confirm reports of the execution but has no reason to doubt them. Mr. Carney said the execution shows “the values of the regime, their low regard for human life and what is probably the worst human-rights record in the world.” North Korea’s state-run news service said Jang Song Thaek was guilty of “attempting to overthrow the state by
New York — The anchor who might beat Bill O’Reilly gets her eyelash extensions applied one at a time, with tweezers and dabs of glue, about 90 minutes before showtime, right after a motorized gun sprays foundation over her face, neck, shoulders, collarbone and sternum, wiping out a galaxy of light freckles that spreads across her — Let me stop you right there. Photos of the day Uruguay legalizes marijuana, Kiev police pull back from protesters, aging U.S. prison population and more. Tuesday´s Photos of the day Would you write this way about a man? About O’Reilly himself? At least that’s what Megyn Kelly might ask at
In August 2013 I became very sick with what I thought was a cold. After a few days I lost vision in my left eye and I checked into the hospital. I soon found out that what I thought was a summer cold was actually Strep bacteria poisoning my blood stream. The bacteria blinded my left eye, ate a hole through my heart, caused five strokes on both sides of my brain and forced the removal of my prosthetic left knee. Dr. Lee was the surgeon assigned to perform open heart surgery. What was originally scheduled to last four hours ended
The health director who approved the release of President Obama’s birth certificate has died in a plane crash, Hawaiian officials said Thursday. Loretta Fuddy died after the Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft she was travelling on went down shortly after leaving Kalaupapa Airport at around 3:15 p.m. local time (10:15 a.m. ET) on Wednesday. The other eight people on board were rescued, Richard Schuman, president of Makani Kai Air, told NBC News early Thursday, adding that that there was no indication as to why the plane had crashed. Fuddy hit the headlines two years ago when she approved a waiver request allowing Obama to
Fox News host Megyn Kelly has made herself the center of a racial controversy by declaring that Jesus Christ and Santa Claus are white. On Wednesday night, Kelly was responding to an article by Slate writer Aisha Harris, who wrote an article entitled “ Santa Claus Should Not Be a White Man Anymore .” The popular news host told viewers of “The Kelly File,” her hit FNC program, “When I saw this headline, I kinda laughed and I said, ‘Oh, this is ridiculous. Yet another person claiming it´s racist to have a white Santa.’ And by the way, for all you kids
Views of the tea party are at all-time lows in a new poll, as primary challenges to establishment Republicans continue to heat up Washington. Just 30 percent of Americans view the tea party favorably in a new Gallup poll released Wednesday, the movement’s lowest point since Gallup began polling about it during its rise in 2010. Also in a first, a majority of Americans had an unfavorable view of the tea party, at 51 percent. Similar numbers of respondents described themselves as proponents or opponents of the tea party: Twenty-two percent identified themselves as tea party supporters, while 24 percent said they
Columnist Charles Krauthammer attacked new Obamacare rules unveiled by HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in a late Thursday conference call, saying the Obama administration is “approach[ing] banana republic lawlessness” by issuing the decrees. Krauthammer spoke with Fox News’ Bret Baier on a panel with Juan Williams and Judge Andrew Napolitano, as the three reacted to Sebelius’ new directives for insurance companies. “This is exactly a reaction to a deep understanding among Democrats that [Obamacare] is a train wreck,” he said. “And it’s a panic reaction. As the judge said, this is utterly lawless. This now approaches banana republic lawlessness.
WASHINGTON – It’s not exactly a ringing endorsement of the budget deal.“Embrace the suck,” House minority leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi told fellow Democrats Thursday morning, a source told Politico.“We need to get this off the table so we can go forward,” she added. It’s a way of telling her colleagues the budget deal negotiated with Republicans is the best they can get. Democrats are fuming that the bipartisan budget deal doesn’t extend unemployment benefits for more than a million Americans. One of Pelosi’s top lieutenants, Rep. Chris Van Hollen, the top Democrat on the House Budget Committee, said Thursday it
