No deal. No taxes. Not one single cent. Eliminate the death tax, no dividend or interest taxes on those earning less than 200,000. Federal budget cut to pre-1990 levels with no more than 10% of the cut coming from DoD. And every year with no budget, mandatory 1% budget cut. Otherwise right over the cliff.

As someone posited somewhere, what the WON should do is run out the clock and let all the tax cuts expire on 1-1-13. He can then blame the Pubbies and the lapdog media will carry the narrative to the sheeple. By doing this the rates on the 200K/250K earners automatically will go to 39.6% Then with the new Congress the Bamster can reduce the rates on everybody else to the current level and claim he reduced their taxes.

This scenario will also allow him to gut military spending and then restore spending on the social programs that are so precious to the Left thus proclaiming himself, again with the media´s help, the champion of the downtrodden. Replublicans would never realize what hit them.

Let´s just propose the 1999 budget. Taxes were slightly higher but spending was much less than now.

The "Danger of the Cliff" is just what the socialists need to frighten the masses into running head long into their cozy arms. The United States of America, as we knew it, it now dead. There will never again be a Federal budget and taxes will be spent according to the latest political whims of the power elites and their cronies. Banks are the new God and the Bully-Boys, Øbama-ites, are the Grand Cardinals - oppose them at your peril! The masses have chosen the new world and it is to their liking.

Worse yet, Schumer and his meery band of spenders already have plans to spend every cent they get through higher taxes on another non-stimulous transfer of wealth to their buddy unions, more worthless job training (probably on how to keep a part-time job), etc.
