| “There is not a liberal America and a conservative America — there is the United States of America. There is not a black America and a white America and latino America and Asian America — there’s the United States of America.” ~Barack Obama We are now only two weeks past the 2012 election. Since then, every state in the country has residents who have submitted petitions for secession to the White House from the Union. Seven as of this writing have reached the 25,000 signers required for an official White House response.

We are a conservative-leaning America, but we have elected a very liberal President, and added more liberal Democrats to the Senate.
Republicans need to focus on outlining the agenda as economics, and how the Democrats are far more liberal than the electorate as a whole. Focus on how the Liberal EPA will destroy the economic output, thus, revenues that will affect teachers, fire and police, in particular for that region.

I think the biggest issue is how to persuade the "moochers" to become "creators". I wonder if any of the 18,500 workers at the former Hostess Co had the light go off in their head?

I see where this guy is coming from and share his concerns, if not all of his recommendations. But the following is a major, Huh???
FTA: ´´Businesses need to start ignoring harmful decrees from Washington. Drill on federal land, open the Keystone pipeline and disregard the other nonsense that threatens our economy.´´
Mr. O´Bryant, Make that a double, major, Huh??? Easy for YOU to recommend, sir.

#4, this is a political issue, not a ´law´ issue. The libatrds ignore law when they overstep the limits placed on them by the constitution. They count on the conservatives remaining properly-mannered rubes who follow the ´law´ - so the libtards cheat, murder and steal to gain a position manufacturing ´laws´ the rubes will be forced by their socially-engineered natures to follow. The libtards are dramatically out-numbered by conservatives. Once the rubes wake-up and start ignoring the libtards where they´ve overstepped the supreme ´law´ of the land known as the constitution, the libtards can escalate and cause a backlash (remember they´re seriously outnumbered) or face the fact they´ve lost. Most libtard controlled governments in the past escalated - and it didn´t turn out well for them. Remember, government is mostly a fiction that only works as long as all involved play along with the ´perception´.

Just doing my part and I call it boycotting America. I refuse from now on to watch any show/movie that features africans, they have become the most racist people in this country. Refuse to go to any movies, I go to at least one a month with my elderly mother and brother. We have decided to rent a movie and have lunch at home from now on. We are making most of our Christmas gifts or giving stuff I bought last year during the sales. Don´t spend any money beyond basic necessities, food, utilities, etc.. I´m down from four shows a week on TV to three, last week´s episode of Person of Interest was highlighting homosexual marriage, so will no longer watch it. Cut back on eating out, try to buy things not made in China. These are just a few things I can think of off the top of my head, but you all get my drift.

To add to a previous poster, we have lost the critical distinctions between law, meaning legislation; regulations, meaning the diktats and ukases published by unelected bureaucrats; and rulings, the whims and opinions put forth by unelected (ans apparently unaccountable) black robed Brahmins. As a citizen, I am bound to heed LAWS. I have considerably less reverence for rulings and regulations. ´Stroke of a pen, law of the land´ has zero Constitutional support. Neither does the assumption that judges have the power to make law via their opinions. A pox on all of them.

Let´s also try to support our business friends...Chick-fil-A, etc. There are plenty out there with good conservative management or ownership.
Some years ago I quit watching regular TV shows like Law and Order...basically leftist, PC propaganda. If you need a professional person try to pick someone on our side.
It´s time to toughen up and use what influence and money we have to do all we can. The left in this country are the real enemy and need to be treated as enemies in every way we can.

No, America is doomed. The poor in this country are not actually poor. The US Government pays $60,000 to each POOR household. They come in to the ER for their FREE healthcare, they all have cell phones, they are obese, they have body piercings and they all have tattoos. My 40 year old nephew has never had a job in his life; he lives on welfare, he has food stamps, and the government pays most of utility bill in Phoenix. He and his other "poor" friends run the air-conditioner all day and all night for $100 per month. They are all buying GM cars, because Ally (GM´s finance company) is owned 80% by the government, and they can all buy cars with no down, and when they get the car and do not make the payment, they simply hide the car at a friend´s house. I am sick of it.

The author’s points are well taken.
My family is debt-free and deals on a cash basis. We don’t patronize lefty organizations (Starbucks, Progressive Insurance, Ben & Jerry, etc.
It’s important to remember that some 70 – 80% of the GDP is attributable to consumer spending. And we little people are the controllers of consumer spending. By judicial use of the power we can move mountains.
Spend shrewdly, my friends; yours is the power

I agree about saving and spending. I am buying as little as possible. Christmans will be sensible and conservative this year. I have not sent greeting cards in the last few years. I have not had cable for years and have never missed it. I plan not to renew magazine subscriptions and try to buy from red states. I threw my LL Bean catalog in the garbage the day it arrived. My house and 11 year old car are paid for. I save and pay in cash when I have to buy something. I was an office worker before retiring. I am not rich, but if I can do this almost anyone can. Watch the spending and save a little each week/month.

No need to panic. Thoughtfull, hardworking, motivated, thrifty people will always be sucessfull no matter who is president, what political party is in power or what laws, taxes, mandates or entitlements are enacted. Remember, professional benefit seekers will never accumulate wealth or likely elevate themselves. They will never compete in the world of ideas or achievements. Best to profit from the current liberal democratic government policies and prepare to profit from conservative Republican policies when they regain power.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care? Why do you, Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat of Rhode Island, care
