| BANGKOK, Thailand — Taking a break from deficit negotiations for a whirlwind tour of southeast Asia, President Obama joked this afternoon as he toured a sacred Buddhist temple that he could use some prayer to help reach a budget deal. “We’re working on this budget, we’re going to need a lot of prayer for that,” the president told a monk at the Wat Pho Royal Monastery. Shortly after arriving in Bangkok, Obama, accompanied by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, toured the Viharn of the Reclining Buddha, one of the most famous sites in Thailand, and the Eastern Viharn Phra.

Is it just me, or does this seem like an odd time for the the Butcher to be on an extended trip outside of the country while we are so close to the fiscal cliff? Well, I´m sure Co-President Jarrett has the situation in hand.

“We left the last page blank,” Obama said, so they could add a photo of themselves.

0bama is all talk. He has not been serious about a budget for the last four years; he presents some ridiculous budget, not even a democrat will vote for his budget. So no budget gets passed, 0bama just shrugs and says he tried. Then he keeps on spending and spending and spending. The Republicans need to get rid of Boehner, who is worthless, spineless and gets nothing done. What a horrid mess. We are doomed.

#2 VJ had some serious work to do and she needed O´zippie out of the way so he couldn´t screw up the works with his mouth. And she always has the autopen to sign the paperwork anyway.
When he returns he won´t even be told what he ´signed´ while he was away….not that he would object. It just keeps him from babbling about it when he´s running off TP.

What do you do when your base is angry about Guantanamo? I guess that you promise to close it again. You also blame Congress for not giving you the money to do it. The problem is that it was a Congress controlled by Democrats that did not provide the funding. What about drones? You promise that we will "drone" more carefully from now on. Let´s hope that the terrorists will cooperate by keeping children away from them. What about tapping reporters phones? You say that it was about national security and because that "darn Congress"

As the 50th anniversary in November of the President´s assassination nears, an investigative team from local Dallas station WFAA went digging for the exact location of the broken tiles and medical equipment used on that fateful day. Every Memorial Day, when I run into the grocery store to pick up those last minute items for the three day weekend’s picnic, I’m met with members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) selling their poppies. We cherish, too, the poppy red/ that grows on fields where valor led; It seems to signal to the skies/that blood of heroes never dies-- “We Shall Keep the Faith” by Moina Michael -I remember as a kid that it was very common to see paper poppies being sold around Memorial Day. You could even go to the post office and purchase one

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) have reversed their longstanding membership guidelines to allow homosexuals to join the organization. Abuse Of Power: Any scandal investigation that expects a "Eureka!" moment, a White House e-mail, or Oval Office smoking gun will be misguided. In fact, the dots are already connected directly to the president. Barack Obama is not foolish enough to have a tape recording system hidden in his desk. And his administration staff are not careless enough to send one another incriminating e-mails. If the president was behind the IRS unlawfully harassing conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, we can be sure the communications were all sotto voce and in persona, like any good Chicago political operator.
