Shocking state of the NHS:
Half a million patients forced

Daily Mail [UK], by Jo MacFarlane & Brendan Carlin

The number of seriously ill patients forced to wait more than half an hour on trolleys and in ambulances before being admitted to accident and emergency has rocketed by up to 300 percent in just 12 months. Figures uncovered in an investigation by The Mail on Sunday reveal mounting delays for 999 patients at hospitals across the country as casualty units struggle to cope with Government cuts and the closure and downgrading of other A&E wards. Nearly half a million patients brought into casualty by ambulance last year were left for half an hour or more in vehicles or in

Wait until 2014. In the US, that 1/2 million is going to turn into 15,000,000 waiting outside emergency rooms.

Coming soon to the US, thanks to 0bamacare.

Seems like a preview into our future healthcare.

This is already here. When I lived in CA, I was left on a gurney in the emergency room for four hours with pancreatitis before anyone gave me a pain killer and sent me home with a diagnoses of gall stones. Went back six hours later with a swollen liver and they still kept me waiting until my screams brought some attention. This ER was notoriously understaffed and overwhelmed with illegals. I can´t imagine what it´s like now.
I´m grateful I´m in a state with high quality health care and hospitals, but unfortunately, I now know what´s coming down the pike.

America has allowed a legion of fools, brainwashed by a cult of personality and bought by "free stuff", to deliver us to a health care debacle. If your state opts out of participation in ObamaCare, support those brave patriots who oppose the King.

It is indeed already here. Hospitals simply can´t hire enough bureaucrats and nursing "administrative" personnel. No money, however, when I beg to hire more skilled nursing staff in our busy ER.

Do not blame Obamacare...blame the people who voted for Obama, the SCOTUS and all the congressidiots that voted for this unconstitutional and illegal piece of "bleep".

It will get much worse than we can imagine in the US because BO and the legislature is allowing a gazillion illegals to enter and remain in the US.

A family member recently spent over two and half hours on a trolley in the corridor at Weill Cornell New York after an auto accident. She was lucky.

This is the British template of national health service, meaning that medical service is free at point of service and general taxation pays all medical services.

This is not what obamacare is.

The German national health service is where insurance is manditory and those not able to pay for insurance are given insurance by the government which is paid for by general taxation.

This is not what obamacare is.

Obamacare is making insurance manditory and those who can´t afford insurance are given insurance and the bill is added to your insurance premiums. This is the worst of all options and you can be assured that medicare and medicaid cost will slowly be added to your premiums. It´s outright thievery. Don´t get sick.

Hard to imagine that Obamascare will be as bad as this. Realistically it will probably be much worse.

Thank all the Obama voters for our dark future.

Barack Obama bombs in Berlin:
a weak, underwhelming address

When John F. Kennedy delivered his “Ich Bin Ein Berliner” speech in front of the Brandenburg Gate on June 26, 1963, 450,000 people flocked to hear him. Fifty years later a far more subdued invitation-only crowd of 4,500 showed up to hear Barack Obama speak at the same location in Berlin. [Snip] JFK had a clear message when he came to Berlin a half century ago – the free world must stand up to Communist tyranny. 24 years later, President Reagan stood in the same spot famously calling on the Soviets to “tear down this wall.” Reagan’s speech was a

Barack Obama has given the Taliban

Barack Obama’s attempts to negotiate a peace deal with the Taliban look to be dead in the water before they have even started. [Snip] One moment Mr Karzai is being hailed as the saviour of the West, the only Afghan leader who can be trusted to take the fight to the Taliban. The next he is being denounced as a corrupt and weak politician who is only interested in his own self-advancement. On this occasion, however, Mr Karzai’s temper tantrum, and suspension of talks with the US within hours of Obama’s announcement, appears to be fully justified.

Wind farms are like one of those frustratingly unripened boils: you know that you shouldn´t keep squeezing but they´re so noxious and irritating and hideous that you just can´t resist. If you´ve got the same problem, then I heartily recommend you read this brilliant essay on the subject by Russell Taylor. I love his dismissal of people who claim to find wind turbines beautiful: "…a sentiment I find as credible as a Soviet peasant admiring the Tiger tank that had just squashed his grandmother." But what really grabbed me was his analysis at the end of wind turbines´ totemic

US Secretary of State John Kerry has spoken by phone to Afghan President Hamid Karzai to try to defuse tensions, an Afghan spokesman has told the BBC. [Snip] The Taliban premises in Qatar opened on Tuesday, on the same day that Nato handed over security for the whole of Afghanistan to the Afghan government for the first time since the Taliban were ousted in 2001.Mr Karzai said in a statement on Wednesday that the office was "totally contradictory to the guarantees that were made by the USA to Afghanistan". His officials said he objected to a Taliban flag flying

Surge protection plan will keep lights

A vast tract of the East Coast, from Washington DC to New York is in danger of being without power for up to two years, if a massive solar flare knocks out the power grid. With the Sun pushing out unusually large solar flares, capable of disrupting power supplies, a device is being proposed that would prevent more than 300 million Americans being left without power. House Republicans have proposed legislation to push the Government to provide surge protectors and grid-saving devices that would offer protection in case of a massive electromagnetic pulse from either a flare or nuclear weapon.

Michelle Obama and her daughters were joined by the President´s half-sister Auma on Tuesday as the group made a sombre tour of the Holocaust memorial in Berlin. The First Lady, Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11, bowed their heads and listened carefully to the words of a tour guide. Michelle looked lost in thought as she wandered through the vast site while Malia appeared deeply moved and reached out to touch the stones. The Obamas are in Germany for a two-day visit and while the President meets with leader Angela Merkel, his wife and daughters visited the Memorial to the

Afghanistan suspends talks

Afghanistan has suspended talks with the US to discuss the nature of US military presence after foreign troops withdraw in 2014. A spokesman for President Hamid Karzai said the decision was taken over "contradictions" in the US proposal of direct talks with the Taliban. Mr Karzai also ruled out talking to the Taliban until the peace process was "Afghan-led". Earlier, four US soldiers died in a Taliban attack at an Afghan air base. A spokesman for the Taliban said the militants had launched two rockets at Bagram airbase, the largest military base for US troops in Afghanistan.

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Likening religious schools to segregation--a racist system that forced blacks to attend different schools and use different facilities than whites in the American South--President Barack Obama told a town hall meeting for youth in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Monday that there should not be Catholic and Protestant schools because such schools cause division. "Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity--symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others--these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it,"

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Celebrity chef Paula Deen admitted in a recorded deposition to telling racist jokes, using the N-word, and planning a slavery-themed wedding, according to multiple reports. The May 17 deposition where she made the alleged admissions is part of a $1.2 million lawsuit brought by Lisa Jackson, the former manager of a Savannah, Georgia, restaurant run by Deen and her brother Bubba Hiers. Jackson alleges in the suit that Deen used the N-word at the restaurant and that Hiers sexually harassed her. According to the reports, in the deposition, Deen replied “Yes, of course,”

This is the thirtieth anniversary of the publication of How Democracies Perish, an analysis of the spread of world communism by Jean-François Revel, one of freedom´s most serious French defenders since Tocqueville. At the heart of this work, Revel details "The Tools of Communist Expansion," among which the most relevant for understanding our current situation comes in Chapter 16, "Ideological Warfare and Disinformation." The profound simplicity of Revel´s nuts and bolts account of totalitarianism´s Cold War advance, far from being obsolete
