| With new cybersecurity legislation failing to pass the Senate this week, expectations are growing that the White House will soon step in with an executive order to shore up cyberdefenses for the power grid, water purification, and other vital systems. White House officials have said that while the president prefers a broad legislative solution, the executive branch would have to act this year if Congress did not. A document purporting to be a leaked draft of the executive order has been on the Internet since September.

If congress does not pass a law, then an executive order accomplishing the presidents desires goal is a direct conflict with the rule of law and grounds for impeachment.

An ice wave flowing from Millie Lacs Lake in Minnesota has been captured on amateur video, showing an expanding wave of frozen water engulfing gardens and threatening people´s homes. The video was filmed by Darla Johnson on Saturday morning and shows the wave of ice visibily advancing on her house near Millie Lacs Lake in the northern state of Minnesota. The peculiar phenomenon is caused by high winds pushing ice off the surface of a lake. Over the weekend, a 29ft wall of ice from a lake just over the border in Canada destroyed at least 12 homes

NEW YORK — Ex-CIA director David Petraeus (peh-TRAY’-uhs) is replacing one kind of intelligence work with another. Macaulay (muh-KAHL’-lee) Honors College at City University of New York said Tuesday the retired four-star general has been named a visiting professor for public policy. (Snip) Petraeus has a doctorate from Princeton University and has written widely on international relations, military strategy and tactics and national security issues. He says in a statement released by Macaulay he’s pleased to teach at the college, where most students are children of immigrants. He says he looks forward to leading a seminar on the global economic slowdown.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”
