| Jerusalem - Israel prepared Friday for a possible ground invasion of the Gaza Strip as Hamas militants continued to lob rockets into Israel, and one of them landed near Jerusalem for the first time since 1970. The rocket strikes outside Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, Israel’s main population centers, sharply raised the stakes in the ongoing standoff between Israel and Gaza’s Hamas rulers, providing sobering evidence that Palestinian militants possess weaponry that can strike deeper inside Israel than ever before. In particular, the strike on Jerusalem — a city both Israelis and Palestinians claim as their

OK...Here is a plan. Mossad sends a secret team into Gaza with a rocket that they then launch into Jerusalem at friday evening prayers. They jump and shout all that Allah Akbar foolishness while doing it, then disappear into the rat holes and home to safety. The rocket is programmed to take out the AL-AQSA MOSQUE, that gold domed dung stain on Jerusalem. Hamas gets the blame for the destruction and mass casualties.

The hammas-dogs need to be flattened, then ground into the sand. When the last one is gone, then Israel can live in peace... until the next islamo-tard uprising.

1. Let´s give Israel [in our aid to them] something like Net Jets lease time... covering some of our B-52s.
2. Not another aid penny to Hamas, the PA, Fatah -- whatever the knotted, in-bred distinction-without-a-differnce cabal of terrorists actually happens to be. And if they keep attacking, we start [promptly] cutting off aid to any country we say might be sponsoring them, or isn´t acting to stop the Muslim terrorists.
#2: A very interesting scenario....

Y´all hear that sound? It´s Gabriel warming up his chops. ´When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound and time shall be no more, and the morning breaks eternal bright and fair; When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore, and the roll is called up yonder - I´ll be there!´ It won´t be long, folks. For those who understand, the signs couldn´t be plainer.

Why do I think this is a trap for Israel? Just let slip a few secrets to obama´s muslim allies, slaughter a bunch of Israeli´s and assume the people of Israel will remove their leader and put one obama likes, in his place. I really don´t think that is a stretch.

(NICOSIA) - The president of Cyprus assured his people a bailout deal he struck with the European Union was in their best interests, but banks will remain closed until Thursday - and even then subject to capital controls to prevent a run on deposits. Returned from fraught negotiations in Brussels, President Nicos Anastasiades said late on Monday the 10-billion euro ($13 billion) rescue plan agreed there in the early hours of the morning was "painful" but essential to avoid economic meltdown. He agreed to close down the second-largest bank, Cyprus Popular, and inflict heavy losses on big

The United Nations will launch an investigation into Syrian claims that rebels used chemical weapons against its troops, even as U.S. officials told CNN Thursday that initial intelligence reports suggest no such weapons were used. The announcement follows days of claims by the Syrian government and rebel that the each used chemical weapons against the other side, allegations that have raised concern the ongoing civil war had entered a new, more deadly phase. U.S. President Barack Obama and other American officials have said in recent days there was no evidence to substantiate the reports that

Stocks turned lower in choppy trading Tuesday, with the euro tumbling to its lowest level since November, amid worries that Cyprus will reject its bailout plan. The Dow Jones Industrial Average turned lower, dragged by Caterpillar. If the blue-chip index closes lower, it will log its first three-day losing streak this year. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq also tilted lower. The CBOE Volatility Index (VIX), widely considered the best gauge of fear in the market, jumped near 15. Among key S&P sectors, consumer staples held modest gains, while energy slumped.

Cyprus´ embattled president was on Sunday in talks with Brussels and political rivals to ease the terms of a planned levy on smaller deposit holders as he tried to scrape together a parliamentary majority for a €10 billion bailout for the debt-laden island. President Nicos Anastasiades is still intending to raise €5.8 billion from Cypriot bank accounts to help fund the bailout, an unprecedented move by the eurozone that could yet spark wider concern about the safety of bank deposits in the bloc. Cypriot authorities were weighing an additional bank holiday on Tuesday pending emergency parliamentary ratification of the deal which would

President Assad Bashar is running out of government troops to fight off rebels, a new report detailing the Syrian leader’s recruitment effort suggests. A Sunni cleric close to Mr. Assad — grand mufti Sheik Ahmad Badr al Deen Hassoun — has issued a decree for more military recruits, The Guardian reports. The decree suggests a dire need; if volunteers don’t step up, the government may start enforcing its compulsory service authorities, The Guardian says.

JERUSALEM — An influential Republican senator has called Jerusalem the capital of Israel, taking a stand on an explosive issue between Israel and the Palestinians. The fate of Jerusalem is one of the most intractable issues in the Mideast conflict with both Israelis and Palestinians claiming rights to the city. In his first official visit to the country, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio told Israel’s president on Wednesday that Jerusalem is “of course the capital of your country.” He reiterated America’s bipartisan support for Israel.

Iran and Hezbollah, its Lebanese proxy, are building a network of militias inside Syria to preserve and protect their interests in the event that President Bashar al-Assad’s government falls or is forced to retreat from Damascus, according to U.S. and Middle Eastern officials. The militias are fighting alongside Syrian government forces to keep Assad in power. But officials believe Iran’s long-term goal is to have reliable operatives in place in the event that Syria fractures into separate ethnic and sectarian enclaves. A senior Obama administration official cited Iranian claims that Tehran was backing as many as 50,000 militiamen in Syria.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. Marimow broke earlier this week. The memo’s a masterpiece, too. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience

WASHINGTON —In a dramatic departure from existing White House procedures, President Obama requested today that his staff start cc’ing him on stuff. “Look, I know a lot of you think I’m really busy and you don’t want to bother me,” the President reportedly told his staff in an Oval Office meeting. “But cc me anyway. It’s good for me to keep up on what’s going on around here.” “It’s not good when I turn on the news and they’re talking about something at the White House and I’m like, whoa, when did that happen?”
