Gov. Jindal is ignoring
his people´s needs

With every decision Gov. Bobby Jindal makes, the message becomes clearer to hundreds of thousands of Louisiana residents who are uninsured: The state has no interest in helping you. Bruce Greenstein, secretary of Louisiana´s Department of Health and Hospitals, sent a letter Wednesday to federal health officials refusing to take part in the creation of a health care exchange where uninsured residents will be able to buy affordable policies from private insurers. The state´s decision won´t stop the creation of the exchange, which is part of President Barack Obama´s health care reform plan, but will leave it to the federal

The election is ten days passed and out come the knives for Governor Jindal. He must be a good choice for President.

Like the last election, the mainstream media and their buddies at the DNC are getting started on the destruction of the Republican field.

If zero´s plan is so damn good, WHY not set up federal offices to run the stupid thing? The new orleans picky un would have to support zero as they sold out their own people to the highest bedder many years ago.

There will not be affordable policies available through private companies. This will never, ever happen.

Sorry, forget to give a hat-tip to Limbaugh. Limbaugh opined the reason for Obamacles moving the date is to give time for all his pet newspaper editors to flay the governors who are refusing to take part in health care exchanges.

Fight, fight, fight!!!

The "STATE" cannot provide insurance for anyone without first taking the money from taxpayers who are having a tough enough time paying for their own insurance especially now the Obamacare is kicking and costs are rising.

Enough of this coddling lifestyles of the non-workers or content part time 8-16 hours per week workers just enough to get big Earned Income and child tax credits refunded on average of $4,500.

I think some people really do respond without one clue what is in the article. Jindal is simply not putting his rubber stamp on Obamacare because his state, like all states, is bankrupt. Louisiana shoudl not be made to pay one cent of this monstrosity. If this is what Obama and his takers want then the Fed should foot the whole bill. The exchanges will be around a max of 10 years anyway as the private insurance industry will be destroyed by Obamacare so why waste huge amount of state funds putting together a program MEANT to fail.

Reply 14 - Posted by: lavalette, 11/16/2012 3:06:44 PM     (No. 9018995)

Romney and Jindal are both right. Romney is right about the problem and Jindal is right about the solution, namely that the GOP must frame its appeal to all Americans.

he exchanges will happen. It isn´t a matter of Jindel stopping them, its a matte of who runs them. So the fat, sick and lazy will be able to get free goobernment healthcare through a Federal exchange instead of a state exchange. Big deal!

Teachable moment here, Bobby. This is what you can expect from here on out. The craven fear of calling a parasite entitlement junkie a parasite entitlement junkie will not induce the parasite entitlement junkies to vote for you. You´ll get out-pandered by the Democrats every time. You and/or Rubio and/or Jeb Bush are going to find that out in 2016 when you get your butts handed to you again.

Reply 19 - Posted by: KTWO, 11/16/2012 4:06:00 PM     (No. 9019131)

#6 and others speak for me. Let the feds run the exchange. Why have a different bureaucracy in each state.

The feds will just end up bullying the state exchange anyway. And Washington will change the regulations and details at any time for political reasons.

As I suggested elsewhere the feds should contract exchange operation to the post office. It needs more revenue and already has buildings and staff almost everywhere.

Postmaster Of Waco and Chairman Of The Death Panel seems like a nice title.

Bobby realizes that taxpayer have a finite amount of money but governments view their funds as unlimited. Two rules of governements in general: They always spend more than they take in and they never take in enough to satisify their wants.

Jindal is playing the games three moves deep.

There is no enumerated power for the feds to wade into individual States and meddle in health care. When they do, constitutional legal challenges will bog down ObamaNoCare for years.

Jindal is calling the federal bluff. The ball is in Hussein’s court. He punted the stand-off to February, but he’ll have to stand up at some point.

The US State Department has issued a statement in the aftermath of yesterday’s barbaric killing of a British soldier by Islamist militants in Woolwich. It reads in full: The United States condemns today’s attack in the Woolwich district of London. We stand with our U.K. allies in the face of such senseless violence. Our thoughts and condolence are with the family of the victim and the British people. This is exactly the same language President Obama used to describe the killing of the US Ambassador to Libya and three American personnel in Benghazi on

Is the worm turning against Barack Obama? After four-plus years of being given the benefit of the doubt by the bulk of the US media, the President now suddenly feels more vulnerable. Today both the New York Times and the Washington Post have run prominent and angry editorials and columns slamming the administration for its attempt to criminalise a Fox News reporter James Rosen for working a State Department source to obtain a story. The "Rosen Affair"--as it is now known--is poisoning the well in Washington at an alarming rate for Mr Obama, with an indignant White House press corps

A friend of Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev implicated himself and Tsarnaev in a 2011 triple slaying just before he was killed by an FBI agent early Wednesday, NBC and CBS News are reporting. Authorities were pressuring Chechan immigrant Ibragim Todashev, 27, to make a full confession to the murders when he suddenly turned violent, according to CBS. An FBI agent responded by firing his weapon and killing Todashev. The incident happened at Todashev´s Orlando apartment, not far from Universal Studios. Initially, authorities claimed that Todashev had lunged at the agent with a knife, but they later backtracked, saying it

This is the dramatic moment a woman appears to remonstrate with a man carrying a knife following a brutal attack in Woolwich. The image shows a man wearing a brown jacket and carrying what appears to be a large knife, speaking to the woman beside a blue car which has significant damage to its front end at the scene where another man died following the attack. The two alleged attackers are thought to have waited around for 20 minutes until Metropolitan Police officers arrived and then tried to attack them--but were swiftly shot by armed policemen, including a woman.

A dramatic video emerged tonight of a man with bloodied hands, carrying knives and ranting ´We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you´, after a serving soldier was hacked to death by two men just 200 yards from an Army barracks. The man can be seen and heard talking to the camera in footage obtained by ITV News. It came as terrified eyewitnesses saw two men shot by police marksmen after the machete attack in Woolwich, south-east London. It is thought that the two men waited around for 20 minutes until police arrived and then tried to

Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.
