| As I wrote last night, yesterday’s testimony to Congress by Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and Acting CIA Director Mike Morell left plenty of work for General Petraeus, who is testifying today. For example, neither Clapper nor Morell could shed any real light on why the official line of the intelligence community apparently moved away from the initial (and correct) view that the Benghazi attack was terrorism. Now, CNN reports (via the Weekly Standard) that Petraeus may not be able to shed much light on this question either. But by not shedding it, he may well deepen the scandal.

The White House didn´t "fix" anything. Let´s call a spade a spade. Barack Obama is responsible for the lie that was presented to the American people. It starts with him and he let Americans die.
Impeach him NOW! Congress, do your duty or you are negligent.

Like the Interior Department gnomes (hat tip WSJ) changed the Oil Patch expert´s report to a Federal Judge that continued drilling in the Gulf presented no danger of additional spills.

Someone is missing from all this. Where is National Security Adviser Tom Donilon, the purported leaker of secrets and a guy who seems to have had his hand in a lot of mendacious O&Co pies? He´s be right up there near the top of my list of persons who might have been involved in "fixing" the intel that came from the CIA.
Tom Donilon is now playing coy about possibly being the next secretary of state.

The move to blame the video came from the Muslim Brotherhood cabal in the White House. IMHO. Someone prove me wrong. It was probably their influence that changed the CIA report.

The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

Let’s see if we can unravel one of the great mysteries of the Obama Administration. The latest invocations of the Incompetence Defense from President Obama, Eric Holder, and now the departing Acting IRS Commissioner (hilariously described by the Associated Press as “ousted,” even though he’s leaving exactly when he was originally scheduled to depart, in June) hold that all of these super-genius leaders found out about various outrages by watching the news, along with the rest of us. They have no idea what their subordinates do every day, until it blows up into a huge scandal on the evening news, and that’s why they should be left in charge of everything.

A year ago, The Associated Press discovered a foiled al-Qaida plot. Worried about the safety of an informant in the case, the CIA asked the AP to delay publishing the story until their spy could be secured. The AP agreed. Five days later, the CIA told the AP that their national security concerns were “no longer an issue.” As a seasoned AP team of reporters and editors made final edits to their scoop, the CIA backtracked and asked the AP to delay the story one more day. New national security concerns? Nope. The only concern was about public relations.

So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison.
