WalMart employees are planning to stage their largest walkout ever on Black Friday, the biggest holiday shopping day at the world´s largest retail store.[Snip] Expecting 1,000 protests both at stores and online is watchdog group Corporate Action Network and Union-supported groups OUR Walmart and Making Change at Wal-Mart. Employees in Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Los Angeles, Milwaukee and D.C. have signed up in the walkout according to Making Change’s director Dan Schlademan. Work stoppages are also planned in Oklahoma, Mississippi, Louisiana and Minnesota. Mr Schaldeman said no specific store locations are being released for fear of worker retaliation

Fire every last one of them, and then reject their claims for unemployment.

They should have done this a long time ago. Crap family the Waltons. that store is like the night of the living dead - that´s why it had to close in Germany where employees are used to being treated like adults.

You mean we´re going to have to walk through a crowd of ignorant and thoughtless employees at the entrance to the store who are standing there, blocking your way, smoking their foul smelling cigarettes and talking trash about white people in what sounds like English but isn´t really English, only to get inside the store and find the aisles littered with pallets and no one around who can help or will help?

So what? That´s what´s there now!

Really want to change management policy?

Buy up WalMart stock.

Oh. Don´t want to be "that involved" with the company? Want to have influence on the basis of pressure alone?

Whatever happened to that "skin in the game" stuff?

I can understand why someone doesn´t want to get up from the dinner table and go to work but people need to realize the world we live in today and if you´re in retail, you can´t afford to let the competition out hustle you.

Personally,I think it´s moronic to storm these stores when you have another whole month to shop but this is a fad that isn´t going away anytime soon. What kills me is a lot of these people are looking to buy stuff for themselves, not other people. This self gifting crap is as loony as the stampedes.

The beauty of Union minded ignorance is......Walmart WILL fire them all. Remember when the meat cutters/butchers were demanding changes? Walmart fired them all and started selling prepackaged meat.
Union slugs do not care about the workers they only care about higher union dues and more revenue.

Gee #13...you love being a rumor monger eh?

Yes They gave to Obama but they gave more to Romney. They are considered a conservative company. Just playing both sides of the street which could be a good business interest. I´ve seen several of the big businesses doing the same thing. So please can the rumor mongering. OK?

Hope you don´t drink coffee at Starbucks. That would give you a tag you wouldn´t want.

To the story, most people have no clue about businesses. They think just because a business shows X dollars as profit that they are rich. If anyone believes that they are really stupid. Profits is what goes back into the business to help keep it going and make improvements. Hey if you build a business from one store to a mega enterprise why should you make a large salary? Stop complaining. You only complain because you haven´t got the courage to build your own mega enterprise. Hey if Dave Thomas and Al Copeland, both high school dropouts, or a country bunpkin could build a business (Wendy´s and Popeye´s Chicken, Ky Fried Chicken) and yu can´t do it then shut up and go to work. Just remember, with 23 million people out of work you CAN be replaced.

One more thing. If your Wal-Mart is crappy looking then why don´t you report the Manager to Corporate? It´s the Manager´s responsibility to have a clean efficient store. If you don´t complain to the proper people instead of just running your mouth then hush up and lump it. We have a superstore in this small town. The cleaners are in there every night cleaning up and the stock folks are stocking shelves. Obviously we have good Managers here.

Ozero´s "base" (Democratic Socialists of America/Socialist International) has been attacking Walmart for decades.
They do not like anything that makes people satisfied/happy (as Walmart´s fair prices do) since Marxist "community organizing"/spreading dissatisfaction is their game... in the push to UN world government/enslavement of the free world by greedy, corrupt, anti-democracy subhumans.
Fire the "liberal" protesters and hire conservatives.

Another example of our modern "entitled" class in the work place. My daughter´s small company just hired a recent college grad. She is appalled that she´s being asked to pitch in and help pull product -- she´d rather "do something productive which will grow the company." Evidentially, quickly filling orders for an on-line company is not growing the company. AND she asked about ObamaCare for her 5-month old baby and her unemployed husband. PHOOEY! Fire every one of ´em.

If you ever get hurt in a Walmart---say an item falls off a shelf and hits you, then you will find out what a crummy company they are. Me? I avoid then on Black Friday because I don´t want to get trampled to death. Wallyworld used to be a good company when Sam ran it. But now, they force manufacturers to move to China or Mexico. Let them go out of business as far as I am concerned.

I know of a marine sgt that had a lawn mower fall on him in Florida. After using tricks and lies to delay a trial, after slandering him and accusing him of doing it on purpose, it came to court. He was a retired master sgt and showed up in his dress blues the day of the trial. Wallyworld settled out of court

This should be interesting. After reading, prior to the election, that the owners of walmart were ONLY supporting obama and dem politicians who, walmart owners claimed, were more in tune with their thoughts and ideals, I understood why there was a different feel to shopping in walmart. Bloggers across the country that had shopped in the stores for years, were starting to describe unpleasant experiences, hostile workers, etc. Now we will see liberals fighting their workers and see what happens.

While we shop Wal-Marts mainly in the SW Missouri 4-state area, I getting sick of the bashing. I really wonder how many of you who make these claims actually shop at Wal-Mart. And if the condition of your stores is sooo bad, complain there not here. Maybe you´re getting the attitude from employees you project. Go ahead bash me, but sometimes I´m really disappointed in L-dotters, especially when I see similar responses anytime the Catholic Church is mentioned.

#23. Your disbelief doesn´t negate that it happened. And in the same area, a woman had a case of Christmas lights fall on her. Wallyworld lied and said it was a single box, edited bar code records, moved managers so they wouldn´t testify, etc.

Dem is the facts. Wallyworld is now a scummy company.

#30, I once worked at Walmart too and heartily concur! As for the several Walmarts in metro Charleston (SC), I find them clean and well-lighted, with friendly and helpful staff. Their shelves are well-stocked and the stores are neat and tidy (except sometimes in the toy department where parents have permitted children to leave toys on the floor).

If your Walmart isn´t like ours, absolutely report the management staff. You can either call 1-800-WALMART (925-6278) or e-mail a complaint to:

https://corporate.walmart.com/contact-us/store-corporate-feedback

And let me underscore what others have said about contributions to Democrats. Seems the the grandson of Sam Walton donated $300,000 to Obama. "The Sept. 10 gift stands in contrast to several other 2012 donations from Walton clan members, who have spent big in favor of conservative and Republican causes for years. An uncle and two aunts, for example, gave five- and six-figure donations to super PACs backing Republican nominee Mitt Romney and one of his GOP challengers, Jon Hunstman Jr." Also mentioned, an aunt who donated over $2m to Bush. Wal mart is a crummy place to work. My daughter had the highest customer happiness rating in the store (being 6 ft 2 and a blonde bombshell didn´t hurt) but as she approached the years as an employee where they would have to extend benefits they kept cutting back her hours to the point where she had to quit and get another job.
A few years later that manager was fired and she was offered her job back, but the damage was done.

I like Wal-Mart. Great place to get everyday stuff at decent prices.

No I wouldn´t shop there for a nice suit or a really good camera. I would pay more for quality and knowledgable customer service.

But for everyday stuff -- groceries, toiletries, school supplies, everyday clothes, etc, you just can´t beat them.

And I hope they fire every one of these strikers. In this economy, with real unemployment in the 20%+ range, it won´t take Wal-Mart more than a day to replace every one of them.

And since these idiots walked off the job, they will be denied unemployment.

Useful idiots for the unions, who aren´t going to do anything to help them once they are unemployed.

I blogged yesterday about this "segregated" Muslim event organised by the Islamic Society of the University of East London, due to happen tonight at UEL´s main lecture theatre on its Docklands campus. Much to my surprise, UEL immediately banned it from their campus. [Snip] UEL should be congratulated over this. As I pointed out, it has an "equality and diversity" policy. It didn´t know that the dinner organised by the Islamic society--which was to include a speech by the controversial anti-gay preacher Murtaza Khan--was segregated by sex and was providing a platform for an extremist. Deep in the flat and featureless landscape of eastern Ukraine, it is all too possible that the outline of World War III is taking shape. Whipped up by the Kremlin propaganda machine and led by Russian military intelligence, armed men are erecting road blocks, storming police stations and ripping down the country’s flag. They are demolishing not just their own country — bankrupt, ill-run and beleaguered — but also the post-war order that has kept most of Europe and us, here in Britain, safe and free for decades. Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly.
