President Obama´s silly, sexist
defense of Susan Rice

Fox News, by Kirsten Powers

Don´t pick on the little lady. Wednesday, President Obama bizarrely cast the U.N. Ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, as some delicate flower the boys should stop picking on for her dissembling claims on five Sunday talk shows following the killing of 4 Americans in Benghazi. But, there is no damsel in distress and Obama´s paternalistic bravado in defense of a top administration official is going to come back to haunt him. "If Sen. McCain and Sen. Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me," Obama intoned

Obie´s outcry reminds me of another woman named "Rice" and a watercraft named
"Monkey Business"
and another jug-eared politician daring the press to
"Come after me"
I hope they do.

Kirsten Powers, former Dem campaign operative (and dumped at one time by boyfriend Anthony Weiner, of all people!), has been for a long time a mindless, rather stubborn spewer of Dem talking points and support for Obie. The only difference between her and Juan Williams was that she was a white woman and more attractive.

Now she seems to be experiencing an epiphany and we are guardedly applauding. Guardedly because we don´t trust Dems, not even wobbly ones, until they get a new track record.

Yesterday she made remarks when she was with Megyn Kelly that I never thought we´d hear pass her lips.

So maybe there is some hope for Kirsten. We´ll see.

Ms. Powers is not opposing Obama, but merely showing her slightly stronger loyalty to the feminist cause in this case.
Obama is in essence saying "Bring It!", and I hope our senators and representatives don´t disappoint. Go on record as opposing her, even if you know you don´t have the votes to win. You can always point back to your stand when all hell breaks loose with her as SOS.

President Obama, incredibly, claimed that he was "happy to have the discussion" about Benghazi.
Really?
Because every time anyone asks the president about Benghazi he claims he can´t say anything because there is an investigation going on. The State Department actually said at one point that they would no longer take questions on the issue from reporters.

I really don´t know what to call this other than lying, except that "lying" doesn´t quite describe it. It´s more like dissociative reaction; the man lies while contrary evidence and his own previous lies contradict what he has just said. It´s other-worldly, like a Dali painting, where nothing is real, but where reality is distorted.

How do you deal with someone when they are holding a fork in their hand and saying, "Look at this knife"? And all around the fork-holder are people saying, "Yes, what a nice knife."

It has become what I´d imagine living inside the head of a totally insane person would be. The people surrounding and protecting Obama, and Obama himself, deem their serial lies to be the truth, and all except those on the Right say "yessir."

But it´s still fun to watch with amazement the circus of a press conference using your favorite websearcher (I refuse to grace "google" as a verb) and the words "slobbering Chicago reporter 11-14-12). Poor Christi. She loves her hero soooo much.

I saw his impassioned speech about Ms. Rice yesterday and compared it to how bloodless was his speech about what actually happened to four Americans in Benghazi. It reminded me of the very odd, emotionless speech after the Ft. Hood killings compared to the impassioned speech about the Cambridge Police after the Henry Gates affair, or the "if I had a son he would look like Trayvon" speech. One might conclude that he is not concerned about the lives of white people, or white Hispanics.

Rice doesn´t need help. Watch her walk... she´s a toughie. She walks like a cowboy who just got off a horse.

BO wants to continue to be perceived as the Great Defender of Women, you know, all those women who think (and therefore vote) with their "lady parts."

Rice also has the skin color deflector-shield. Or at least, that´s what BO is thinking will work here, too, ...BO and all his fellow cynical, corruptocrats.

If the Rev. Al Sharpton, the bigoted, anti-Semitic, non-tax paying race-hustling poverty pimp, had any credibility left, it just vanished. The beneficiary of a lifetime of passes from our race-conscious mainscream media, Sharpton ran into an outlet not afraid of him -- The Smoking Gun. They obtained material that exposed Sharpton as an FBI "informant." Sharpton, of course, denies that this constitutes "snitching." No, he says he "volunteered" to "cooperate" with the FBI -- and for the most honorable of motives. Why would the government-hating "civil rights" leader cooperate with the feds?

The Republican Party is roiling with internal conflicts, say the analysts. The tea party is confronting the establishment. The noninterventionists are at war (forgive the expression) with the interventionists. The libertarians would like the party to endorse same-sex marriage. Fair enough. These conflicts will play out during the primaries in 2016, and we´ll discover whether they are serious fault lines or merely squabbles. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party, supposedly the firm fortress of the middle class, minorities and women, is actually showing some internal stresses as well. Little fissures are snaking through the crust, perhaps reflecting tectonic movement beneath. The president´s approval rating has

The first open enrollment period under the Affordable Care Act ended this week with roughly 7.5 million people obtaining policies through the new state insurance exchanges, including more than 1.3 million at Covered California. That´s an amazing and welcome result, considering how badly many of the exchanges stumbled when sign-ups began in October. Nevertheless, it´s far too early to judge the success or failure of the healthcare law, given that key tests of the program´s sustainability have yet to be passed. Almost all of the exchanges got off to a wretched start, particularly the federally managed ones that shared a mind-bogglingly

Obamacare hasn´t "won"—but it´s making a pretty impressive run. The headlines about the Affordable Care Act have turned positive lately, and they´re starting to pile up. The most dire predictions from the law´s critics simply haven´t panned out, and now Democrats are headed into another big health care fight—the confirmation of a new Health and Human Services secretary—with stronger real-world evidence than they´ve had before. There´s important information we still don´t have about enrollment, and big risks loom on the horizon. Things could change. But right now, the tide seems to be turning in the White House´s favor. War on women alert: One of the most forceful fighters against misogyny in the modern era is under attack. Somali-born Ayaan Hirsi Ali has been a vocal critic of women´s oppression under Islamic law. She´s blasted arranged marriage, legally sanctioned domestic violence, genital mutilation, and the killing of adulteresses and rape victims. Despite being a supporter of abortion rights, an atheist, and an advocate of gay and women´s rights, she is despised by many who claim to be defenders of women´s rights. Over the years, they have worked to delegitimize her in the hopes that she will be silenced.

It was disappointing the other day to see President Barack Obama embracing the vulgar race hustler Al Sharpton. President Obama once eloquently confronted race in a memorable speech in Philadelphia in 2008. That speech was remarkable and honest and, to borrow a favorite word of the political left that still fawns over him, it was nuanced. But there was nothing particularly remarkable about Obama standing next to the preening Sharpton, speaking in New York to his National Action Network. Except that Obama expertly used a message of victimization to begin energizing black voters, who provide the electoral foundation for the Democratic Party.

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season.
