As sex scandals surface,
Panetta developing ethics
training for generals?

Washington Examiner, by Joel Gehrke

With CIA director David Petraeus and International Security Assistance Forces General John Allen enmeshed in sex scandals, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta is conducting an ethics review of the nation’s top military leaders to promote “a culture of stewardship” among generals. “This week, the Secretary directed General Dempsey to work with the other members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to review how to better foster a culture of stewardship among our most senior military officers,” Pentagon Press Secretary George Little said in a statement. “Their initial findings are due to the Secretary within the next few weeks.

Comments:
Oh puhleeze. Democrats are the best at creating ways to waste time. When in doubt force diversity or training classes. If Petraeus and the rest of them aren´t smart enough to figure out what they did was wrong all the "training" in the world isn´t going to change a darn thing.

Rule #1 ... don´t put anything in writing or in pictures that you would not want plastered all over the front page of the New York Times, the major TV networks and the internet

Ethics training? By who? Eric Holder? Janet Nappy? obama? Panetta? Laughable if it wasn´t so serious and taking away from the real issue...the death, the murder of 4 American´s, the dereliction of duty by someone sitting the oval office and the blatant disregard for the Constitution by those in this administration who swore on a Bible to up hold it, protect it and defend it. So ethics training? Can´t teach it has to be instilled...nobody in DC has it.

Please... the rank and file are pounded with ethics and unprofessional relationships training on a regular basis. You would think the flags would show up every once in a while for the training they mandate.

Panetta and ethics? That´s an oxymoron if there ever was one!

There is not a shred of evidence of ethical behavior anywhere in this administration.

These guys went to the Service Academies. They went to many officer schools in their careers= SOS, Senior school, etc/ Each of these schools addressed ethics along with other subjects. Knowing what the proper ethics are doesn´t keep unethical persons from not doing them. But then this is a typical liberal response to crime and unethical behavior= the culprit must have not known that X was wrong or criminal and if they only knew, they would be good. No, if they decided to do wrong, they don´t need more education-they need better people.

New class on the ethical treatment of the enslaved. Ha!
Followed by the (unexpected) raising of the enslaved, thus ending all his communist/fascist muslim takeover plans.

Perhaps Sandy Berger and Bill Clinton could be convinced to run this program...Panetta has a loooong standing friendship with both men, and they ARE both presently available.

Ethics training only is for the grunts, the big boys have more cover to do what they want. This is such BS in a country that re-elected Bill Clinton.

Churches used to suffice. Under the social gospel of the atheists and secularists who and what will define and determine ethics? If you can lie and commit voter fraud and cover up news for political advantage, the ethics thing is just for this news cycle and then back to business as usual, not unlike obama´s declarations de jour.

Every officer in the US Army who graduated from the USMA at West Point, and most generals did, had instilled into them the West Point honor code "A cadet will not lie, cheat, or steal, or tolerate those who do" along with the tenets of Duty, Honor, Country. No liberal Democrat politically correct ethics sessions are going to teach experienced general and flag officers something that they already don´t know.

If machines really could think I wonder what "Panetta developing ethics training" would do to their circuitry.

In 2007, then Senator Barack Obama appeared on CNN´s Larry King Live and called on U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to resign. Obama said Gonzales was acting more like the president´s attorney than the people´s attorney and viewed himself as an "enabler of the administration." "Well, I voted against Alberto Gonzales confirmation for precisely the reason we are seeing now. I said this on the floor of the senate, that although he seemed to be a capable attorney, he seemed to conceive his role as being the president´s attorney instead of being the people´s attorney," Obama said.

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. The way to prevent abortionists like convicted murderer Kermit Gosnell from occurring again is to build more Planned Parenthood clinics, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said at a House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing on Thursday about legislation that would prevent abortion after 20 weeks nationwide. “I would urge my colleagues to think about the extent to which he, Dr. Gosnell, represented the poor quality of health care services available in poorer communities,” Nadler said at the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice hearing. “We should be working to make sure that high quality

House Speaker John A. Boehner on Thursday flatly ruled out chances of the House passing the Senate’s immigration bill, saying his chamber will debate its own bill instead. The Ohio Republican and his top lieutenants in the party issued a joint statement that seemed designed to tamp down some of the momentum behind the Senate bill, which emerged from a committee on a bipartisan 13-5 vote this week, and to stake out a House GOP position. “While we applaud the progress made by our Senate colleagues, there are numerous ways in which

During friendly questioning from Rep. Hank “I fear that Guam will capsize!” Johnson in Congress last week, Attorney General Eric Holder offered the following statement. In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy. He made that statement before the facts about the sweep on Fox News’ James Rosen were known. Since then, it’s come to light that Holder himself approved the subpoena that, among other things, named Rosen as a criminal co-conspirator.

As the saying goes, scratch a liberal and you’ll find a tyrant underneath. NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo is but the latest example. He shoved a very restrictive and ill-considered gun law through the state legislature in the dead of night. Among its flaws, the law criminalized police officers who tote firearms with magazines that hold more than seven rounds. Sheriffs around the state have objected to the law. Cuomo summoned them to the state capitol under what appears to be a false pretext, and used the meeting to threaten them into silence. Cuomo invited

The National Council of La Raza (translation: The Race) has partnered with the Office of Personnel Management to encourage Hispanic activists and members to burrow into the federal government. A workshop sponsored by La Raza/The Race will take place in New Orleans on July 23, 2013. Senior Executive Service (SES) employees are federal government employees in special executive management positions, often with salaries approaching $200,000 per year (and well past that with benefits). Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. Marimow broke earlier this week. The memo’s a masterpiece, too. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience
