ABC News: Hey, This Doctor
Shortage Could "Crash" Obamacare

Just in case the unaffordable price tag and rising costs don´t quite do the trick, America´s spiraling dearth of doctors will contribute heavily to the collapse of our re-engineered health care system, according to a new study: The United States will require at least 52,000 more family doctors in the year 2025 to keep up with the growing and increasingly older U.S. population, a new study found. The predictions also reflect the passage of the Affordable Care Act -- a change that will expand health insurance coverage to an additional 38 million Americans.

Comments:
Just when I think I have accepted our devasting loss in the election and feel somewhat better I remember 0bamacare and get terrified and depressed all over again. The injustice of allowing it to continue is just outrageous.

Nothing is going to "crash" Obamacare. What will happen is everyone´s access to doctor´s and services will deteriorate into a English / Canadian model where people wait months and even years for the care needed.

We´ll all be told that´s the "price we pay" to make sure everyone is covered.

DOes the Obamacare plan regulate costs at all? I don´t think so. I am already seeing doctors who don´t accept insurance- we pay and then we file claims and get most of the money back but not all. It is the only way we can see some competent specialist. I think more and more doctors will go to this way of doing business.

Oh and my state refused to set up the insurance exchange and refused to increase medicaid.

There was a reason Obama took over the student loans from the banks. A massive government program to provide assistance to students for education in the medical field occupations. The qualifications will be race and income based. Affirmative action gone wild will be the law of the land in every facet of the American society. We already have a dumbed down society. All Obama has to do now is staff it.

Big surprise that the MSM is just now figuring this out. Already starting to cover their as$%^ in anticipation of the destruction Obamacare is about to reap.

Easy solution: Make passing the license test easier. Import Russian, Pakistani, Indian, Arab doctors. Cover up the increasing doctor caused death rate. Everybody learn to understand garbled mispronounced English. Learn to pray and pray you don´t become a premature statistic.

Over 1/2 of new grads are women with less than half the expected years in practice.

#5 is correct. How many doctors are there in China (or Cuba!) that would love to work in the US for peanuts? Plenty!!

".........When the government exacerbates problems, many frustrated observers reflexively call for even more federal intervention to mop up the federally-caused mess. The solution to big government run amok is more government involvement, apparently."

This is the mind of Obama voters, government creates a problem and they want government to fix the problem. Never occurs to them that government is the problem.

You can be sure that when Obama care is fully implemented you will be seeking medical care in Cuba! Enjoy!

Please, please, please. Stop referring to this national travesty as "Obamacare". President Obama is NOT running again. This needs to be referred to as "Democrat Care that is forced upon you without a single Republican vote". This albatross needs to be hung around the Democratic Party and not Obama when it is fully implemented. People will begin to lose their livelihood because of this and need to place their anger at the right people, the Democratic Party. I will continue to post this. Please pass it on, we ALL must start doing this now.

My doc complied with ObieCare last year... I haven´t seen him since. I only see a Nurse Practitioner. They tried to force him to make "house calls" on medicaid patients but his hospital rounds were too heavy.

Nice, eh?

Meanwhile, I keep getting threateniung mail & phone recordings to get my preventative tests done or else ???

This doctor and nurse shortage will be covered in Obamacare and comprehensive immigration reform. They are going to import huge numbers of foreign doctors and nurses, from places like India, Pakistan, and other third world countries, to work here and to insure that in a transformed America that doctors and nurses salaries are seriously reduced.

What the country will end up with is a two tiered medical care delivery system, a public single payer one for the common population, and an elite private one for the rich and famous and anyone else who can pay their own medical bills.

The medical care delivery system in the USA is being wrecked so that the 15% who do not have medical care insurance can get it mostly through huge public subsidies, while the remaining 85% who always have had medical care insurance are going to have to pay the bill for all this.

Keep you eye on the shell. The push for special VISAs has already started along with immigration reform. Expect a flood of foreign doctors and nurses. This area has a ton of Haitian nurses and foreign docs that can´t even comprehen written English. Many of them hate us.
My last phlebotomist was not only pregnant but high. No one working in the lab was white. Welcome to Zippycare.

Defense Department (DOD) officials decided to stop covering a certain form of physical therapy for the disable children of military members, despite an administrative judge’s ruling that the treatment is covered under the law. “For my daughter, this therapy means life, death or some horrible surgery, but she’s not alone — there are 27 other military families who use the center where Kaitlyn goes,” Jennifer Samuels told Military Times. "Let´s face facts: the American media is in an abusive relationship with Obama." So marvelously said Dennis Miller on Fox New´s the O´Reilly Factor in a discussion about the Internal Revenue Service scandal Wednesday (video follows with transcript and absolutely no need for additional commentary): DENNIS MILLER: Nobody in the press is going to bear in on this. Let´s face facts: the American media is in an abusive relationship with Obama. They don´t quite know what to do. If you take the New York Times, you could refer to it as "Fifty Shades of Grey Lady."

The signs keep accumulating that the IRS scandal is worse than liberals are willing to concede. On Bill Press´s radio show yesterday, a reporter with left-leaning Politico told Press that the Internal Revenue Service dragging its feet on applications for tax-exempt status from tea party groups probably affected the outcome of last year´s election. (Video after the jump) Here´s what Politico´s Lauren French told Press (audio) -- PRESS: So, Lauren, you´ve been covering this IRS scandal. How big is it really? How serious is it really, do you think? FRENCH:

On Wednesday, CNN anchor Jake Tapper dug into the controversial way in which members of President Barack Obama’s administration have apparently tried to intimidate whistleblowers in the government and the journalists that would investigate their stories. Tapper said that some, including the New York Times editorial board, have described the administration’s actions as “threatening fundamental freedoms of the press.” He warned Obama’s supporters to remember the precedent his administration is setting when a Republican next occupies the Oval Office. Tapper noted that the scandal surrounding the subpoenaing of Fox News reporter James Rosen’s personal telephone and email

Even though 132 members of Congress sent former Internal Revenue Service Commissioner Douglas Shulman letters about the IRS targeting of conservative groups, Shulman reiterated Wednesday that he did not have the full story until the inspector general’s report came out. “In the two years that this targeting was taking place, did any member of Congress contact you? Write you? About this particular subject? Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan asked during a House Oversight hearing. “Did you get letters from Congress?”

The chief judge of the District’s federal court issued an unusual order Wednesday, apologizing to the public and the media for not making certain court documents widely available online. The gesture of transparency by U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth comes at a time when the Obama administration is under scrutiny for an unprecedented number of leak investigations, including one showing that the Justice Department had secretly probed the news-gathering activities of Fox News reporter James Rosen. The investigation of Rosen was first reported Monday, after The Washington

In some other universe this would be shocking. In this universe it’s par for the course, and I don’t mean the golf course, but the guy who makes the golf course his second home. The US Attorney for the District of Columbia, Ronald C. Machen – the man responsible for the aggressive surveillance and phone record scrutiny at Fox News – is also a big donor to the Obama Campaigns. At the time of his appointment, the Washington Post wrote a profile on Machen including this tidbit: Over the years, he has donated $4,350 to Obama’s campaigns.

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
