Obama´s Smug America
American Spectator, by George Neumayr

By every objective measure, America is in decline. But liberals insist that it is moving "forward." The modern philosophy of progress is Darwinian, holding that the latest development, whether of a country or a species, is always the best one. Mutations are assumed to be perfective, not destructive. Obama is the one "we have been waiting for," chanted his followers in 2008. They identified him as the agent of the final phase in liberalism´s revolution. In 2012, Obama drew upon this revolutionary hope again, coining "forward" as his campaign slogan. The rhetoric was slightly more subdued --

Darwinianism also admits the possibility of extinction.

FEMA´s in charge of Darwinism in NY and NJ right now.

Christie fawned all over Obama, helping him win the election, ostensibly to secure federal funds. Guess what those funds aren´t coming so there´s going to have to be a tax increase. The media and left will rejoice over raising taxes and say all republican governors should be like Christie.

Obama and the Obamunists are smug because they´re not too terribly interested in reality. After all, the world owes them a livin´. And like the fabled grasshopper, not the industrious ant, they´re going to continue fiddling until winter comes and freezes them to death. Winter´s almost here.

Heres the nasty little truth about evolution.

The VAST majority of mutastions are either inconsequential, or fatal. "perfection" is only reached after a lot af "imperfection" dies out.

And the other little truth, there is no perfection, evolution whether Natural or societal is a response to change. Those who cannot adapt die out.Mammoths couldn´t adapt to a warming world (Neandertals either). Communist countries could not adapt to the information revolution. Most freed colonies could not adapt to self rule. The list is endless.

Republicans better learn to adapt to the changing AMerican landscape as well.

Evolution is inevitable, no one is exempt.

It´s too bad that the ones who should be dying off: the moochers, etc are the ones who are winning.

on Drudge today it showed a picture of the Chinese leader with the caption ´top commie´ . There was a picture of obama close by. The captions should have been the same. Frank M. Davis would be so proud to watch scores of ´educated´ vote for communism couched as ´fairness´. Fair in communist ussr in the 60´s meant everyone but the ´leaders´ had nothing but cold and starvation and no hope. We are moving ´forward´ rapidly to that conclusion. Only a true hatred filled unAmerican like obama could reilsh that conclusion for what has been the greatest democracy on earth. those who relish destruction will reap the same whether they have the sense to see it or not.

#3, the ´grasshopper and the aunt´ analogy is quite good.
However, I don´t think these particular ants will be so willing to rescue these particular grasshoppers.

And speaking of brilliant analogies, I love the caption to today´s photo, the "Trylon and Perisphere".
Had to look it up because I just knew it would be something brilliant, and it was.
They were two structures created for the 1939 New York Worlds Fair.

if leftists think evolution is so great, why aren´t they in favor of man made climate change? by their reckoning, it would be a perfect example of Darwinism. but, why ask why about anything any one of them thinks? They don´t think.

White House, Cabinet Room

OBAMA: You folks represent the first entirely recessed Cabinet in American history. Do me proud. Let´s go round the table. HHS?
MICHAEL MOORE: Amend ObamaCare to include lesser beings, sir.
OBAMA: No. First, the remaining mammalians; then, things with legs; finally, air breathers. Treasury?
PAUL KRUGMAN: Stimulus IV should tip the worldwide economy into depression within a year, sir.
OBAMA: Good. That gets us closer to a one-world government. OMB?
BERNIE MADOFF: [videoconferencing from prison] Economies are annoyingly resilient, sir.
OBAMA: Agreed. Allred, have DOJ lawyers discover justification for footing a European bailout. We’ll overwhelm their systems with worthless dollars. CIA?
MATT DAMON: al-Zawaheri´s on board, sir. We´ll get non-specific advance notice of an atrocity if we grant him U. S. citizenship and a drone exemption.
OBAMA: Go for it. NSA, how’d it work out with Chavez?
SEAN PENN: He’s adopted me, sir.
OBAMA: Congratulations, Chico. Transportation?
AL GORE: Phase out private ownership of vehicles by the end of your third term, sir. At that point, traveling by high-speed rail—-whether or not it exists-—becomes compulsory.
OBAMA: Tap the Amish for additional public transport ideas. Defense?
ADAM BALDWIN: Devote half the budget to weapons procurement, sir.
OBAMA: Alec, this doesn’t sound like you. We can’t . . . wha? Oh Good Lord, I picked the wrong Baldwin! Oh, well. State?
YOKO ONO: Divvy up our nukes to the world, sir. We can only negotiate when everyone starts from a position of strength.
OBAMA: Make it so, Sudoko. Homeland Security?
SHEILA JACKSON LEE: [interrupting cell phone conversation] What?

Reprise

Wicked, #9. But Sheila Jackson-Lee´s talents are wasted if not heading up a newly combined NASA/Dept of Education.

And what of FEMA and the sports industry? Those must be combined and elevated to Cabinet status - headed by either Ron Artest or Malik Zulu Shabazz.

Somehow, a new department should be created for Jay-Z. Ministry of Level Playing Fields and Equal Outcomes perhaps. Or maybe Boundaries of Good Taste Dept.

The campaign theme, "Forward" can be found in the communist manifesto, Uncle Alinsky used to brainwash his followers. Our IMPOSTER in the Oval Office was born in Kenya to a Muslim/Communist father and a Communist mother. Barack Hussein Mohammad Soetoro Obama will use his second term to continue his quest toward turning the USA into a Communist satellite/third world country. When he finishes his secone term, We, The People can then file charges against him and Pelosi for their collusion, as she knew when she approved his fake Hawaiian birth certificate it has been ´manufactured´. They both deserve looooong term jail time to answer for their crime of pulling the largest scam against the USA and for degrading the office of president. We did NOT get the Change we were promised, all we got was an ingnorant black, Kenyan who HATES EVERYTHING America, and intends on destroying OUR GREAT nation as we know it, NOT what he thinks it should be. Impeachment would be too good for this FAUX president and his entire corrupt administration, and his czars.

Hastert Rule for Immigration Reform

WASHINGTON – Sen. Bob Menendez expressed displeasure Tuesday over House Speaker John Boehner’s decision to withhold consideration of any immigration reform measure that doesn’t have the support of the majority of the Republican caucus. Menendez (D-N.J.), a member of the Gang of Eight, a bipartisan group of upper-chamber lawmakers who have pieced together a delicate immigration compromise, questioned Boehner’s seriousness about addressing the issue “if he is willing to put tea party politics ahead of the will of the American people.” “It is amazing and alarming that Speaker Boehner would allow a minority of House members –

The Congressional Budget Office released its analysis of the Gang of Eight’s immigration proposal today, and spinning is in full swing. The fact is, however, that the basic facts can’t be spun: the bill is a disaster. As with Obamacare, the Gang structured its bill to make it “score” artificially well from a budget perspective. They did this by delaying the newly legalized immigrants’ eligibility for most federal welfare benefits for ten years, which takes those benefits outside of the ten-year window that is scored by the CBO. But that cosmetic shift did little to conceal the plan’s baleful effects.

Another Republican Super PAC is jumping into the increasingly nasty Massachusetts Senate battle, going after Democrat Ed Markey’s biggest weakness — his $1.3 million Maryland home. The America Rising PAC, recently founded by Mitt Romney’s former presidential campaign manager, is planning to deliver a letter today to Maryland’s comptroller urging the state to investigate why Markey has never paid state income taxes there despite living in the upscale Chevy Chase suburb for two decades, the Herald has learned. Markey’s residency status has been dogging him throughout his career, ever since the Herald reported in the early 1990s

Are you ready for the great Sarah Palin Revival of 2013? The former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice-presidential candidate is back from her exile at Fox News and, like the former child star played by Bette Davis in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, the self-described Mama Grizzly is ready for a big comeback. But to be blunt, she seems more like a relic of a bygone, little-missed era in showbiz-cum-politics. Indeed, she no more represents a viable future for the GOP than her 76-year-old “angry bird” running mate, John McCain. To give her full credit,

India´s state-owned telecom company, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, has been holding out as other countries around the world retire their antiquated telegraph services. Now, after delaying the move for two years, the business operating what is considered to be the world´s last telegraph service is finally ready to pull the plug, saying telegrams are no longer commercially viable in the age of digital communications. The vice president of the union even made threats against the wife and kids of one of the workers. That worker felt it necessary to call the police and pursue other security measures to protect his family, a source told The Daily Caller News Foundation. A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

This is the thirtieth anniversary of the publication of How Democracies Perish, an analysis of the spread of world communism by Jean-François Revel, one of freedom´s most serious French defenders since Tocqueville. At the heart of this work, Revel details "The Tools of Communist Expansion," among which the most relevant for understanding our current situation comes in Chapter 16, "Ideological Warfare and Disinformation." The profound simplicity of Revel´s nuts and bolts account of totalitarianism´s Cold War advance, far from being obsolete
