Barack Obama´s Persuasion Army

Two days after the election, a friend told me that because he has an Asian surname, he was inundated for months with emails from liberal Asian groups urging him to vote for Barack Obama. I asked what reason the emails gave for Asians to support Mr. Obama. Their main message: Barack Obama is "better for minorities." It is always useful for Republicans to revisit their "message model" to single white women and the various Americans designated as minorities. Should the GOP kowtow to the Buffett Tax and conform to Roe v. Wade?

A must read. A clear, fresh, bummer explanation of why the Repubs got taken to the cleaners.

There´s never been anybody that can lie with a straight face like Obama, not even Bill Clinton. The reason, obviously is he owns the media. Nobody cares about what right wing media says, even if they produce hardcore evidence to the contrary of Obama´s lies. It´s all cackling by sore losers who hate a black man being president.

Now that Romney is speaking out about the election,he´ll be branded a sore loser despite the fact that Obama has more people on the dole than in history which obviously led to votes.

Any responsible president would scour the budget looking for waste. But when Romney said it,it meant he was going to target programs for the poor. Medicaid, food stamps and earned income are all ripe with abuse and fraud but you can´t touch any of that.Poor people actually get meager benefits from these programs,it´s middle men liberals who actually clean up.

The "minorities" have been sold a bill of goods by this narcissistic charlatan. The only one he cares about is himself.

The question that is asked over and over by GOP now is what should they do to attract voters. How about just do your jobs when elected under GOP banner. The GOP has a different platform of ideas than Dems do, but often the GOP elected officials forget that and voters get turned off, like most are now.
If the GOP do not function as GOP then forget attracting any voters.

Can we send Obama´s mind control goons to Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Egypt to help us defeat Islamism?

$3B Sunken Treasure?
Questions Over Whether Hunt

Are platinum ingots worth $3 billion sitting on the ocean floor, 50 miles northeast of Cape Cod? The United Kingdom--owners of a torpedoed WWII freighter said to have been carrying that cargo (plus jewels, gold and silver)--would like to know. So, too, would a group of U.S. investors who have sunk $8 million so far into the salvage effort, without having much to show for it. The Maine Office of Securities this week announced it will be seeking information from Maine residents who invested in—or were approached about investing in—Sea Hunters, L.P., and two other companies associated with Greg Brooks, the treasure

What Happened to the Tea Party?

It has been five years since the Tea Party movement broke out as a national phenomenon. It began, of course, with Rick Santelli’s “rant heard ’round the world” in February of 2009, which brought widespread attention to the idea of a modern revival of the revolutionary anti-tax fervor behind the Boston Tea Party. But the early rallies were small and largely attracted the same old die-hard right-wing activists, rather than drawing in new people. I didn’t know whether the Tea Party would become a real phenomenon until April 15, 2009—Tax Day being a perfect time to protest big government—when there were hundreds

Let´s get one thing clear: If someone could wave a wand and make Jeb Bush president it would be a very good thing for the world and this country. As his mother said, he is the best-prepared person. But as his mother also said, he shouldn’t be running. And the reasons are becoming more clear by the day. Problem one is that much like Mitt Romney, he is one political generation too old. Both last held office in 2006, and seem to have stayed there. Problem two is the anguished ambivalence, reminiscent of Mario Cuomo and Adlai E. Stevenson, which does not bode

Conakry, Guinea -- It´s hard not to be nervous, standing outside the Ebola isolation wards. The wards are a cluster of unassuming white tents in the middle of a large field, not far from the center of the city. Each is just big enough to hold around 10 cots. Two layers of zippers keep the outside from getting in, and more importantly here -- the opposite. Nobody goes inside the tent without spending 15 minutes putting on isolation gear. The nurse handing over my garb calls it my "space suit." I can´t help but think that going into an Ebola

Tallahassee, Fla. — Early on the morning of Dec. 7, 2012, a freshman at Florida State University reported that she had been raped by a stranger somewhere off campus after a night of drinking at a popular Tallahassee bar called Potbelly’s. As she gave her account to the police, several bruises began to appear, indicating recent trauma. Tests would later find semen on her underwear. For nearly a year, the events of that evening remained a well-kept secret until the woman’s allegations burst into the open, roiling the university and threatening a prized asset: Jameis Winston, one of the marquee names of

How Safe Are U.S. Ferries?

Almost 300 people are missing off the coast of South Korea after a ferry there, carrying mostly schoolchildren, capsized and sank. About 164 people have been pulled from the wreckage, and the race to find survivors is well underway. No one ever expects a disaster, but this one has especially stunned people. Passengers say they heard a loud thud, which suggests the vessel collided with something, but it´s too early to tell. "This particular ferry was built in Japan, who make some of the best ships in the world. It wasn´t anywhere near full and it was travelling a well-worn

WASHINGTON — It was a simple question to someone accustomed to much tougher ones: What was her proudest achievement as secretary of state? But for a moment, Hillary Rodham Clinton, appearing recently before a friendly audience at a women’s forum in Manhattan, seemed flustered. Mrs. Clinton played an energetic role in virtually every foreign policy issue of President Obama’s first term, advocating generally hawkish views internally while using her celebrity to try to restore America’s global standing after the hit it took during the George W. Bush administration. But her halting answer suggests a problem that Mrs. Clinton could confront as she

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it
