| Dover, Fla. - The F.B.I. agent who helped start the investigation that led to the resignation of David H. Petraeus as C.I.A. director is a “hard-charging” veteran counterterrorism investigator who used his command of French in investigating the foiled “millennium” terrorist plot in 1999, colleagues said on Wednesday. The agent, Frederick W. Humphries II, 47, took the initial complaint from Jill Kelley, the Tampa, Fla., hostess who was socially active in military circles there, about e-mails she found disturbing that accused her of inappropriately flirtatious behavior toward Mr. Petraeus.

Comments: *W/ Michael S. Schmidt reported from Dover, Scott Shane from Washington, and Alain Delaquérière from New York. Eric Schmitt contributed reporting from Washington.
So much info, but still no 0bama birth certificate or college transcripts [at any price].

This is far more interesting than some of the other "reporting" we´ve seen today.
Explains his family´s relationship with the Kelleys (which goes way back).
Explains the shirtless photo sent years ago as a family prank (and what a ridiculous news picup that was!).
Explains how he became frustrated when he thought the investigation was going nowhere, so got to Eric Cantor through an intermediary.
Obie confirmed in his presser today things that had been speculated since 9/11. Susan Rice was doing a presentation when she appeared on the Sunday shows. She knew nothing about Benghazi, was just relaying intel she had been given (by whom?). "Don´t go after her, go after me!"
As Charles Krauthammer just said, he will regret some of the things he volunteered today when he panicked.

Why was the UN ambassador sent to Sunday talk shows in the first place? It is the Secretary of State who oversees embassies and consulate personnel. Very strange selection by Zero.

If only we had more Agent Humphries. Had he not gone to Canter we still might not know about Petraeus. Agent Humphries may have a good case of retaliation under the Whistleblowers act. How did the FBI respond? By leaking a story about a photo, leaving the impression that it was recently sent and was sexual in nature. That´s it. Kill the messenger. His career is over. Another guy unemployed thanks to Obama.

NYT´s fluff piece, to claim they are investigating the sex scandal, NOT Benghazi.
In what kind of "social relationships of families" do people send shirtless photos of themselves? This is just bizarre!
Anthony Weiner was also in a social relationship with people on social pages, was´t he?

The "shirtless" photo of him was taken posing between two shooting range targets. Apparently the families exchanged goofy photos once in a while.
Some are following the media´s kneejerk reaction to this information and have jumped to its being some kind of thing going on with Jill Kelley. How gullible we are, how eager we are to believe the worst at even a hint from the media. I thought we were smarter than that around here?

That press conference was beyond creepy. The fawning press, especially the woman who seemed to want to get really close to the Prez.. and then the spirited defense of Susan Ric.
What was up with that? I´ve never seen him so passionate and roused out of his usual sleepy lethargy. And calling out two senators by name.
I wish I thought he would regret it, but he won´t. He will never be held accountable.

he sure wont be held accountable... just look at the contradiction here... tells Susan Rice to go out and push the video lie...but tells Romney in a debate that he used the word Terrorist while giving a talk from the Rose Garden regarding the Benghazie attack.. He is using two different explanations..and getting away with it.....

The media´s embrace of the "shirtless photo", with a purposely absent timeline reminds me of the trashing of the women from Clinton´s past.
If you go up against the libs, the press will punish you by maligning you and lying about you. Thanks to the "moron majority" that surround us, this works pretty well to erase the facts that were brought forward at great cost.

Re #8, here´s that now-infamous shirtless pic. He sent it to several friends, including one who is a Seattle Times reporter:
This photograph shows FBI Special Agent Frederick W. Humphries posing with target dummies following a SWAT practice. This is the "shirtless image" that has been alluded to in the investigation into emails that led to the resignation of CIA Director David Petraeus. Humphries sent the 2010 photograph to many people, including Tampa socialite Jill Kelley and a reporter at The Seattle Times.

Agree, #4. Note how 0bama phrases his answers. He said that Susan Rice was sent by "the White House" to do the press conferences, yet she "had nothing to do with Benghazi" (again, 0bama´s words). Who in "the White House" sent her?

Washington - A key committee in the Republican-led House has taken up a tough enforcement-focused immigration bill, but the proceedings were immediately interrupted by protesters shouting "Shame, shame!" More than a dozen protesters began chanting as soon as Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte of Virginia gaveled the committee hearing open Tuesday. Goodlatte stopped the proceedings until the protesters were ushered into the hall, where their shouts could still be heard. Goodlatte said the bill under consideration, which empowers local law enforcement to enforce federal immigration

It’s been two years since NASA’s space shuttle program came to an end, but thousands of Americans still dream of becoming astronauts. Eight of them – four men and four women – were introduced Monday as NASA’s astronaut candidate class for 2013. (Snip) The bios of the eight people selected will probably make you feel like a bit of a slacker. Two of them have PhDs and one is a physician training in sports medicine. Four have experience as test pilots for the Navy or Air Force. One person is working at the Pentagon on ways to defeat the homemade bombs that have plagued troops in Iraq and

Washington - After Republicans lost the presidential election and seats in both the House and the Senate last year, many in the party offered a stern admonishment: If we want to broaden our appeal, steer clear of divisive social and cultural issues. Yet after the high-profile murder trial of an abortion doctor in Philadelphia this spring, many Republicans in Washington and in state capitals across the country seem eager to reopen the emotional fight over a woman’s right to end a pregnancy. (Snip) The bill stands no chance of becoming law, with Democrats in control of the Senate and the White House.

Tehran - President-elect Hassan Rowhani of Iran, speaking Monday for the first time since his election victory, said he wanted to reduce tensions with the United States but ruled out direct talks between the two estranged nations. In his first news conference after winning Friday’s presidential election promising more freedoms and better relations with the outside world, Mr. Rowhani called the issue of nonexistent relations between Iran and the United States “an old wound, which must be healed.” Iran, he said, wants to reduce tensions between the two countries, which have no diplomatic relations and are

Washington - Pharmaceutical companies that pay rivals to keep less-expensive generic versions of best-selling drugs off the market can expect greater federal scrutiny after a Supreme Court ruling on Monday. In a 5-to-3 vote, the justices effectively said that the Federal Trade Commission can sue pharmaceutical companies for potential antitrust violations, a decision that is likely to increase the number of generic drugs in the marketplace and benefit consumers. Specifically, the justices threw out lower-court rulings that said the agreements were legal, provided that a deal did not keep a generic

President Barack Obama and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, put their escalating differences over Syria on display even as they agreed to urge both sides in the civil war there to the negotiating table. (Snip) “We do have differing perspectives,” Obama said, while adding that “we share an interest in reducing the violence.” Some Western leaders publicly rebuked Putin for his support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad as the Group of Eight summit of industrial nations began. A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Likening religious schools to segregation--a racist system that forced blacks to attend different schools and use different facilities than whites in the American South--President Barack Obama told a town hall meeting for youth in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Monday that there should not be Catholic and Protestant schools because such schools cause division. "Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity--symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others--these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it,"

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Celebrity chef Paula Deen admitted in a recorded deposition to telling racist jokes, using the N-word, and planning a slavery-themed wedding, according to multiple reports. The May 17 deposition where she made the alleged admissions is part of a $1.2 million lawsuit brought by Lisa Jackson, the former manager of a Savannah, Georgia, restaurant run by Deen and her brother Bubba Hiers. Jackson alleges in the suit that Deen used the N-word at the restaurant and that Hiers sexually harassed her. According to the reports, in the deposition, Deen replied “Yes, of course,”

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
