Obama: Attacks on Susan
Rice ‘outrageous’

Politico, by Jennifer Epstein

President Barack Obama offered a fiery defense Wednesday of his administration’s handling of the attack on Americans in Benghazi, calling R epublicans’ critiques of United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice “outrageous.” Obama specifically rebutted Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who earlier Wednesday called for a “Watergate-style” investigation into the attacks and said they don’t trust Rice, seen as a top contender to succeed Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, because of her statements on Benghazi.

I am sure obama thinks she is more than qualified. In his eyes the ability to lie is considered an asset.

Mr. President, It´s not because she´s an "easy target," that goes with the job, it´s because as a "useful idiot" she lied.

There is nothing any GOP senators can do. Reid controls the senate and I`ll bet he won`t call any hearings.

And she´s only up to her eyeballs in the Benghazi debacle. Obama´s in over his head.

Obama and Crowley told us that he called it terrorism two days after the attack and Rice (and Obama) later blamed the video.

And the press failed to show up at the "Obama Press conference" today, however, his buddies and a cheerleader were in attendance.

What is outrageous is the fact that 4 people died in Benghazi, while Nerobama fiddled. How can our military serve under such an asshat?

Reply 14 - Posted by: LadyVet, 11/14/2012 4:43:23 PM     (No. 9014595)

This is exactly why the UN Ambassador was sent out to propagate this lie. So that any attacks on what she said could be deflected by the President with a "she´s such a nice person!" defense. Did he call anybody a racist? That was a built-in consideration also. "You´re just a raysiss! And you Republican Neanderthals just can stand a strong woman."

His strategy worked: no one in the press seriously questioned Rice before the election.

Reply 15 - Posted by: Spidey, 11/14/2012 4:44:20 PM     (No. 9014597)

Liberal media out circling the wagons for Rice already. Bet Obama yanks her nomination. Graham is dead serious about blocking her.

And Obama adds to his support among women.

Clearly invoking his poll-tested "war on women" theme in his defense of Rice ...

"But when they go after the U.N. ambassador, apparently because they think she’s an easy target, then they’ve got a problem with me.”

Anything to discredit critics, throw a lapdog media off the trail, and paint any critics of his administration as racist misogynists to avoid disclosing what truly happened in Benghazi. Shameless, disgusting, and infuriating.

Reid has already said he would lower the filibuster vote rule to probably 51 instead of 60. And I believe he will also end the long standing practice of any senator putting a hold on any nomination.
Reid and president zero are going all in. And a despicable nominee like susan rice will sail through the senate confirmation process in one day.
That be my prediction.

A major tea party group is planning protests at Internal Revenue Services nationwide Tuesday following revelations earlier this month that the tax agency had flagged organizations with the words "tea party" or "patriot" for additional scrutiny. The protests were originally scheduled only for Cincinnati, where the IRS has said employees responsible for the targeting were based. But Tea Party Patriots head Jenny Beth Martin tells Whispers she received requests to protest across the country. A call to action on the group´s web site tells supporters that "the IRS is out of control" and so

President Obama will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping in California on June 7-8, the White House announced Monday. It will be Mr. Obama’s first meeting with Mr. Xi since he became president of China in March. They previously met in Washington in 2011 when Mr. Xi was vice president. The talks come amid heightened U.S. tensions over cyberattacks reportedly originating in China. But the Obama administration said it has been pleased with Beijing’s cooperation in trying to persuade North Korea to reduce its belligerent military actions this spring.

The Indiana attorney general’s office confirmed Monday it is investigating a security breach in which Social Security numbers and other personal information were posted online for roughly 44,000 low-income Americans who applied for a federal program that provides discount Internet and phone service. The program was nicknamed the “Obamaphone” during the 2012 election, though it actually started long before President Obama took office. Indiana reportedly has the highest number of applicants, roughly 17,400, who were signed up by TerraCom Inc. and the affiliated YourTel America Inc. Applicants from at least 26 states were exposed to the security breach,

WASHINGTON- Apple Inc. has used an elaborate web of offshore subsidiaries to avoid paying billions of dollars in U.S. taxes on $44 billion in foreign income over the past four years, a Senate investigation has found. Many of the tactics, such as cost-sharing arrangements, are common among large multinational corporations seeking to shift profits to countries with lower tax rates. The investigation did not find Apple violated any laws. But three of its subsidiaries in Ireland claim to have no responsibility to pay income taxes to any country, according to a 40-page, bipartisan report released Monday

Monday afternoon, ABC News released a chilling report that details what journalists have faced while trying to get some answers from the Cincinnati IRS office, which is where a majority of the Tea Party targeting took place. According to ABC, an "armed uniform police officer with the Federal Protective Service" "escorted" reporters through the public building. ABC says if the intent wasn´t to "scare off" employees who might talk, "it was the effect." ABC News is also hearing conflicting reports from Cincinnati IRS employees and the IRS Headquarters in Washington.

CINCINNATI- Few workers know the IRS Cincinnati office better than Bonnie Esrig, who worked there for 24 years. She retired from her job as a senior manager in January. Esrig said she did not recall any discussion of politics in the office. "Politics and religion were things people generally didn´t talk about at work," she said. Esrig did not work on political cases and was not connected to the applications at the center of the controversy. But she worked in the same office where fewer than 200 people were dealing with 73,000 applications for exemptions last year.

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement
