How Jill Kelley and her ´Kardashian´

The Florida socialite who sparked the FBI´s discovery of the affair between CIA chief General David Petraeus and his biographer Paula Broadwell scooped an invite to his daughter´s high security wedding last month. Jill Kelley - whose own alleged relationship with General John Allen has led to his nomination to lead American troops in Europe being put on hold - was invited to the wedding of Anne Petraeus and Matt Mauney, alongside her twin sister Natalie Khawam, MailOnline can reveal. Pictures taken at the nuptials clearly show Kelley, 37,

I can´t remember the last time any federal scandal won this much attention from the lamestream media. Oh, that´s right, "Betray-us" was originally appointed by a Republican administration, and coverage of sex scandal allows press to ignore serious festering issues.

I don´t understand why Jill Kelley, her husband, her family and her sister, have anything to do with this. They had a relationship with the Petraeus family. This was personal and there doesn´t seem to have been anything untoward about it.

I usually enjoy the Mail´s dish, but it is going over the top on this and I am rather sick of it.

Somebody needs to be kicked in the nuptials...

#2 I agree with you, but suddenly I realize these twins are probably Muslim/Islamic (Khawam) whatever and they are very close to the honchos at CentCom where many of the command personnel are stationed prior to and after returning from...get ready: Afghanistan! That is the connection.

Let me just tell you from personal experience there is no such thing as a "civilian social liaison" with any military organization. Something is very strange with these twins!

Reply 5 - Posted by: Gagolfer, 11/14/2012 3:18:19 PM     (No. 9014400)

All of Centcom seemed to be fascinated with the Kelley girls. Jill was made an "honorary consul" whatever that means. I don´t think we know yet everything she was providing the generals and head honchos with. This can´t be all for throwing a few parties.

Reply 6 - Posted by: SoCalGal, 11/14/2012 3:32:10 PM     (No. 9014427)

I don´t know why we are going off on the twins. The Lebanese I know are all Christians. And they are not big on the Muslims. Palestinian refugees there are outcasts, highly restricted as to employment, cannot own property, etc.

Jill was given a certificate from the CENTCOM coalition, naming her an "honorary ambassador", in respect to the service she performed for the military base as a whole.

Our snark is misplaced. Obie is the villain here. Petraeus and Broadwell the adulterers.
The reports on Jill´s emails with Allen are mixed.

Does no one notice how quick everyone is to jump on our military officers? And to decide that those same seasoned officers were the innocent parties in any inappropriate liaisons?

Reply 7 - Posted by: shamrock, 11/14/2012 4:00:33 PM     (No. 9014485)

Since we are dishing here, why are military wives so frumpy? Allen´s wife looks like Petraeus´s wife.

#4 yes. She is loving the press attention - that is very clear. A State Department employee under Bush said that that ridiculous license plate and the "title" are candy given out to social climbers like the Kelleys. They give GREAT parties for these Generals. Jill on the 9-11 call was hilarious. Obviously, her "friendships" at MacDill with Generals who should have seen her coming a mile away gave her the impression she is a real ambassador or something. Whole thing is embarrassing! The fine Lebanese Christians I know of (like Brigitte Gabriel) are NOTHING like these two idiots.

Reply 9 - Posted by: LadyVet, 11/14/2012 4:38:40 PM     (No. 9014586)

Gee, women are not bad people just because they are good looking, have beautiful smiles, and wear nice clothes. It has been reported elsewhere that the sisters are from a Lebanese Christian family. Of course, this is probably part of the reason they are being savaged by the media, which is full of anti-Christian bigots.

#7, maybe the military wives recently in the news are "frumpy" because they are in their 60´s and have a spent a lifetime exhausted from moving their entire households 38 or 40 times, stressed out sending their husbands off to war zones, going to bed many a nights not knowing if he is dead or alive. Stress is not kind to a body. She has not been off at the gym or running 10 miles a day because she was busy working at a job, taking care of kids by herself, and volunteering at the base. It´s not like her husband has gotten a million stock options and huge bonuses every couple of years so that she can afford designer clothes, expensive spas, hair coloring, stylists, liposuction, breast augmentation, tummy tucks, etc. She has probably given up spending on herself in order to educate her kids (and her husband, too, since they have Master´s and PhD´s). Does this help you understand?

Why are looks so important to some people?
An old saying goes, "a little powder, a little paint, makes a woman what she ain´t".
You can put lipstick on a pig and it is still a pig. People should look on the heart.

#9, point well taken, but a little updating is easy enough. I have two Marines in my family, with young children who have moved 7 times in 12 years. I know the stress, but just saying, she was relatively stable until her hubby went a´huntin´. It is all a sad situation and I feel very sorry for her.

Nancy Pelosi has been the bell of the dem-ball for years. Always very attractive and smart looking with just enough curves to make the boys smile. But she is getting long in the tooth and this Jill Kelley gal is just what the doctor ordered to keep the boys watching. Her colorful outfits are quite fitting and very lovely. And, like blood, curves sell and holds the crowd.

Broadwell is the real problem-there is enough out there with her holding classified docs.
I think this is going to bleed over into Benghazi...
Kelly&sis are irrelevant. other than blowing the whistle...

The measure, which was also called for by the 9/11 Commission in the wake of the 2001 terrorist attacks, would establish a biometric exit-entry system. The immigration reform bill drawn up by the Senate Gang of 8 would boost the economy and lower the deficit, the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office says in a report out today. The newly released, and highly anticipated, report from the government’s nonpartisan bookkeeper comes as the Senate debates the bipartisan immigration legislation offered by the Gang of 8 and the House moves forward on a more piecemeal approach. The report, “The Economic Impact of S. 744, the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act,” says overall the legislation

NEW YORK — The New York Police Department´s widespread spying programs directed at Muslims have undermined free worship by innocent people and should be declared unconstitutional, religious leaders and civil rights advocates said Tuesday after the filing of a federal lawsuit. "Our mosque should be an open, religious and spiritual sanctuary, but NYPD spying has turned it into a place of suspicion and censorship," Hamid Hassan Raza, an imam named as a plaintiff, told a rally outside police headquarters shortly after the suit was filed in federal court in Brooklyn.

Mixed-race people are more likely to be considered black by conservatives, who are subconsciously attempting to “justify racial divisions,” said the authors of a new government-funded study. The report, originally released earlier this month, has begun attracting criticism from those who see political bias in the results. The study was conducted by graduate students and faculty in the psychology department of New York University. Researchers asked participants to look at pictures of mixed-race people and say whether they

The Clintons are getting the old band back together again for one last geriatric tour. Hillary 2016. Because 22 years of Clintons dominating the Beltway isn’t enough. Her campaign slogan: “Vote for me. I am a woman. What difference does it make?” The Draft Hillary movement is really taking off. There hasn’t been this much excitement behind a Draft Hillary movement since, well, the last time there was a Draft Hillary movement. Remember that? Back in 2008? When she was the “inevitable nominee?” She was the “most electable” Democrat running? She was the only one who

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Five months into his second term, allies and enemies are as confounded as ever about who President Obama really is. Is he the dyed-in-the-wool liberal that his biggest supporters and critics suggest? Or is he a pragmatic, even cynical, politician who cares more for his popularity than taking risks for his ideological goals or living up to his rhetoric? Even in the short period since his reelection, Obama has provided evidence to support conflicting interpretations. His efforts to pass immigration reform, the unsuccessful push for stricter gun controls and tax hikes on high earners buttress the case for Obama-as-ideologue.

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
