prominent former NBC News exec says

Matt Lauer is so yesterday.TV industry insiders say no amount of NBC executive reshuffling can save the embattled “Today” show — until its longtime co-host throws in the towel.Lauer has been blamed for the show’s ratings woes, which intensified in June when co-host Ann Curry was suddenly ditched and replaced by Savannah Guthrie.“This problem is not going to go away until Matt Lauer does,” a prominent former NBC News exec told the Daily News on Tuesday. “He’s great, but fairly or unfairly, his brand is damaged.”

This can´t be a reason, since Whoopie´s brand was damaged long ago and that toad is still leading the band.

The problem isn´t Matt Lauer,Ann Curry, Savannah Guthrie, Williard Scott or any regular. It´s that Today is produced by NBC News and there isn´t anyone in America who doesn´t know that, of all the network news organizations, NBC has the least journalistic integrity. Why wants to start their morning off listening to propaganda?

A teary eyed Ann Curry did him in. He´s an egomaniac anyway. Not worth nearly as much as he thinks he is and the ratings prove it. However, this is NBC, they do what they want no matter what their viewers want. Didn´t I read they got a lot of money from the government recently? I think so.

Maybe if he started drinking martinis during the show, more people would tune in to see The Loopy Lauer Hour. My dentist had the today show on at 10 am yesterday, and the hostesses were chugging red wine from enormous glasses. Next thing I know they were chugging white wine. The message being, you have to get drunk to get through this stupid production. Go for it Matt.

There are certain people who make my skin crawl.
Whoopi Goldberg, Will Ferrell, Katie Couric, president zero, john kerry, nancy pelosi, and ...Matt Lauer.
The list is longer, but the people listed are sufficient to make my point.
Am I alone in this?

Let´s have this exec opine on Brian Williams´ "brand". Williams is supposedly a respected news,an, yet he has yet to mention Benghazi, he bowed!! to Obama, he regularly goes on NBC sitcoms. His "news" division is shared by Al Sharpton, Ed Schultz, Melissa Perry, all leftists, and a coupled those names are also racists.

The last time the Today show had a decent product was when Dave Garroway and J. Fred Muggs were hosting. Come to think of it, Lauer does resemble J. Fred a bit. J. Fred had a little more hair.

I remember the first time I saw Williams on NBC. He had just come up from one of their affiliates and was in a spot promoting his new time slot. He actually said that what is best about NBC News is not just that they report they news, but that they "shape it" so its easy to understand.

In my opinion he never had the popularity that he and his NBC promoters seemed to think he had.

cooper is better trained in journalism than anyone else on network tv, and while I do not watch his daytime show, Mrs. Lakerman does, and I have seen enough of Cooper to respect his abilities.

And bonus points if it is headquatered away from Manhattan.

New York - President Barack Obama is coming to New York City Friday to address the Rev. The topic also came up in a 2011 ’60 Minutes’ interview with Lesley Stahl weeks before the debut of “Politics Nation.”In outtakes posted from that interview, Stahl asked Sharpton if he was an FBI informant. The exchange got testy at times when Stahl continued to question Rev. First came the “polar vortex” — now it’s the “pollen vortex.”Forced to lie dormant by the long, brutal winter, trees are now set to start reproducing like crazy — and create a massive amount of pollen that could wallop your sinuses this weekend. Pollen count in the Northeast will soar to “high levels” Saturday and Sunday, when warm temperatures will prompt plants to create the sniffle-inducing substance, reports Pollen.com, which offers allergy “forecasts.” In New York City, where the temps could hit 70 degrees Saturday, allergy symptoms will “become more severe,” the site says. Two years before the Boston Marathon bombing, the Russian government concealed key information on one of the killers that might have thwarted the attack, a new report charges.Kremlin officials intercepted a phone conversation in which Tamerlan Tsarnaev discussed Islamic jihad with his mother, but they withheld the information from the FBI, according to the U.S. inspector general report that comes as the one-year anniversary of the bombing approaches. The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after
