| More than a week before the election, an FBI whistleblower went to a Republican member of Congress with explosive details about a national security scandal that could have stopped President Obama’s re-election campaign dead in its tracks. But the potentially devastating “October Surprise” was hushed up by Republicans. (snip) Because of Cantor’s failure to go public, the scandal exploded only after the election, as Petraeus submitted his resignation as CIA director and Obama accepted it. “I would like to congratulate President Obama on his re-election,” Cantor had actually said on his blog, knowing that Obama’s administration was engaged in

No, we don´t need a new party. The party is NOT the politicians, it is the people and the principles. What we need is to clean house. We need to clean the RNC first and then have to stop voting in these career politicians. We need to get rid of the good ol´ boys club. They do NOT represent the party principles or the people they claim to represent. They only take care of themselves and their buddies. Their true party is the Washington DC Elite Party (R and D only matter when it personally affects them).

Number 5, what you say is true and has been especially so for the past decade even before it became clear the GOP sold this country out without blinking. They should have retired from public life in shame or gone to jail. I´ve been paying close attention and I assure you there´s absolutely no chance any of them are leaving. After the recent election loss, they´ve doubled down against us, eagerly telling the NY Times we´re humble now, the spirit of 2010 is gone, and we have to take our medicine. This is true of both elected GOP and apparatchiks. Jeb Bush is very open about it, says we´re dangerous. As others have said, the GOP isn´t concerned with beating democrats, just with beating conservatives. They don´t care if it takes them the rest of their lives, that´s how deep it is. This includes the extended Bush family. We will never win with these people. Never.

The problem is Petraeus isn´t your average Obama goon squad member and nobody would take delight on blowing the whistle on him.I doubt whether this would have really affected the election outcome anyway. Maybe if it was someone besides Petraeus but not him.
Republicans didn´t make a good enough case against Obama when there was tons of material to go after him on. Romney sat on advertising money until it was too late.
Now we´re sitting around bawling about not getting latino voters when we should be making a rule of law case about deporting them.People have swallowed this "better life" BS instead of calling it out as part of the left´s vote buying schemes.

The cheating and fraudulent votes (like in Ohio, Florida, Philadelphia), supression of military votes, and the votes of the 47% "on the take" would still have ensured an Obama win.

Anyone who thinks that this revelation would have changed the outcome is mentally ill.
Cheating is designed to overcome all reality. 59 precincts in Philadelphia, over 19,000 votes cast and not one single vote for Romney.
This would not have made a difference in the sick world we now live in.

#17 is exactly right. The rot starts from the top. These people´s first thoughts should have been: "What would Axelrod do to us?" And then do so unto them.
If it made no difference to the electorate, then we lose, but if it sent those 3 million, sedentary voters to the polls, we would not be lamenting and licking our wounds today.
Nor would we be ready to embrace amnesty for illegals.

Sligo, Ireland — President Obama this week will visit a European continent deeply worried about its economy, the worsening conflict in Syria and the uncertain direction of American leadership abroad in the fifth year of his administration. As he arrives Monday in Northern Ireland for his first trip to Europe in two years, Obama will be confronting the diplomatic fallout from his actions and inaction on some of the most urgent concerns of his European counterparts. His long delay in more aggressively supporting Syria’s beleaguered opposition forces — a move that his administration announced in the form of expanded

Five months into his second term, allies and enemies are as confounded as ever about who President Obama really is. Is he the dyed-in-the-wool liberal that his biggest supporters and critics suggest? Or is he a pragmatic, even cynical, politician who cares more for his popularity than taking risks for his ideological goals or living up to his rhetoric? Even in the short period since his reelection, Obama has provided evidence to support conflicting interpretations. His efforts to pass immigration reform, the unsuccessful push for stricter gun controls and tax hikes on high earners buttress the case for Obama-as-ideologue.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker polls near the bottom of would-be presidential contenders. Unlike potential rivals, you won´t find him on the cover of Time magazine or slow-jamming the news with comedian Jimmy Fallon. But he´s a conservative Republican who won election in a blue state, survived a brutal recall campaign, and now posts approval ratings over 50 percent. A budget-slashing chief executive and son of a Baptist minister who straddles the fiscal and social conservative camps. A proven fundraiser who has put his thumb in the eye of President Obama and Big Labor. He´s poised to be the sleeper Republican presidential

Yuri Gagarin made history in 1961 when, aged just 27, he became the first man to journey into space. His single Earth orbit on April 12 lasted 108 minutes and was one of the Soviet Union´s most enduring Cold War victories. Seven years later, the Russian cosmonaut was killed in a crash during a training flight - an event that has been shrouded in mystery ever since. Among the conspiracy theories were that he was murdered on the orders of Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev for an unspecified offence or disloyalty to the party; Gagarin had committed suicide; or that the

Not everyone in South Africa is thrilled with the prospect of Obama´s upcoming visit. In fact, the Johannesburg based Muslim Lawyers Association would like to see the president arrested and tried for war crimes when he arrives on June 29. It submitted a 600-plus page document to the Office of the National Director of Public Prosecutions on Friday asking for an investigation into Obama´s involvement in the Middle East. Group spokesman Yousha Tayob said Obama ordered drone strikes that killed innocent civilians. In terms of the Rome Statute, South Africa has the right to prosecute a war

While our corrupt media has done its best to turn the page on Barack Obama´s myriad of scandals, the deep-dive numbers in a new Fox News poll are absolutely devastating for the president. These numbers also reflect what we are seeing in other polls and Obama´s overall approval ratings -- though the media are willfully ignoring reporting on both. In a Fox News column (Snip) Chris Stirewalt extrapolated these brutal numbers: -- 56 percent of voters believe Obama did not try to rescue the doomed garrison in Benghazi, Libya because he didn’t want to risk his re-election.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. And Sarah blasted him on Twitter as a bully. Is that, is it, is he a bully? Is he a bad, what is he?

Jeb Bush says he’s not worried that his work toward comprehensive immigration reform and his ties to the GOP establishment will alienate conservatives and negatively impact a potential 2016 presidential campaign, referring to critics as “the chirpers.” “If I decide to run for office again, it will be based on what I believe, and it will be based on my record,” the former Florida governor said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody. “And that record was one of solving problems completely from a conservative prospective.” Bush (R) pointed to his conservative

During his interview with ABC’s Jonathan Karl this morning, Rubio didn’t even seem to understand what that meant. “Are you being played by the Democrats?” asked Karl. “Is Chuck Schumer playing you?” “I don’t — I quite frankly, I don’t even know what that means,” Rubio replied. “Is he using you?” Karl continued. “Is he using you to try to accomplish something that the Democrats want and is not — not a conservative bill?” Rubio responded that immigration reform was a bi-partisan issue that “all Americans

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
