| Military expert Paula Broadwell, who was allegedly improperly involved with resigned CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus, confirmed in October that the CIA annex in Benghazi asked for reinforcements when the consulate came under attack on September 11. She also acknowledged that "there was a failure in the system." Broadwell was speaking at her alma mater, the University of Denver, on October 26. Her lecture, which is on YouTube under the title "Alumni Symposium 2012 Paula Broadwell," now has added value, because based on the recent disclosures, it can now be assumed that she indeed knew exactly

Affair aside, this woman is no dummy. She graduated from West Point in 1995. She is a lieutenant colonel, ex-intelligence officer and counter-terrorism expert.
She indicates that the commands to stand down and lack of support for our CIA and consulate offices came from the miserable bunch at the WH.
Why the affair and the bitter emails? Who knows. She worked in a field where secrecy is a core value. Lust corrupts!

The CIA is now in fullscale CYA mode denying her assertions. There is an eternal truth here however. When the pillow talker is the head of the CIA, the pillow talkee is a more reliable source of accurate information than the CIA, NYT, or just about anybody else.

Why claim this is part of a "puzzle" when we all know it is a failure of leadership from the White House? The lamestream media cannot cover this up any more. They can try, but the too much has been brought out in open to allow it. Obama has long proven himself to be the poorest person to occupy the WH ever. It just galls me to hear him say that no one will be left behind after Sandy, but no one in the media (except Fox News) has the cojones to bring up Benghazi.

Broadwell should be called to testify by the House Committee. She seems to know a lot more inside info than most others on Benghazi? It´d be grand to get this tart under oath and then grill the Dickens out of her?

The Mddm. Trudeau comment is the best.
I had a really strong and rather witty comment almost ready but I lost the whole idea after reading that and laughing myself onto the floor.
Thank You So Much !

I think that Obama is so very happy that this is coming out about Petraseus as now, he has someone to blame for the Benghazi mess and he thinks he will not be accused of anything. We will never know the truth as it will never be told..... In the meantime, a man was elected President who was not capable for the first four years and is not capable for another four years, but here we are - stuck with him.

How do you think she is going to flame out. Hanging, OD. that pesky convenient heart attack. Is she aware they are planning her demise?
She is already targeted and is a dead woman walking. What she needs to do is hold a press conference, spill her guts, and hide in plain sight. But she won´t. She wants to be faaaaamous like Monroe, Anna Smith and all the other floozies now pushing dasies.

FTA: "As a former intel officer it´s frustrating to me because it reveals our sources and methods, I don´t think the public necessarily needs to know all of that.´´
What Broadwell is revealing here is exactly who anonymous & unnamed White House sources are that the LSM relies to inform or spread lies with.
I guess the only ´´size´´ that matters to these modern day Mata Hari´s are the length of time served by these government officials and how big the secret is they share together. [I guess there is a ´´g-spot.´´]

I listened to the symposium video as recommended by #2. While listening I had the feeling that we are witnessing the shadow world of intelligence ops playing out ("performing" or "operating" might be more accurate terms) for all the world to see, especially for "We The People."
Who is playing whom in this instance? Where´s our George Smiley (John LeCarre´s genius spy)? Do we have our own master spy who can ferret out the lies, the moles and other deep cover double and triple agents at work? I hope so.

Who, in the liberal media knew? They continually protected Obama. He alone, as President of US, is responsible. He did not respond to the attack! He did not make a stand for US. He let innocent men die! Their blood is upon him.
The families of the fallen need to sue Obama and let the lawyers fight it out in court, if that is what it takes to get the truth!
Broadwell seems to know more than our President. How does this happen? She and Petraeus conversed together more than the President of US did with US!
God is opening our eyes!
What are we going to do with this information?
Are we able to make a stand for righteousness, beginning at the White House?
What did Obama know?
When did he know it, and how much?
Obama has constantly lied to US and the media just pats him on the back, congratulates him for outsmarting the common people.
We are a country in turmoil.
Righteousness has been "driven out" from US!
We accept anything.
Obama ran a campaign of fear and contempt.
Too many Americans swallowed it "hook, line & sinker" and now we all, together, will suffer the consequences.
Pray for America. We are lost without God.
The Democractic convention threw God out.
Let US make a stand that Obama does not represent US. We are a country founded on Christian principles, dedicated to God, wants freedom for all.
This cannot go away without US knowing exactly what happened. Too many in the Obama administration have come forward with lies that need to be challenged.

The Margaret Trudeau comment was great.
As an aside for those who still need proof that truth is stranger than fiction. the two candidates (so far) for the leadership of the Liberal Party of Canada are Justin Trudeau (son of Pierre and Margaret) and Deborah Coyne (daughter of Pierre Trudeau with his girlfriend, and therefore half sister to Justin).

The question of "How much did Obama/the white house know?" about Benghazi is not the issue. The issue is -- They are paid to know and act appropriately in such an attack and they did not.
I doubt that Petraeus would make the decision to not help protect those who were under attack in Benghazi.
Re the concerns for Ms. Broadwell´s safety, perhaps her identity was revealed to protect her from disappearing as an unknown. Thankfully, Ms. Broadwell has military training, and hopefully, a sharpshooter ribbon/medal so that she can protect herself.

What Broadwell reveals in the video is astonishing! She tells us that the CIA was holding 2 members of the "militia." (Could have been al qaeda or God know who else)and this was the reason for the attack to get their people back. I noticed that she walked back a little on that by saying "its all being vetted" but I believe that was the real reason for the attack. This puts the blame squarely on the WH/SOS´s plate. They knew we had prisoners and those prisoners could be squeeze for a myriad of intel purposes and the WH dropped the ball and in the process doomed four goood dedicated operators. Whata president we have.

22, my daughter is a Lt in the Army and has to deal with that kind of attitude all the time. She is a diligent officer. Having said that, I don´t think women should be in combat. There are career people inside the CIA who like things the way they are and don´t want change. Porter Gaus found that out as well as Petraeus. It is like a shadow government. I have a feeling there are more bombshells to come.

The building had a Jail Fox showed it and called it (strange i thought at the time) a safe for a time hiding place Bars is not a hiding place.
My take on all this is that Petraeus would not allow himself to be blackmailed to keep quiet when 4 Americans were murdered. Were did Broadwell get her information i thought Petraeus broke up with her. To not give the Ambassador protection in the first place was like a death sentence for him. Is that what was wanted and the reason not to send help. Would Petraeus ever go along covering up something like this i think not.

President Obama offers only weasel words to explain deaths in Libya and IRS abuses. He’s the master of verbal evasion. House Republicans need to replace debate with action to hold the president accountable on these issues. To get to the bottom of why four Americans died in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012, House Republicans should issue a formal resolution demanding to know where the president was on the night September 11 and what role he played. Obama needs to be put on the hot seat. Benghazi- For eight months, the White House has maneuvered

Much has been written and said about the astoundingly tone deaf performance of White House spokesman Jay Carney during this past month of scandals. The former journalist has lost the confidence of the people who were once his colleagues due to his unwillingness to tell the truth about his own deceptive statements (never mind those he represents in front of the press) about the Benghazi talking points or even to acknowledge that he has changed his story. The same applies to the shifting story he has told about the Internal Revenue Service scandal

Ibragim Todashev, 27, also hung around with slain marathon bombing mastermind Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26 — swilling beer and eating chicken on a stoop on Harding Street, they said. “I was the happiest person when they moved. ... The 2012 election season was filled with angry cries of “voter suppression,” almost all of them regarding attempts by states to require voter ID and otherwise improve ballot integrity. Bill Clinton warned that “there has never been — in my lifetime, since we got rid of the poll tax and all the other Jim Crow burdens on voting — the determined effort to limit the franchise that we see today.” Democratic-party chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said “photo-ID laws, we think, are very similar to a poll tax.” All of this proved to be twaddle.

The Justice Department’s secret seizure of phone records from The Associated Press and its monitoring of Fox News reporter James Rosen are nothing less than thuggish attempts to criminalize the practice of journalism — the only profession specifically protected by the US Constitution. Free and open inquiry is also the cornerstone of our democracy, a legacy of the Enlightenment that found its clearest expression in the First Amendment: “Congress shall make no law . . . abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press.” By which the Founders specifically meant political speech. They understood that, even with the checks and balances

A blood-splattered jihadist with a meat cleaver in one hand declaring to a bystander’s smartphone camera “Allahu Akbar” and “we will always beat you” in a pronounced south London accent? While waiting twenty minutes for the police to arrive after he’s taken part in what seemed like a ritual assassination of a British soldier? Exactly what terrorist profile does this conform to? None. And that’s what concerns British terrorism officials. Is this bizarre episode the beginning of a new, unpredictable pattern of loners operating without any organized backing behind them, or a one-off?

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state
