Meet The Woman Who
Exposed David Petraeus´
Affair With His Biographer

The AP has identified 37-year-old Jill Kelley as the woman who complained about receiving emails from Paula Broadwell, leading to an FBI investigation into Broadwell´s relationship with former CIA Director David Petraeus. There´s no evidence Kelley was having an affair with Petraeus as well — just that she had received emails from Broadwell that warranted a complaint against the 40-year-old married biographer. (Snip) A 2010 society item from the Tampa Bay Times reveals Jill and her husband Scott were friendly with David and Holly Petraeus, inviting the couple to their home for Tampa Bay´s annual Gasparilla Pirate Fest.

Comments:
Paula Broadwell was described as being "tempermental". Is she a Fatal Attraction type?

general, like alot of guys, and it pains me deeply to admit this, you overlooke a very important rule: never go to bed with anyone who´s crazier than you are"

The good general had four stars on each shoulder. Could each star represent a ....? Nah, impossible!

Petraeus certainly goes for the same look with his ´Other Women´. Jill and Paula both look and dress the same (not to say Jill was having an affair with him, but for some reason Paula thought she was a threat). And both married to doctors and about the same age.

Broadwell is like the nutty astronaut with the diapers, another service academy overachiever. Lovely bunch they´re turning out in the service academies these days. They´re sort of testosterone fuelled females of female instinct or something, who can´t control their love-bug emotions, not a pretty picture.

#1, read Florence King on the subject of why guys are attracted to crazy women. Hint: Crazy equals hot, for many men.

Heat inevitably cools. Crazy, as Petraeus is finding out, is forever.

Was Patraeus ever in Armor? He sure does like him some big Howitzers.

I wanna know why four Americans died in Libya, not who Petraeus was doing the horizontal mambo with.

It seems all the Lucianne posters are "Petraeus 24/7".

Good grief.

No more comments on this affair.
Lets hear the Lybia testamony.

Keep you eye on what´s important.
Remember, its just sex.

Paula and Jill went up the hill
Each had Patraeus to barter
Paula came down, a smile on her face
Jill above fixing her garter.

Tired of 24/7 Petraeus´ sex kitten watch.

And Jill looks like one of the Jersey Shore characters...

Does anyone seriously believe that LDotters have forgotten about Benghazi because of the Petraeus-Broadwell kerfuffle? How absurd.

As has been posted here many times when posters thought we could only focus on one thing at a time, were easily distracted, we can indeed walk and chew gum at the same time.

Those who complain about articles posted should jump in and post what they like rather than leaving it up to a few others and then kvetching.

(hit submit too soon)

I am waiting for next week. The Senate Intelligence Committee Hearing. There will be more to report on who the CIA will send to take Petraeus´s place, whether the hearing will be open or closed (classified), and on and on.

There will also be more from Peter King (R-NY) on getting Petraeus to testify after all, and watch for Trey Gowdy to keep hammering on this.

News is a 24/7 situation with stories breaking and/or developing, fleshing out (bad pun), every minute.

This is a mess made more fascinating - with rumor build up - of what was said between the two women and what was considered threatening. I suspect it was two competing women who had no clue to the damage they could cause. An obvious reason to Not get sexually involved with people while taking care of government business. Men can be, sadly, stupid and vulnerable to even the most casual of flirts ... And then there´s Bill Clinton...

It is apparent that the good general is a serial adulterer. More will follow in the next few days.

This is like Fatal Attraction. I do fault the General, but it´s obvious who was the aggressor. When he broke it off and tried to do the right thing, she became unhinged. I feel just as bad for her husband as I do for Petraeus´ wife.

Reply 19 - Posted by: nonsense, 11/11/2012 7:11:39 PM     (No. 9007906)

I say that anything that keeps the focus on Petraeus and the Benghazi affair is a good thing. Surely even the yellow press will not be able to resist this story.

Reply 20 - Posted by: mominNoCA, 11/11/2012 7:44:09 PM     (No. 9007955)

Already I´m beginning not to care about this story. The only thing I care about is whether or not Petraeus will tell what he knows about Benghazi. The rest belongs on daytime television for the Honey Boo-Boos to discuss. Things would have been simpler if the General had just bought a red Corvette like the rest of the middle-aged Boomer guys.

if jill is one of his "paramours" it looks as though he wasn´t very discriminating. she looks like tony soprano in drag but paula definately fits the mata hari role....obviously brilliant, ambitious and attractive but isn´t it amazing how often people complicate their lives?
this all seems to be too convenient for barack hussein....petraeus set to testify next week? was this a warning to him that went awry due to bad timing?

Reply 22 - Posted by: ColonialAmerican1623, 11/11/2012 8:56:01 PM     (No. 9008036)

Have we heard all there is about Broadwell yet ?

In the meantime, the focus is off Libya and BTW, the folks in the NE still don´t have power.

‘Who’s going to jail’ over IRS
scandal? Probably nobody.

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) wants to know “who’s going to jail” over the IRS scandal. But ousted acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller says no laws were violated when the agency targeted conservative groups. So who’s right? Did the IRS’s conduct take a step beyond mere “wrongdoing” and venture into criminal territory? (Snip)Essentially, there are three types of laws that might conceivably have been broken, as Attorney General Eric Holder acknowledged in his testimony before a House committee Wednesday:

WASHINGTON — It was an unusual way to deliver bad news, even in a town known for its selective leaks, Friday night news dumps and wag-the-dog distractions. The Internal Revenue Service, apparently determined to get out ahead of an inspector general report critical of its handling of tax exemptions for Tea Party groups, came up with a plan: Lois Lerner, the official responsible for the tax-exempt division, would publicly apologize in response to a question at the American Bar Association conference in Washington. Details of the now-infamous planted question emerged Friday after acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller admitted the gambit

Taxpayers tuning in to Friday´s House Ways and Means hearing on IRS targeting of conservative groups may have expected to hear some hangdog apologies from senior members of the agency. If so, they were disappointed. Acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller, who was fired by President Obama this week but is sticking around to help with the transition, was almost casual about the pattern of biased enforcement that cost him his job. Earlier this week he blamed the political targeting on "rogue" officials in Cincinnati, but on Friday he said the behavior was "obnoxious" but that he does "not believe

Members of Congress grilled former IRS Acting Commissioner Steven Miller on Capitol Hill Friday morning, in an attempt to get answers on the IRS´ inappropriate targeting of conservative-sounding groups that were applying for tax-exempt status. Republicans and Democrats on the House Ways and Means Committee both said that Miller and other IRS officials should have alerted Congress in testimony last year that they knew the agency was giving extra scrutiny to conservative and Tea Party groups.

President Obama announced Wednesday that acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller would resign in the wake of the agency scandal in which conservative groups were targeted -- though Miller was apparently set to step down anyway. An official close to Miller told Fox News, shortly after Obama´s brief announcement, that the IRS chief was "set to resign the position of acting commission as of early June." He was planning to leave the IRS entirely a "couple of months later, regardless of the current controversy," the source said. These details were not mentioned by the president

The director of the Office of Rulings and Agreements, which oversees the determinatons of tax-exempt organizations, is a donor to Barack Obama. Holly Paz donated $2,000 to Obama’s 2008 campaign, according to Open Secrets, which maintains a database of individual political donations. An inspector general’s report released yesterday concluded that the IRS improperly targeted Tea Party and other conservative groups for undue scrutiny, and Paz heads the office in which the wrongdoing is said to have occurred. National Review Online reported earlier today that agency officials are currently copying the hard drives of every employee on Paz’s watch.

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

Watching President Obama trying to dodge raindrops and responsibility yesterday reminded me of the moment when Dorothy pulls back the curtain and discovers that the Wizard of Oz is “just a man.” Stripped of his spell of mystery and power, the wizard is worse than mortal. He’s a fake. So it was with Obama in the Rose Garden. His performance was tired and trite, ordinary to the point of dull. His veneer of passion was so transparent that you could see him trying to summon his old-time magic by pushing the buttons

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

Ms. Abedin did not disclose the arrangement — or how much income she earned — on her financial report. It requires officials to make public any significant sources of income. An adviser to Mrs. Clinton, Philippe Reines, said that Ms. Abedin was not obligated to do so. The disclosure of the agreement that Ms. Abedin made with the State Department comes as her husband,

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

President Obama’s press conference in the rain was not a success, if by success, his supporters would mean an event which convinces anyone who doesn’t work for him that he’s getting ahead of the scandal deluge. The sight of a Marine holding an umbrella over his head only added to the weirdness of the event. So what did we learn? 1. The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
