| Sometimes the best explanation to a complex question is the simplest explanation. In the face of conservative hand-wringing, investigating what went wrong, and worrying whether another conservative ever again will be elected president in our lifetimes, it may very well be that the anomaly of Obama being re-elected, despite all his shortcomings and the colossal failure of his policies through four years, comes down to a simple outlier fact that pundits universally have ignored: Obama is cool.

I want the guy on TV to be cool, said the dim.
I want our president to be competent, said the Republican.
And they all went at a high rate of speed towards the fiscal abyss.

Last night´s Saturday Night Live opening skit was an attempt to make fun of Mitt Romney. They showed him drinking milk to excess - unfunny, not remembering the names of his sons - unfunny. It was sad to see a once amusing tv show losing its soul.

Im sorry to say, the "it" factor is part of the American psyche....this is a celebrity culture. If you don´t know how to be cool, don´t run. We didn´t have ONE nominee who met this criteria this cycle. If you don´t understand "cool" you´ll never understand why we lost. It stinks, but it´s true.

Vote for the cool guy! If you´ve lost your job who cares? The cool guy will give you someone else´s money so don´t worry...this can go on forever. You can stay home and watch cool people on TV and won´t have to act "white" anymore. The cool guy will take care of everything. Cool!

Never forget the Pimp with the Limp. Obama, the 4 Kool general leading the victorious army in the War on Women, appeared on the Pimp´s show and not a word of embarrassment was heard from the women in the vagina outfits. Nor from Chrissy Matthews, who would love to be on air in a vagina costume, but MSNBC has minimal standards. Obama isn´t cool, he´s heartless. But to his followers, "That´s cool".
Also, golfers are never cool. They´re old fogies. Unless, of course, your Obama.

FTA: " Despite his failure to contest Obama frontally in the public forum in a truly vigorous battle of clearly contrasted ideas and values, except on one delicious debate night of October 3, Romney would have been a great president for this moment in time. America would have benefited so greatly from having a man of quality, of personal humility and deep character in the White House. "
Now, that was cool. and the MSM did everything they could to put clothes back on the emperor.

The wimpy Republicans are not going to win future elections by becoming the Democrat Light Party, as the real liberal Democrats will out bid them in the arena of minority voter participation at every step of the game.
The Republicans have to get a pair and stop playing Defense all the time.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

Remember president Obama´s first pitch of the MLB 2010 season at the Washington Nationals ballpark? It sailed towards the home team dugout. While he couldn´t throw a baseball within ten feet of home plate -- even if it took a double bounce on the way in -- Obama has tossed perfect incendiary strikes inside his own clubhouse, sending his entire team to the disabled list, demoted to the minor leagues, or banned from the game for life. In fact Obama´s entire liberal-progressive league has forfeited the rest of the season -- and then some.

Hey, liberals! Obama thinks you are stupid. Yeah, he really does. He knew Benghazi was terrorism before he didn´t know it was terrorism. Addressing a question about Benghazi in his press conference Monday, May 13, 2013, Obama´s "logic" really made an impression: "The Day after it happened I acknowledged that this was an act of terrorism." (snip) Leaving behind Obama´s initial certitude about Benghazi having been a terror attack, not only did he not know what had happened because it wasn´t clear

What person ever says what he really knows at a funeral? Eulogies bearing little or no resemblance to the deceased or to the facts are trotted out by people who are often bad actors, who though they know better, lie anyway. It´s almost acceptable behavior. But any truth about the deaths of U.S. Ambassador Christ Stevens and three other Americans appears to have been put six feet under as far as our current administration is concerned. (snip)Did they love Chris Stevens the way Brutus loved Caesar?

Somewhere, Andrew Breitbart is smiling. You can almost see the metaphorical light bulbs going on in bubbles over the heads of liberal media figures. Obama loyalists are expressing outrage at the subpoenaing of the phone records of 20 lines serving over a hundred AP reporters. The timing could not be better.(snip) the AP scandal´s significance entirely lies with its effect on the media´s mindset on Obama. They have been cheerleading for him for six years,

Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell was convicted yesterday on three counts of first-degree murder, not to mention a slew of other charges, including involuntary manslaughter (for the death of 41-year-old Karnamaya Mongar), infanticide, and abortions past Pennsylvania´s legal limit. (snip)in a culture dominated by the 24-hour news cycle, it will be easy for Americans to consider the abortion issue closed with the Gosnell verdict. The pro-life movement´s challenge, as [Lila] Rose says, is to keep the American people focused on how common Gosnell-like practices are in the abortion industry, and on all the unsung victims abortion

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose
