| BuzzFeed Politics was forced on Friday to ask the question that all tween girls find themselves pondering about their first crush: why won’t he talk to me? Andrew Kaczynski seemed confused and distraught that President Obama issued a statement without taking any questions in his first press conference since Tuesday’s election. It was the first time an incumbent president has refused to answer questions from reporters after winning reelection in over two decades. Maybe BuzzFeed Politics would’ve been less surprised by this turn of events if they were actually doing the work of real journalists instead of acting

I read somewhere that there was a gross receipts tax on movies tickets after WWII until the mid-1950´s. I think that would be a great tax to revive.

So? They´re getting exactly what they worked so hard to achieve. No sympathy here, not even an I told you so. I did write MSM not only their news, but all of their programming was forever blocked from my TV. Haven´t even checked my e-mail for a reply, and if there is one it gets deleted unread.

An IRS supervisor working in Washington told congressional investigators that she personally reviewed applications from groups for tax-exempt status, in testimony that appears to show the agency’s scrutiny of conservative groups extended beyond the confines of the office in Cincinnati. Holly Paz, who was a supervisor in the Internal Revenue Service’s tax-exempt status division, indicated during an interview with congressional investigators that she did review such applications, but indicated that she believed “tea party” meant political advocacy in general — not necessarily conservative groups.

The Supreme Court ruled today in Arizona v. Inter Tribal Council that federal law does not allow states the option of requiring voters to prove they are American citizens when they register to vote. The National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA, or “Motor Voter”) creates a standardized national system for registering to vote in federal elections. Syria is turning out to be a sort of Spanish Civil War of our age, with Hezbollah and Iran playing the role of fascist Italy and Germany, and the Islamic nations and jihadists that of Stalin’s Russia, as the moderates disappear and the messy conflict becomes a proxy war for greater powers, with worse to come.
