| Brussels replaced its popular Christmas tree exhibit this year at the city center due to concerns that it may offend the local Muslim population. The Right Perspective reported: Government officials in Brussels, Belgium banned Wednesday a popular Christmas tree exhibit out of concerns that the local Muslim population found it “offensive." An “electronic winter tree,” will take the place of the traditional Christmas Tree and Nativity scene at the city center of Grand Place, reports Brussels News. The electronic sculpture will stand 25 meters (82 feet) tall and consists of a set of television screens,

The illusion of "Christian Europe" is dying. The substance of "Christian Europe" died long ago. Going with a cowardly whimper into that "Good Night", without protest or perhaps even recognition of what is happening.

Why would they be offended? If they don´t want to participate in the Christmas holidays, then don´t. But to expect the Christian people to give up their celebration is not acceptable. Why do governments & organizations give in to such nonsense, doesn´t make any sense.......unless they are trying to take over the world. Hmmm ya reckon that might be it, with the blessing of people in power all over the world? Politially correctness is going to destroy us all.

The Belgian King takes the following oath: “I swear to observe the Constitution and the laws of the Belgian people, to preserve the country’s national independence and its territorial integrity”.
Notice anything missing? Belgium is a secular nation that happens to have been largely Catholic.

Back in the day (1977-1979) I used to be a flight attendant and we went to Brussels four times a month. Loved the city. At Christmas the most beautiful site was the tree lit up in the Square. They had live animals in the manger as well . Traditional and beautiful. I cannot tell you how sad this makes me feel. It can only be a matter of time before Germany falls to the same nonsense. What a bunch of weak -kneed milk toast cowards they are to give in to this . They are breeding and we are not. Simple as that.

Blame it on the Muslims, but this sort of thing has been happening for decades (even in my area) where Muslims are not a factor. Just fill in your favorite non-Christian group. And in the Turnabout-is-Fair-Play department - our local Evangelicals have gotten the school Halloween Carnival banned. It has been reincarnated as ´Fall Festival´ although no one bothers to dress up as say, a pilgrim.
I´d say in the case of Brussels it is the likely product of an unholy (and not unusual) alliance of Muslims and Post Christians (aka Atheists).

Brussels turning into an Islamic cave?Business in this area has suffered by refusing to celebrate Christmas. I stopped shopping at all stores which went anti-tradition and anti-tree. .... No Muslim is going to tell me what traditioins I will be allowed to practice in the country of my birth. I buy no ´Holiday´ cards. My greetings all say ´Merry Christmas.´ I play only ´Christmas´ music in December, and I no longer attend local song-fests which ´forbid´ the mention of Holy Night, Christ, Manger, Three Kings and Bethlehem.

The whole world is preparing for the anti-Christ! We Christians must stand up and be counted! Jesus will return again for His own, then the world will be as it was before Jesus first came. His mission was to save us and was rejected by many back then even. Today we see the rise of Islam and they will be involved in the final battle where Jesus will prove His authority over the world He created. Satan is defeated!
Persecution has been suffered throughout the world for centuries, but now it is coming to the cities/towns/nations that once held up God´s Word and sent missionaries to the lost and now find themselves overcome too by Satan.
The governments have sought control and the anti-Christ will take over and determine who will live and who will die.
In this country we are also disregarding the Christ of Christmas and only seek the commercial advantage of gift giving. Jesus was/is the Perfect Gift, freely given, and forever present in those who "choose" to believe and then receive His Love/Grace eternally.
Pray for US and the world. Our children/grandchildren deserve better than what we are giving or leaving them.
Christians forgive - Muslims murder those who do not believe. There is no forgiveness in their religion. Jesus saves - Mohammed condemns.

Among the criteria by which the Internal Revenue Service selected groups in for its political targeting program in 2012 was "educating on the constitution and bill of rights" (lowercase in original), according to the Inspector General´s Report. Lois Lerner, who directs the office at the center of that effort, has received her own education in the Constitution.(Snip)Josh Marshall, proprietor of TalkingPointsMemo.com, concedes that Lerner "has every right" to invoke the Fifth Amendment "and may be wise to do so. But that´s a decision that simply is not consistent with her remaining in her job.

CINCINNATI, OH - The claim that the ongoing IRS scandal is limited to low level employees is falling apart. The six Cincinnati workers we have identified, who sent scrutinizing letters to conservative groups with words including "patriot, liberty, tea party or 9-12" in their names are Mitchel Steele, Carly Young, Joseph Herr, Stephen Seok, Liz Hofacre and a woman identified only as Ms. Richards. We can now officially call the Obama administration besieged. One of President Obama´s underlings is set to plead her Fifth Amendment Right against self-incrimination in the burgeoning IRS scandal. The Los Angeles Times broke the story: Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won´t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening - or why she didn´t disclose it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor III. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
