Freedom Works has put together a list of companies that will be laying off employees as a result of President Barack Obama´s health care law: Welch Allyn - Welch Allyn, a company that manufactures medical diagnostic equipment in central New York, announced in September that they would be laying off 275 employees, or roughly 10% of their workforce over the next three years. One of the major reasons discussed for the layoffs was a proactive response to the Medical Device Tax mandated by the new healthcare law. 10 million on social security disability

Now, that makes a Democrat smile.

I spent many years as a libertarian, but this has actually turned me against these companies and I will be boycotting them, starting with Applebees.

My family has a small business. We have always provided healthcare. It´s not that freaking hard. You penalize your growth to a degree, and since and owner usually gets paid by percentage of growth, you penalize yourself as an individual, but NOT your profit. The acceleration is slowed, but you don´t suddenly become unprofitable.

If you aren´t paying your employees enough to afford it on their own (about $6K a year for a single), than you never could afford to have that many people, or that much business in the first place. Under our current system, you were basically making the taxpayers pick up *your expense* just as if you hired an illegal. You were actually supporting a very expensive form of single payer by offloading your burden.

The jobs reports in the coming months, leading up to BO´s re-inauguration will be disastrous. The media has no reason to hide the numbers anymore since their messiah has been safely reelected. I wonder, will THESE jobs numbers be blamed on Bush? Just a rhetorical question, of course.

This just shows how little jobs were as an election issue.I understand women being offended by some idiotic rape comments by a couple of loons but to sacrifice the very existence of our country in lieu of such comments is moronic and suicide on the payment plan.

Obama´s war on business was created to create an environment where people would demand the government to step in and create jobs out of thin air.The problem is people don´t care about working anymore when there´s tons of alternative ways of surviving.

Women are the breadwinners even if it´s government bread and men are happy to sponge off them. Just another liberal creation where there´s no shame attached to such behavior.

Talk to parents who can´t get their kids out of the house to find a job. Instead the kids sleep all day and play on the internet all night.Plus they can´t pass a drug screening for a job anyway because they´re addicted to pot, that the left says isn´t an addictive drug.

Good luck to parents in Col. and Or. where pot is legal now.Watch the workforce participation in those states drop like a rock.

Social conservatives are now supposed to sit down and shut up when they´re the ones who will pick up the tab for liberal lunacy.

Many of those companies have lots of female employees.

Hope the all get a free Obama sticker along with their pink slips.

Yes, elections have consequences.

Tax those greedy workers more so that each of the welfare recipients can receive the average 60K of federal benefits per year. The producers are villains while the recipients are victims. How is this policy viable with 16 trillion debt and the population incentivized to stop working. Obama is redistributing the wealth from the poor to the rich welfare recipients. What a leader!

One of the companies listed on page 2 is Kroger. The Kroger chain of food stores is unionized even in right to work states like Georgia.

Almost all the store employees are female since they can work shifts which are friendly to them while kids are in school, etc.

So how do these women feel now?

The non-union Publix chain is not laying off, yet.

Obama is going to issue an executive order making it illegal to layoff anyone that voted for him. So for all of those hoping for only dems losing their jobs - well good try!

The looney lefties have started digital harassment campaigns against the CEOs of these companies, as well as boycotts. No business - no jobs - No products and services. They are mentally and emotionally misformatted! They will become harassers, snitches and then oppressors taking our stuff for their own, imprisoning and killing us. Hyenas, filthy hyenas.

And the voters of this country say why, what happened, we voted for the free stuff, why should companies shrink or close completely? WHERE IS MY FREE STUFF???!!! Not going to be pretty when these people have a hissy fit when reality hits.

About “Bush Appointee” Doug Shulman …

The left loves to remind everyone that the former IRS commissioner was a Bush appointee, because somehow this makes it OK that his IRS office abused power to criminally target conservatives. For a party that loves to blame Bush, they sure love signing off on everything Bush did and then maximizing it times eleventy. Shulman may have been a Bush appointee, but he was an Obama donor: Shulman donated $500 to the Democratic National Committee in 2004. So let’s start calling him “Democrat supporter” Doug Shulman. All this shows is that Bush wasn’t an ideological bigot.

Seven months we’ve been waiting for someone, anyone, to ask the White House staff what was President Obama doing on the night the Benghazi attacks took place. We have researched this on our own and have him tracked from 4pm to around 7:30pm (EST). But after 7:30pm it is a total BLACKOUT – an unknown void of information. Finally after seven MONTHS. Chris Wallace asks White House Communications Director, Dan Pfeiffer, what was President Obama doing. (Snip) they are hiding what actually took place that night. They are desperately trying to cover the President’s intentional uninvolvement.

The activity was outrageous (Snip) Stephanopoulos: You don’t really mean the law is irrelevant, do you? Pfeiffer: What I mean is whether it’s legal or illegal is not important to the fact that the conduct doesn’t matter.

Treasury officials were made aware in June 2012 that the IRS inspector general was reviewing the office that handles tax-exempt applications, but a letter from October shows that the inspector general did not highlight the audit as a top concern for the agency. In a memo dated October 15, 2012, to then-Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner about IRS challenges for 2013, Inspector General J. Russell George noted other problem areas, but made no mention of the investigation taking place at the time of the agency´s intense scrutiny of conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status.

IRS breaks the rules

It eventually comes down to who — who at the IRS was responsible for targeting conservative and Tea Party groups for special scrutiny. Because, after all, you can’t put a “system” in jail. You can’t put a report in prison. You can’t indict a department for corruption. At the end of the day it’s people who are responsible for using the enormous powers of the Internal Revenue Service to go after other people and groups because of their political beliefs. U.S. Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas) told the tale of one of his constituents who applied for tax-exempt status for her Tea Party group in July 2010.

She´s something of a foodie but has been able to eat only microwaveable foods, she adds. WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare.
