Thirty-one and a half months after the Affordable Care Act was signed into law by President Obama, we finally have our answer. The President’s re-election, and the Democrats’ gains in the Senate, mean that Obamacare is here to stay. The conservative movement to repeal the law has been defeated. But we know something else: that America’s unsustainable fiscal situation means that Obamacare is destined to be the last major entitlement enacted by the United States. Indeed, Obamacare’s victory sets off a stiff competition for taxpayer dollars between Obamacare, Medicaid, and Medicare. It’s a battle that the elderly

There simply is not enough money to fund all these programs - especially when we are already running huge deficits. How long before it all unravels?

It´s unraveling now. More and more doctors not accepting Medicare, huge deficits now and increasing exponentially. We are broke, busted and it won´t get any better.

A good model of what is going to happen is Germany in the 1920´s.
The Weimar Republic printed money by the boxcar load with nothing to back it up.
Sound familiar?

Just yesterday I read a fine piece by Heritage on why Obamacare is still unlikely to be implemented.

ObamaCare ensures that the elderly will meet an earlier demise due to withholding of services...we just won´t be worth the added expense of keeping us alive.

Look to to U.K. for verification of this fact.

But hey! The slugs at the bottom will get all the substandard care they need.

Until they too get old and then....yeah that´s right.

It was all about getting votes anyway.

Obamacare is not the last. We have too large an entitled class of worthless bums. Toss them another bone, win another election even if you are broke. Soon we´ll have government owned and operated groceries and department stores for the entitled. They won´t need their free Walmart card. Gonna get me some Obama cake and pork rinds. Just keep printing money til it all blows up and the riots begin.

I´m not so sure the elderly will lose. There are a lot of middle-class people who work hard and have no government assistance, but whose parents are on SS and Medicare. I´m predicting a huge fight over government dollars that were earned, and those just given away to buy votes from parasites.

"An unjust law is no law at all." We have one way left to remove Obamacare, revolt.
I won´t be filing income tax return anymore. The illigitmate regime will react with more tyranical opression. It will start nonviolently and degrade rapidly into open civil war. The regime knows this already. That´s why Homeland Security (aka Gestapo) bought all those hollow point bullets.

Dear Mabel Evans: the IPAB has reviewed your case and we regret that we are unable to provide any additional funding for your cancer treatment or medicines.

Thank you for your financial and political support of the Democratic Party for the last 40 years and for your gullibility in believing our nonsense about feminism, abortion, war on women, sexual harassment, pay gaps, glass ceilings, and other divide and conquer tactics.

Have a nice day - you don´t have many of them left!

It will be interesting to see how the AARP will deal with angry seniors who have been told that Medicare will not cover knee replacements and hip replacements for 80 and 90 year olds.

I told ´liberal´ Seniors that they wold loose their Medicare Advantage, and that $ 750,000,000,000, that´s BILLION were taken out of Medicare to pay for the ´Uninsured´ [still leaving 30 Million uninsured, by the way] .............. but they didn´t believe me ........ ´OH, He wouldn´t do that!´

Now ALL Americans will reap destruction in a ´Lost American.´

NOTE
You cannot continue your previous Insurance when you turn 65, you MUST go on Medicare.

PS
Insurance Companies [scheduled to make BILLIONS under ObamaCare], are STILL [Nov 10th 2012] selling Medicare Advantage on TV, [History, Animal Planet channels etc], which will end entirely in 11 months, with incremental changes till then.

The helthcare system will continue it´s spiral down as fewer doctors accept medicare and medicaid, which will be followed eventually by mandatory requirement to serve, which will be followed by fewer doctors, etc, etc, etc.

Medicaid reimbursement is set to be higher than for medicare. Obama´s HHS team has a declining payment schedule on SS & Medicare... as you age, you get less & less until you become a ward of the state & coached to die.

In Obama´s world, the value of a human life declines after 55.

The last entitlement? You jest, you mean the latest entitlement. Because I can name a list of entitlements that are on the horizon and they won´t be cheap: free college tuition, not lower, but free; more government housing for, you guessed it, the new "middle-class"; subsidized energy payments such as gas, electric, phone, Internet. That´s just a few of the fine things coming our way.

Apparently Louisiana is first to request secession.

All Red States should begin talks of secession immediately. This lets the Feds know we´re not done yet. We are not giving up. If they want to tax us to death, then there will be a fight.

Now it can be a debate fight and we can sort this out and remain a United States.

Failing that is violent action.....initiated by the Federal Government and put to an end by the individual States. Without the States, there is no Federal Government.

And before someone accuses me of being militant: I am NOT advocating for violent action. It is just my belief that as individual States, it is time to absolve ourselves of this Union. That is the only way we get the attention of the Federal Government.

KABUL, Afghanistan -- Taliban gunmen launched a coordinated attack on an international aid group’s guesthouse in an upscale Kabul neighborhood Friday, setting off a furious firefight that lasted several hours and renewing fears of the insurgents’ ability to strike virtually at will in the heart of the capital. The late-afternoon attack took place in Kabul’s Shar-e-Naw district, home to numerous heavily fortified compounds housing international aid groups and Afghan governmental and security entities. The assault began with a powerful car bomb detonated at the gates of the guesthouse used by workers for the International Organization for Migration

A Bronx teacher fired after a student complained about her use of a racial slur says the whole thing is just a ridiculous case of meaning lost -- literally -- in translation. Petrona Smith, 65, was a non-tenured teacher at the bilingual school PS 211 until March 2012, when she was fired after a student complained of being called "negro" and "a failure." But Smith, who is black and a native of the West Indies, said the student misunderstood her meaning: she was using the word "negro," the word for the color black in Spanish

The murder of a soldier in south London on Wednesday has prompted fears of a backlash against British Muslims after the English Defence League staged an impromptu rally in the capital and two mosques were attacked. The BNP leader, Nick Griffin, has also reacted to the killing with provocative tweets calling for a protest in Woolwich and claiming the crime is the result of "mass immigration". Farooq Murad of the Muslim Council of Britain said the EDL´s rally in London on Wednesday night was cause for concern. "When attacks like these happen there´s always the danger of far-right extremism

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. - The Interstate 5 bridge collapse into the Skagit River was caused by an oversize truck hitting the span, the Washington State Patrol chief said. "For reasons unknown at this point in time the semi struck the overhead of the bridge causing the collapse," Batiste told an overnight news conference. The truck made it off the bridge and the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Two other vehicles went into the water Thursday evening as the structure crumbled. WASHINGTON — When President Barack Obama pushed his health care overhaul plan through Congress, he counted labor unions among his strongest supporters. But some unions leaders have grown frustrated and angry about what they say are unexpected consequences of the new law — problems that they say could jeopardize the health benefits offered to millions of their members. The issue could create a political headache next year for Democrats facing re-election if disgruntled union members believe the Obama administration and Congress aren´t working to fix the problem.

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
