President Obama's weekly remarks: Hello, everybody. On Tuesday, America went to the polls. And the message you sent was clear: you voted for action, not politics as usual. You elected us to focus on your jobs, not ours. That’s why I’ve invited leaders of both parties to the White House next week, so we can start to build consensus around challenges we can only solve together. I also intend to bring in business, labor and civic leaders from outside Washington to get their ideas and input as well. At a time when our economy is still recovering from the Great Recession, our top priority has to be jobs and

Well he´s never really focused on his job before - that´s been left to ValJar - so why would anyone expect him to start working now? Lazy slob. Lazy communist slob.

Sorry, I´ve run out of polite ways to show my complete disdain for this creep.

Barack Obama is the king of straw men, as nobody has ever insinuated that students and seniors and the middle class be required to pay down the entire deficit.

That the American electorate could not see through such bogus rhetoric shows that this country is really in trouble. The takers telling the makers how they should operate will not be sustainable for very long.

He was supposed to be making a few statements yesterday from the White House. Instead the room was filled with Obamaites clapping and cheering his every word. When will they realize they are supporting a demagogue?

Thank you BRAIN DEAD democrats for bringing us Obama II. Again as he talks about jobs and growth his policies that are now emerging after the election are killing jobs and growth. He is killing the coal and energy companbies while closing off more land to prevent drilling. One of our biggest job sectors and he´s shutting it down. Can you say Keystone Pipeline. Now Obamacare starts kicking in and companies are now announcing more layoffs. We knew this was coming but what did democrats vote for, contraceptives for women, college tuition, more food stamps, gay marriage and preventing illegal immigrants from being deported. These were their top priorities. Our country is dying, the middle east is burning and all you democrats still have your heads up your A**.

BIngo #12. This statement means that ´jobs and growth´ will not be addressed. Partly to mask the fact that other things, illegal immigration, are more important and another setup to blame Republicans when another area they have no clue about, fails.

NO, Americans turned their pathetic lives over to a lying politician hoping he will provide then a living at someone else´s expense; those evil wealthy people, the cause of their pathetic lives according to the WON.

Their minds are not in tune to issues like taxes, the debt or jobs nor do they care if action is taken on issues they know nothing about. They want to know what Obama is going to do for them or what entitlement he has in store for them next or what they can do without any consequences; their definition of freedom.

Let´s talk politics for a few minutes. As in winning the White House after two dismal showings by the Republican Party. The Chicago Democrat, who still sneaks smokes when no one´s looking, is president again in large part thanks to Republican errors. But in 2016, Democrats will nominate the tired old face of Hillary Clinton. [Snip] And Washington Republicans are doing just about everything they possibly can right now to ensure that Bill Clinton, the impeached Philanderer-in-Chief, will become the nation´s first First Man.

It´s great, isn´t it, to see Barack Obama, the ex-state senator, getting along so well with Vladimir Putin, the former Russian KGB chief? Things must be hunky-dory between the world´s top two nuclear powers, just as Obama promised during his secret whispers in Seoul last year. Why wouldn´t the two be smiling for the cameras? The obedient media is serving up the official Pablum it’s fed. [Snip] And Michelle Obama is touristing in Dublin with her daughters. Never mind sequester, all three get suites with Mrs. Obama´s costing American taxpayers $3,300 per night.

Hi, everybody. This Sunday is Father’s Day, and so I wanted to take a moment to talk about the most important job many of us will ever have — and that’s being a dad. Today we’re blessed to live in a world where technology allows us to connect instantly with just about anyone on the planet. But no matter how advanced we get, there will never be a substitute for the love and support and, most importantly, the presence of a parent in a child’s life. And in many ways, that’s uniquely true for fathers.

Sen. Lamar Alexander gives the Republican Party Weekly Remarks I’m United States Senator Lamar Alexander. This is the season for high school graduations. And more than two million of those graduating are going to college. Both Republicans and Democrats agree that college is the surest ticket to the middle class and we want to help by making it simpler and smarter to get a student loan. An amazing scene in Boston yesterday. Barack Obama returned to the city of one of his biggest triumphs (his 2004 Democrat convention speech) and one of his worst political spankings (the 2010 repudiation by Massachusetts Senate voters of his candidate). Those were tough days for the ex-state legislator, you may recall. Virginia voters had just rejected Obama´s choice for governor. New Jersey voters had just rejected Obama´s choice for governor. Once upon a time Barack Obama was known as a good speech-giver. That´s how he debuted in 2004 and why he almost always relies on a teleprompter; so he can concentrate on delivery, not content. Does he even know how often rote he sounds? Watch him on these day-trip photo ops. He´s a tired actor in a long-running Broadway play, reciting the same lines over and over with less and less conviction. For the summit with China´s new president, America´s first lady didn´t bother to go. [Snip] Turns out, Obama might sound good. But he´s actually an awful communicator.

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
