| WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A Florida judge has denied Republican Rep. Allen West’s request to impound ballots and voting machines, dealing a blow to West’s re-election chances. Circuit Judge David Crow on Friday said West’s request was “entirely premature.” The judge said vote-counting procedures are in place and being followed. Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy holds a lead in the race for the South Florida seat. An unofficial tally puts him above the threshold for a recount. The ruling was a defeat for West, but his side claimed victory anyway. An attorney for West says the campaign was simply trying

I was hoping West could get an honest recount. Still believe election was stolen, see yesterday´s Ulsterman´s report. Too many Repubs lost in states where they were ahead.

Please keep in mind that the Republicans MOVED West´s district into an extremely gerrymandered one that made his re-election very difficult...The elite Republicans ARE at war with the Conservatives.
Just as the RNC did NOT give a dime to help Michele Bachmann..not one dime!

In one of the counties in the district, one person decided to recount the early votes. West lost 4000 votes in that recount. (The first count had him up by 2000 votes, and the inexplicable recount put him down by 2000 votes. That, alone, should have been a good enough reason to impound everything.)

The RNC did not give any support to many of the candidates. I have not donated to the RNC since the Republicans forgot why they were sent to Washingon. They keep calling though. I donate directly to the candidate now. I felt bad when I heard they left Bachman to the wolves. Same for West.

Time to return to paper ballots and do away with early voting. Electronic voting machines can be hacked and early voting leads to fraud.

This is a futile pursuit, Col. West. Honest brokers are not in control of government at this time - especially in the judiciary. Re-direct your energies toward forming a new political party. The 2014 election cycle has already begun.

A number of people have sought to explain the IRS targeting of Tea Party, patriot, and 9/12 group applications -- as well as those from other conservative groups -- for "specialist team" treatment (mainly delays and excessive and inappropriate questions) in 2010 by pointing to the Citizens United decision that year allowing for unlimited, undisclosed fundraising by such groups. That´s the explanation IRS official Lois Lerner gave a week ago when she first revealed that the agency had improperly handled a slew of applications -- the political shorthand was a mistaken attempt to deal with a surge in applications.

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.
