After reading this article, it took every bit of willpower I have to avoid launching my fist into my display monitor. Why is it whenever I see the word ´wobbly´ the word ´GOP´ or ´Republicans´ is not far behind? ´47 percent (of exit poll respondents) want a (tax) increase only on incomes over $250,000´ So almost 50% of voters buy into the Dems talking blab memo about the ´rich not paying their fair share´.

And this little gem: ´By 53 to 38, voters still blame Bush for our economic woes.´ Thats it. I simply give up trying to educate these indoctrinated morons any further. We only have one way we´re ever going to win another election and that is to regain the narrative that we´ve been losing since the 1960´s. Or, we simply have to restrict voting to only those who pay income taxes. Hate to say it; but I truly believe we are all screwed, and the answers in these exit polls prove it.

The selfish, ignorant mob has spoken. They want freebies from the govt. Sobeit, let them have their so called freebies. I say to the republicans, stand aside and let Obama do what he wants. Maybe when these morons see just what getting freebies from the govt costs them, they´ll see that they come at a very high cost cause these freebies definitely aren´t free and that good old fashioned hard work and free enterprise might not be so bad compared to being enslaved to the government.

3 may be right. What good are the GOP talking points when we´re simply out numbered by the free loaders at the ballot box? Frustrated at some of my neighbors who are nice honest people, vote for Warren and obama. Then again, maybe they aren´t so nice and honest.

It is just good political sense to understand that if the wimpy Republicans allow the liberal Democrats to morph 12-20 million mostly poor low wage earning illegal aliens with limited educations into eventual new liberal Democrat voters, by way of "a path to citizenship" amnesty, that culminates with US voting rights for them, that the Republicans will never again have enough votes to win future national elections and will have committed political suicide.

The highly partisan liberal Democrats would never be calling for a massive "path to citizenship" amnesty with eventual US voting rights for 12-20 million illegal aliens if they ever believed that more then a very small percentage of the legalized aliens would ever have an epifinany and vote for conservative Republicans.

There is nothing more wobbly. They should change their name to the Weeble Party. Weebles wobble AND they fall down! The only thing they don´t do is stand up straight and win elections.

It is completely over, folks. The Democratic Party owns this country outright and everyone in it.

The only real question left is whether the GOP is massively incompetent or is in collusion with the statists and has started throwing elections. It probably doesn´t matter either way.

The Republican party is a political party...not anything else. It comes from an 80 year tradition of being the loyal oppsition, and when called upon to govern fails its adherents time after time...to expand its "majority" by moderating itself (i.e. moving left, making the extreme left look politically "mainstream.") Stop idolizing these politicians! Yes, Bush43 bears plenty of culpability for the collapse of his economy - largely by overheating housing and consumer for years with an easy money economic policy...no different that Clinton did - both learning the high political cost of tagging with any downturn from Bush41´s defeat. A significant Romney problem appears to have been the refusal of many on the right to vote for the imperfect "conservative" candidate, preferring defeat. They did the same for McCain in a "We´ll show you" snit, as some have proudly admitted here. Toss in bad intelligence, a moderated message, and some urban skullduggery, and Obama gets four more years. The better news is he lost 16 percent of his ´08 vote total...and the GOP may be wise to find out who these folks are, and why they failed to show.

Kudlow and his Wall Street friends are part of the problem. Remember, many of them backed NerØbama in 2008 when they thought it might be in their interest to further separate themselves from the less-wealthy middle-class masses. Those Pubs who are actually conservative should vote "present", let the tax rates on the ´rich´ increase, and let the Wall Streeters know that elections have consequences for them, too. It´s time for some pain.

To provide an argument against Kudlow´s pro-amnesty approach to the demolition of the GOP, I recall reading, just before the election, a poll that showed only 1% of voters considered the immigration issue important (think it was Gallup - or Pew). I found that disturbing as I think it very important but in a way opposite to Kudlow and his ilk, but in the spirit of what is sauce for the goose is sauce of the gander one could conclude that ....

Only 1% think we really need to hand out citizenship to illegals.
