David and Bathsheba

Original Article

Ever since the September 11 attack on our consulate and CIA station in Benghazi, “the dog in the night-time” of the scandal the media did its best to bury during the election campaign has been David Petraeus, the Iraq War commander turned spook-in-almost-chief. Throughout the orgy of misinformation, disinformation, finger-pointing, blame-shifting and general confusion, Petraeus remained adamantly silent, a hostage to fortune somewhere within the bowels of the CIA building in Langley. The one man who could have cut through the administration’s fog machine said nothing substantive as ambassador Chris Stevens and three others were laid to rest.

This story illustrates why all of a sudden General P came clean. He knows the truth behind Benghazi and could bury Obama with it.It could be Obama dirtdiggers who looked for blackmail to use on him.

Of course the rest of Obama´s stooges won´t have a problem lying and double talking before congress, unless they turn up dead somewhere.

It´s the Obama/Jarrett/Axelrod way. If someone doesn´t play ball or gets in their way, the Chicago thugs will destroy him/her in every way they can. Look what they did to Cain, the interview with Newt´s second wife. Go back further to when Obama was running for Senator. And the MSM protects their dirty work.

I can´t imagine after a lifetime of serving the country as he did, that he can be just thrown away or hidden. I always questioned why he would have agreed to this video story .... It just didn´t smell right. Now we know why. This administration is so corrupt, it astounding . Surely there are some decent democrats left in the senate that will start to wake up and realize they are being used just like anyone else that may get in the way. How long can they continue to stall. 4 years is a long time.

Bathsheba seems to be a well-connected Democrat, serving as host of a party at the DNC convention for wounded military, and as a "national security analyst," she may have been familiar with Clapper and Donilon. Judging from a clip of an interview, she seems quite friendly with Jon Stewart too. Things that cause one to say hmmmm.
Her "co-author," Vernon Loeb, did the majority of the research and actually writing of the book, I would bet.
I doubt this is all the O crowd has on the General. There are probably videos.

I´m willing to bet that this particular Bathsheba was working for Team O. Maybe they had something on her and blackmailed her into doing the David deed. This whole business is like something out of a Grisham novel -- like "The Firm."

Sounds as if Chicago on the Potomac is scummier than ever. If they did not have the tool of blackmail, they probably would not have a regime.

If Gen P was doing her in Afganistan, I can probably overlook that. She pulls a Monica under the desk (see story) and writes about him.
Lots of military "go native" when away from home and the wives know it.

However, he should have been smart enough to see she became an Axelrod operative.

blackmail only works if the victim is willing to pay to keep information secret. an extramartial affair is only a security risk if it can be used as a lever to gain access to classified material or decisions. When General Petraeus comes out and resigns, stating publicly that he had an affair, he has foiled the blackmail and shut down the security risk. I think he put a thumb in somebody´s eye who thought they could pressure him.

No. 4. To your point about any decent Democrats left. I considerd a similar thought during the Lewinsky saga: wasn´t there ANYONE in Bill Clinton´s inner circle of advisers or political appointees who would stand and speak out about the wrongs being carried out. I calculated that statistically, someone would step up. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
And, nothing has changed. The character of these people is numbing.

Reply 20 - Posted by: Janjan, 11/10/2012 8:47:16 AM     (No. 9004748)

There is another way to look at this and #14 is on to it. Jarrett no doubt is behind this (she is actually the President). If she told Petraeus ´either keep your mouth shut or we will out your little affair and destroy your career and your marriage´ it could be that he took Option B. He doesn´t need the gutless morons in Congress to subpoena him for this to come out. Stay tuned.

Reply 21 - Posted by: OhMy, 11/10/2012 8:52:25 AM     (No. 9004759)

So Obama/Jarrett knew before they appointed Petraeus that he had the affair and had the scandal card to play whenever needed. I have long had a suspicion that everyone holding an important office in the government has a scandal in their closet that is known in advance so that they can be removed when the king needs to. Petraeus should be subpoenaed and testify. He should testify because he knows things that need to come out - the affair/resignation is irrelevant.

Remember when the Arkansas troopers "committed suicide" -- just as the rumors of bubba clinton´s affairs surfaced?

Remember Vince Foster died without blood pooling round his body in that Washinton DC park? No one knows WHERE -- but suspect the White House.... Wonder where hubbel is these days? Anyone????

Sounds like WE´re back to the clinton crap....

The thing about blackmail is that it only works if the secret dirt remains secret. The power is in the THREAT of disclosure and the target can free himself from the blackmailer´s clutches any time he wants simply by disclosing it himself. Did Petraeus refuse to be blackmailed and free himself? Even honorable men may make mistakes, but honorable men own up to them. Perhaps that is what Gen. Petraeus just did.

Sure the Senate Intelligence (oxymoron) Committee will subpoena Petraeus to get to the bottom of the ´Benghazi thing´.

Numbers of reliable persons are saying he will testify - in either closed classiied hearing or an open one - voluntarily or under subpoena. Let´s see if the mendacious Obama administration plays the old "executive privilege" gambit. It will publicly display, once again, that they are very, very afraid.

Those who dismiss his testifying, that he´s "fallen on his sword", that this is just another tawdry affair story, ho hum, might want to do some more reading and listening.

Yes, indeed. " Get Smart" (before political correctness) needs to be revisited to get a grip on this tangled mess.

The CIA and the FBI=layers upon convoluted layers in their own organizations: Keeping each other in check and off balance with the knowledge gained from the security investigations. Mike Baker? Red Eye guest appearance? Soon?

Santa Obama, all I want for Christmas is a big fat tax refund for all these fraudulent security background clearances.

O&Co knew about this affair for months. Petraeus had been a thorn in their side for a long time. What this boils down to is blackmail.

This brings Sleeping with the Enemy to new levels. The White House and Washington has been compromised with the enemy. Allan West pointed out the number of communists in the Congress and he became a target and is out.

Reply 29 - Posted by: OhMy, 11/10/2012 9:23:21 AM     (No. 9004829)

Normal practice in a govt with integrity is to have background checks of personnel to see if they are clean and cannot be blackmailed. This regime looks for people who are dirty so that they can exercise the blackmail control over them. This is yet another example of this regime puts its own goals above the good of the nation as a whole.

Reading the ´must reads´ today, the phrase "low information voter" keeps ringing in my head. Even if info about Benghazi and Fast & Furious and the drone hadn´t been buried, we´d still be facing four more years of the most corrupt administration in history....the "47%" wouldn´t pay attention to what Obama did or didn´t do. It was only important that they were promised their free stuff paid for by the ´rich.´

I have a crazy conspiracy theory on this one.
Hillary hated petraeus, called him a liar at a senate hearing - ´suspension of disbelief´ about Iraq war.
This could be her double edged revenge. Out him and his horndog behavior, take over his position at CIA, run for president in 2016 with an enhanced bio.
Not too far fetched, in my opinion. But if she was involved in this matter, I suspect that the president zero insiders will manage to knock her off, maybe with photos of hillary and huma abedin, sharpening their cunnilingus skills...

agree with #14. They tried to use something for leverage - he has emptied their bag right onto the table in front of everybody, and has removed himself from their service. It must be the outcome they least wanted. He has punished Bathsheba, if it comes to that. Married with two children -very well, let them read about what happened. Sometimes humility turns the tables. Congress can still subpoena him if they want. I would go ahead and try. He is a patriot.

Number 3 has it right. This is exactly how these thugs operate and it is how things are done in Chicago and the State of Illinois. Since when has any democrat been "asked" to resign over an "affair"? Since when does having an "affair" render someone unable to testify? Does any of this make any sense? Other than Obama and his handlers are looking for someone to take the blame. Ask his good Chicago friends and convicted felons sitting in prison, Rezko & his Illinois idol, Blagojevich.

Obama will appoint a fellow traveler to replace Petraeus. All paper trails will be destroyed if they haven´t already. My guess is Petraeus and his entire family have been threatened. Benghazi will go away and Obama will have gotten away with murder. Expect more such scenarios. Its what dictators do.

Patreaus may very well be a hero for his handling of Iraq, but for love of country, he should have resigned before the election and before the last debate. Blow the thing up when there was still a chance to influence the election. But, he chose to wait until after the election. If Romney was elected perhaps this would not have come to light. Nothing heroic here, ladies and gentlemen. We can only hope he redeems himself and sings like a bird.

Also, my conspiracy theory re the Clintons, is that Little Joey Biden has another minor stroke, resigns and Hillary steps in as VP. This happens, I don´t know, a year from now and then that makes her the heir apparent and allows her to campaign for president for the next 3 years from the White House. No Dem primary, the first woman, blah, blah, blah. That was the deal that Billy made to support Zero to the degree he did.

Executive privilege would publicly prove that they are, once again, hiding something, #26. It does not, however, make them ´´very, very afraid.´´ They no longer have much to fear. And those who continue claiming that impeachment is the answer are either ignorant or naive.

Excellent article and conclusion. As his final public act, Petraeus should follow the example of Nathan Hale and "give it all up" for his country. One way or another, he will be permanently "terminated" by the Chicago gang. He simply knows too much. His best "insurance" is to tell all - now. Forget the pension, forget being disciplined, forget prison, forget all personal consequences. Take one for your country. Get on it, Chaffetz and Issa.

As others have pointed out you neutralize the blackmale threat by outing yourself. Which he did. I suspect he has been threatened. This threat will never go away.
Now may be the only chance for him to get the upper hand and protect his family by using the hearings to let everyone know that unexplained death or injury to a family member points right to the white house. Reread Valerie Jarret´s statementjust before the election "Your either with us or against us....."

I´ve said from day two of Benghazi-gate to my husband that Ambassador Stevens was Uriah, hung out to dry. Petraeus, however, is not King David. He is Joab - a tool of the administration and now we know why he was so impotent to stand against evil schemes and why CIA was doing their international dirty work. Just my take - sadly.

This seems wildly appropriate about now:

Well your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya
And she tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah...

(Yeah but) Baby I´ve been here before
I´ve seen this room and I´ve walked this floor, (You
know)
I used to live alone before I knew ya
And I´ve seen your flag on the marble arch
and love is not a victory march
It´s a cold and it´s a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah...

FTA: "...[One possibility is that] Petraeus confessed to his own “honey trap” and handed Valerie Jarrett, the Javert of Obama’s White House, a termination card, effective whenever she and the president cared to play it. And play it they did, right after the election and just before his testimony on the Hill. Well played, indeed.

I´ve been shouting this from the rooftops. IF this was, in fact, a "honey trap" -- then WHO set the honey trap?

Valerie Jarrett? or Vladimir Putin?

Bad as the corruption, incompetence, and even possible betrayal that were covered-up in Benghazi, it seems to me there is an enormous separate issue here:
The possible penetration, by enemy agents, of the highest level of our national security agency. Pun intended.

The degree of cynical corruption present in the Democrat party and particularly in Obama is truly breathtaking. And much of the public will likely not care about Benghazi (it´s just so darned difficult to spell that they´ll just ignore it).
Many Americans, obsessed with "getting theirs above all else", will continue to support their Sugar Daddy as he punishes job creators and intentionally diminishes America. America greatly deserves this perpetual enema at the hands of the Democrats. Many recipients even enjoy it...

It´s a purge.

Three generals, two admirals, one just ´cleared´ (Starivdis). That´s just the ones we know about so far.

It happens now and then. You hear a story so sad, so beautiful, so filled with loss and pain and grief and love, that it makes you cry. Really cry. Two years ago, I was making a grocery run for my family on Memorial Day when a story came on the local NPR station in Oxford, Miss. It was about a father whose son had been killed in action in northwest Afghanistan. The father was Paul Monti; his son was Sergeant Jared Monti. Jared died in Afghanistan trying to save the life of one of his men.

Why did British bystanders watch

The recent attack on a British soldier by assassins wielding meat cleavers while bystanders looked on raises the question: “Why didn’t anyone try to help the victim?” Because British citizens are prohibited from carrying objects that could be used as “offensive weapons.” While it is well known that Brits cannot carry guns, a lesser known law prohibits any subject of the Queen from carrying a knife of consequence, pepper spray or a stun gun.According to the United Kingdom government website, the online storehouse of British government regulations, it is illegal to:

In Dallas, Makeover for ´Big

DALLAS—It hasn´t been the best of years for Big Tex, the 52-foot-tall animatronic cowboy who has greeted visitors to the State Fair of Texas for decades. His mechanical hand, which waved from side to side as he bellowed "Hoooowdy folks," stopped working before the fair opened last September. His 60th birthday celebration, which was to include one of the country´s biggest marching bands, was rained out. Then catastrophe struck three days before the fair ended last October. After a suspected electrical short inside his size 70 cowboy boots, Mr. Tex went up in a burst of flames that devoured

Don’t be afraid to

What would help a lot right now, as the chilling reality of savagery engulfs us, would be a cultural green light to begin calling evil what it is, to begin calling it by its name, to stop dancing around demographics because of the fear someone, somewhere will take offense. There is always someone, somewhere looking for a reason to be offended. Jesse Jackson has fashioned a lucrative career out of being perpetually peeved. It works if you know how to play the game. And one of the reasons it works is that too many people who ought to know better allow themselves

White House silent about Holder
approving Fox News probe

The White House on Friday didn’t respond to a report that Attorney General Eric Holder authorized the seizure a Fox News reporter’s phone and email records — and with no daily press briefing scheduled Friday that could mean silence from the administration through the Memorial Day weekend. NBC News reported Thursday that Holder approved the search of Fox News reporter James Rosen’s private emails and phone records in a probe of leaked government information. That revelation came just as the president ordered Holder to review Justice Department guidelines for investigating reporters. White House officials have not yet responded

Can Obama Declare Peace?

President Obama’s speech at the National Defense University calling for an end to the war on terror forces the question of who gets to declare peace. The Left wing in our political debate has been agitating for some time to repeal the authorization to use military force that the Congress passed after 9/11. The President boarded the bandwagon yesterday. He vowed he would sign no laws designed to expand the mandate and declared outright that he looks forward “to engaging Congress and the American people in efforts to refine, and ultimately repeal” the congressional mandate to use force.

Ambassador Thomas Pickering:
There is no equal
Washington Post, by Jennifer Rubin    Original Article

Ambassador Thomas R. Pickering personifies the State Department mentality that so many conservatives find objectionable. He authored a Global Zero report arguing for unilateral disarmament and then runs to his co-author Chuck Hagel’s defense, saying it doesn’t say what it plainly does. He gets selected for a critical State Department review of Benghazi, doesn’t interview the secretary or high-level advisers, and writes a report identifying no one in particular. He famously replied that it was fine to leave out higher-ups because “because in fact we knew where the responsibility rested.” In a milieu where double-talk, evasion

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. Marimow broke earlier this week. The memo’s a masterpiece, too. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling
