| The biographer for resigning CIA Director David Petraeus is under FBI investigation for improperly trying to access his email and possibly gaining access to classified information, law enforcement officials told NBC News on Friday. Paula Broadwell is the author of Petraeus' biography, "All In." She had extensive access to Petraeus in Afghanistan and has given numerous television interviews speaking about him. Petraeus resigned Friday, citing an extramarital affair. The woman involved was not identified.

An article in another publication reported that the FBI had found out about Petraeus's affair (which was said to have occurred a year ago) during the course of another investigation. This may have been that investigation.

FTA:
Broadwell's Twitter account describes her as a national security analyst and Army veteran. A biography on her website says she is married to a radiologist and has two children, both boys. The family lives in Charlotte, N.C. The biography says she is a West Point graduate and a research associate at Harvard University's Center for Public Leadership and a doctoral candidate in the Department of War Studies at King's College London.

All in? Too funny.
I have to wonder if this was Hillary's ultimate revenge? And will she, at great personal sacrifice, be willing to take over the CIA, to boost her credentials for 2016??

Holder's FBI? If they were told to find evidence they were going to.
And, who knows, it could even be real evidence. Does that matter in America now?
So far it sounds like a classic. Magically Petraeus won't testify, Kerry immediately decides he needn't, and this women - obviously no fool - is reminded they are watching her too.

So, Ms Broadwell was trying to access the general's email?
If I remember spycraft jargon correctly, this is called a "honey trap."
Question: Whom was Paula Broadwell working for?
Putin? Axelrod? Hillary?

Do people at the highest levels of government really have affairs outside of marriage? I am shocked, next we will hear about politians from NJ and then the secret service....naw, only kidding.
Maybe we need an expert to find out for sure. Maybe Hillary will take the job, she has the experience.

FBI? Lemme see .. who could it be that oversees them? Could it be .. Satan? No, Eric Holder.
Someone had better get documented testimony from Petreus, Broadwell, and anyone else who may have some knowledge of what is to be suppressed - before they become "unavailable".

Here's a youtube feature of Broadwell speaking at her alma mater (U of Denver) just last month. Interestingly she is asked a question about Benghazi.
She is the mother of 2 young children. And yes, she was "embedded" with the General. Sick people.
I wonder if Petraus got the CIA job because the admin knew they could keep him in line with this little secret. Ramona (the Pest)

Pride goeth before the fall!
Even if Petraeus was set up for this, he voluntarily submitted. His integrity challenged.
I don't doubt Obama or Hillary could easily have placed temptation before him, yet he made the choice.
I imagine this highly regarded General wished he had retired earlier, now enjoying his retirement with the wife of his youth!
God's way is still the best way!
He needs to repent, seek restoration for his marriage. I pray for both of them that they are able to fully forgive, freely forget.
If they have children/grandchildren, may they learn to hold them closer, appreciate the blessigs God has given them.
Repentence is necessary, forgiveness is a choice that needs to be important for a lasting life together.
I pray for this man and his wife.
Power corrupts!
I also pray for the woman involved. Whatever her intentions were, she hurt and may have destroyed a long-lasting relationship through her needless need for attention!
Whoever initiated this relationship is responsible, but the follower also proves inability to stand up to temptation.
They both need God!
Pray for these people who are suffering the consequences of their actions.
Many in the media are also sinful and need to search their conscience. They just "did not" get caught!
Pray for America! This is life today, thanks to the liberals.
Bill Clinton paved the way for acceptable sinfulness now called indescretions!
God's Love/Grace ever covers all sin when we repent and seek His will/way through His Son, Jesus Christ, our only salvation!
A reminder to everyone reading this: Satan condemns - The Holy Spirit convicts! There is hope for all sinners, which we once were, but now saved, welcomed into God's eternal Kingdom.
They both need God, as do all of US!

I once heard a Christian couple on the radio talk about how the only people allowed into politics all had skeletons in their closet. They said good, clean people were seldom accepted by either party because then there´d be no way to keep control over them. Even though the couple was talking about local politics, I think they were onto something.

Members of Congress grilled former IRS Acting Commissioner Steven Miller on Capitol Hill Friday morning, in an attempt to get answers on the IRS´ inappropriate targeting of conservative-sounding groups that were applying for tax-exempt status. Republicans and Democrats on the House Ways and Means Committee both said that Miller and other IRS officials should have alerted Congress in testimony last year that they knew the agency was giving extra scrutiny to conservative and Tea Party groups.

President Obama announced Wednesday that acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller would resign in the wake of the agency scandal in which conservative groups were targeted -- though Miller was apparently set to step down anyway. An official close to Miller told Fox News, shortly after Obama´s brief announcement, that the IRS chief was "set to resign the position of acting commission as of early June." He was planning to leave the IRS entirely a "couple of months later, regardless of the current controversy," the source said. These details were not mentioned by the president

The director of the Office of Rulings and Agreements, which oversees the determinatons of tax-exempt organizations, is a donor to Barack Obama. Holly Paz donated $2,000 to Obama’s 2008 campaign, according to Open Secrets, which maintains a database of individual political donations. An inspector general’s report released yesterday concluded that the IRS improperly targeted Tea Party and other conservative groups for undue scrutiny, and Paz heads the office in which the wrongdoing is said to have occurred. National Review Online reported earlier today that agency officials are currently copying the hard drives of every employee on Paz’s watch.

WASHINGTON – State Department officials repeatedly objected to -- and tried to water down -- references to Al Qaeda and prior security warnings in Libya in the Obama administration´s initial internal story-line on the Benghazi terror attack, according to dozens of emails and notes released by the White House late Wednesday. The documents were released under pressure after whistle-blowers testified on the Hill and some email excerpts leaked to the media last week. The 100-page file showed that State Department officials were even more heavily involved in editing the "talking points" than was previously known.

"One of the central goals" of President Obama´s administration, Bloomberg´s Margaret Carlson helpfully informs us, "is to rebuild faith in the federal government." A good example is this passage from the president´s May 5 commencement speech at Ohio State University: Unfortunately, you´ve grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that´s at the root of all our problems; some of these same voices also doing their best to gum up the works. (Snip)Where have we heard that before? Oh yes, it was on another college campus:

Watching President Obama trying to dodge raindrops and responsibility yesterday reminded me of the moment when Dorothy pulls back the curtain and discovers that the Wizard of Oz is “just a man.” Stripped of his spell of mystery and power, the wizard is worse than mortal. He’s a fake. So it was with Obama in the Rose Garden. His performance was tired and trite, ordinary to the point of dull. His veneer of passion was so transparent that you could see him trying to summon his old-time magic by pushing the buttons

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

On Thursday´s NBC Today, in a desperate attempt to deflect from the scandals engulfing the Obama administration, co-host Savannah Guthrie wondered: "I read a headline yesterday that said Republicans see blood in the water. That they see a president who´s very vulnerable politically. Is there a danger that they will overreach?" Chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd agreed with the slanted premise: "There is. I mean, that´s what happened to Republicans in 1998 with Bill Clinton.

President Obama’s press conference in the rain was not a success, if by success, his supporters would mean an event which convinces anyone who doesn’t work for him that he’s getting ahead of the scandal deluge. The sight of a Marine holding an umbrella over his head only added to the weirdness of the event. So what did we learn? 1. He has full confidence in Attorney General Eric Holder, the man who purportedly recused himself (whenever) without putting it in writing (whatever). When asked about the untrammeled snooping on Associated Press reporters and editors,

Appearing on Laura Ingraham‘s radio show this afternoon, Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume suggested some Republicans were “stupid” to consider impeachment of President Obama a viable response to the ongoing scandals regarding the Benghazi attacks, the IRS targeting of conservative groups, and the Justice Department secret seizure of AP phone records. Likely referring to some GOP lawmakers, including Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) who has put impeachment on the table as an option for handling the Benghazi fallout, Ingraham asked Hume to comment on how some Republican leaders have “ran to the microphone” to suggest removal
