Not that I expect an explanation that rings true, but how can he NOT testify? A man who is a general knows that he's ''on call'' 24/7.

The rotting DC cesspool is stinking more over this decision. I really don't believe this is possible...but, who am I?

What good would the testimony of Petraeus be?

He has already told the nation that he is a deceitful person who would lie in order to satisfy his own desires.

A shame... an entire career .. ends in disgrace.

Now.. he is just another Obama tool.

No character General. You have no character sir.

I just read in Caroline Glick's article, ''But lucky for him [Obama], the Benghazi debacle was small enough for the media to hide from the electorate. Sure a US ambassador and three others were murdered. But four is not a very large number. And it was over in a day.''

Oy! May the truth come out for all the world to see.

Bet the farm on this - - in fact, bet two farms - - - -

Petraeus will NEVER testify - - even if they hold hearings every day until Doomsday - - which come to think of it isn't as far off as it used to be.

Nothing significant was going to happen anyway. Not with John F. Kerry running the Senate investigation.

Also - the story is young - someone seems to have had David by the gonads. That hurts.

I thought something was wrong the day he went to work for Obama. His wife promptly got a very nice job too.

The House investigation - even though honest - will be futile too.

Please, please friends - - please don't even begin to think that Petraeus had a sexual dalliance. He didn't say he did - - so why would any of us think he did?

"Affair" is a very, very broad term - - it can mean just about anything. And in this case - - it means something which none of us are evil enough to contemplate.

Zippy is pro-abortion and black - - plus he just got reelected president by thoroughly dumbed-down voters. He'll skate away better than Dorothy Hamill in her prime.

okay - they threatened him that his ''affair'' would be revealed. So he resigns and spills his own beans. Now it's the horse's head and the ''nice family you got there'' intimidation. And he refuses to testify.

Testify. Funny - the origin of that word supposedly is from ancient Rome. The men would put their hands on their testicles when they took an oath. There appears to be a lot of that testicle grabbing in DC...

Time for the parents/loved ones of the fallen to be heard! They deserve the truth, sadly, I doubt they will get it from this White House!

We need a valiant reporter who seeks the truth!

America sat back, did not care about their fellow-Americans who suffered/died for our freedom. Obama denied US what our Constitution provides! All in an election year.

The liberal media "selectively" reported whatever helped Obama win. How does "Revenge" sound!

This country has not lived up to our reputation of a land of the free, home of the brave. We were denied truth/freedom. The brave were denied their "day in court" before we as a country went to the polls, deciding our future on denial of the past month where Obama/Hillary both lied to US. Bill Clinton set the benchmark and they just "followed" his example.

We need a thorough investigation!

We were sold a bill of goods, not honest/true!

Nothing new from the last four years, yet this country "bought" the lies. We all will suffer the consequences of an ill-informed society.

God's Word is our only safeguard. He will make all things good to "those" who call upon His Name, live His way, place our faith/trust/confidence in Him alone.

Islam is not the religion of peace.

Jesus said before He left the earth, they hated Me, they will hate you. The Peace I give is not of this world. His Kingdom will reign forever! There will be no war/fear. No one who will succeed in usurping His power. Amen

America was fooled by Obama the first time, shame on him. We were fooled again, shame on US! That is what we are experiencing.

Most of us, as we age, have little to fear other than for family, particularly our children. Strange but true. Who cares about an affair, everyone has those, regardless how foolish and futile they are in retrospect. Self looses value. Family is the only thing that matters, has value. And that is probably, I suspect, the key to the bizarre Petraeus behavior.

The revelation that the government’s talking points in the wake of the Benghazi attacks were edited to reflect the concerns of a variety of federal agencies has sparked a firestorm of controversy in recent weeks. Some early reports on that email exchange created the erroneous impression that the White House was more deferential to the concerns of State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland, who sought to remove from those talking points a variety of references suggesting the Benghazi attack was the result of a coordinated act of terror. The actual interagency email exchange, released by the Obama administration on Wednesday,

DENVER — Colorado sheriffs upset with gun restrictions adopted in the aftermath of last year’s mass shootings filed a federal lawsuit Friday, challenging the regulations as unconstitutional. The lawsuit involves sheriffs from 54 of Colorado’s 64 counties, most representing rural, gun-friendly areas of the state. The sheriffs say the new state laws violate Second Amendment protections that guarantee the right to keep and bear arms. Opponents are criticizing the lawsuit as political maneuvering. The filing targets Colorado laws that limit the size of ammunition magazines and expand background checks. The regulations

WASHINGTON — Congressional Republicans, not resting with the Internal Revenue Service scandal, are moving to broaden the matter to an array of tax malfeasances and “intimidation tactics” they hope will ensnare the White House. Republican charges range from the clearly questionable to the seemingly specious, and they grow by the day. On Friday, lawmakers sought to tie the I.R.S. matter to the implementation of President Obama’s health care law, which will rely heavily on the agency. Whether they succeed holds significant ramifications for Mr. Obama,

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services says it wants as many as 20 percent of its workers to "telework," use an "alternative work schedule," or do both, in order to "reduce green house gas emissions," decrease "employee stress," and give these government workers more time for "planning and preparing healthy meals." So says one of the HHS "performance measures" detailed in an appendix to the department´s latest strategic plan. HHS´s performance measure "4.D.05" says: "Increase the percent employees on telework or on Alternative Work Schedule." Telework means working from home via phone and computer.

It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries.
