In an effort to boost its bottom line, PepsiCo (PEP) management is reportedly contemplating laying off about 4,000 workers and putting a stop to its 401(k) match.

According to the New York Post, a final decision on these cost-cutting moves could be made in days.

By eliminating its relatively generous 401(k) match, the food and beverage company would save $75 million immediately, the paper reported. PepsiCo could cut the match for employees who are senior enough to be eligible for the pension.

How sad is it that they wouldn't do this before the election for fear of retribution...

Excluding any Romney voters working for these companies, I am happy for the rest of them.

This is just the beginning of the misery caused by electing a domestic enemy. A year or two from now millions who voted for Obama will have their eyes opened to how bad they screwed up.

Sadly. I don't think most O voters will ever make the connection. Wait for it... They will blame the "obstructionist" R Congress for not making the rich pay their "fair share". We have dumbed down the population enough to never see light again.

Lay off those that support Obama and his agenda first!

The Left is already in full force on Twitter stating these business owners are 'UnAmerican' for laying off employee's because of Obama's reelection. They will never blame Obama or his policy's for this happening.

They can sit there and text away on Twitter til their fingers fall off. People should have taken reality to the polls, and left the rhetoric at home. Having a snarky one-liner or wearing your ObamaBiden t-shirt isn't going to change facts my lefty friends.

And Altas shrugged.

#3, me too. Guess we are considered "mean." I say God bless all those American business owners who have hung on as long as they did. Whenever we see "Closing - Going Out of Business" signs, I am so sad. Especially Romney voters whose last hope to save the business was a Republican victory this week. I hope those O voters enjoy the unemployment line.

Don't sign on to any "compromise". Vote "present" and let the Dems own this 100 percent.

Evey Republican, especially in the Senate should vote "Present" on every spending bill Don't vote against it and allow the demonrats to say you are an obstructionist.

Simply make them own it At every opportunity say "They own it."

And so it begins - a few here, a few more there, and the number is going to keep growing. I agree with the "present" votes - this is what they wanted, and we should do everything we can to "let them have it" (think Laurel and Hardy)

It is possible to lay off more Obama voters only if management paid attention during the campaign and took notes. I remember reading about a small business owner after the 2008 election who knew he had to downsize and did it by strolling through the parking lot and making a list of the cars with Obama stickers. He then approached those employees with pink slips and wished them well. That is probably why we say so few Obama stickers this election.

Notice in all these reports, in either the headline, byline or first sentence, the phrasing is always "Corp. Kills jobs for bottom line." Demonization

Wow,the list of layoffs is getting longer and longer. We were warned this was coming and the people voted Obama back in anyway. At least those fools will be suffering right along with everyone else. I´m waiting for the coal layoffs in PA...talk about cutting your own throat!
