| On Friday, author and former Bush speechwriter David Frum joined the Morning Joe panel, where he shared his blunt assessment of the current GOP. When asked who can lead the Republican party now, Frum responded that he believes the Republican party is “a party of followership:” The problem with the Republican leaders is that they’re cowards, not that they’re fundamentally mistaken. The real locus of the problem is the Republican activist base and the Republican donor base. They went apocalyptic over the past four years, and that was exploited by a lot of people in the conservative world.

Comments: "Republicans" like him and Schmidt are just not helpful to our cause. They get used and abused by those at MessNBC and the rest of them and they aren't smart enough to figure it out.

David Frum is a nasty, jealous guy who thinks he is smarter than the likes of Levin and spends his life trying to prove his liberal bone fides. He just can't stand the fact that so many smart conservatives are doing so well as talk show hosts and he never got his.

Annnnd Frum is so in tune with conservatives, and cares about us so much he goes on a network that loathes conservatives. And on a show that glorifies cowardly backstabbers like Schmidt and Nicole Wallace. Yeah, Frum has his finger on the pulse of the Republican Party.

I watched Hannity the next day after the election. He was laughing it up with Juan Williams, Coulter, Buchanan. We who care so much about our country were crushed. To these people it is entertainment and job security. It really made me mad the way he was laughing constantly.
I listened to Mark Levin. He seemed really upset and sets out a plan of what we need to do. Don't let these media people play with your emotions.
Allan West gone??? Grayson back??? Liawatha Warren in??

Frum is a jerk weed w/o credibility. Read one of his article recently claiming our businesses are NOT being over-regulated. No evidence offered for that. I say look at the EPA rules implemented just this year and you'll see over-regulation.

Drudge was similarly denounced, as was Rush. Glad to know the Democrats are trying to save us from Fox, Rush, and Drudge. /s
The fact they immediately start in on these three is a sign to us of who is actually somewhat effective

Actually, #11, Frum is right. Buh, bye GOP. Go ahead and be Democrat lite. We're outta here. The nation will not support two liberal parties. The GOP will be supplanted by the new political party, just as it supplanted the Whigs.

Don't like Dave Frum at all, but I must admit I felt something akin to being exploited or betrayed. I watch FOX exclusively and everyone there was predicting a Romney win: Dick Morris, Sean Hannity, Rush, Charles Krauthammer, Michael Barone, etc. So, election night I watched in absolute abject horror as nothing they had indicated was coming to pass! Not only did Romney not win, he didn't win a single battleground state except North Carolina! I still can't wrap my mind around it!

Frum is right about the fact that Republican's have been cowards.
Problem is that Romney was one of them. We tend to shoot our courageous types, like West and Gingrich. They have their faults, but they are fearless and articulate. Romney is neither of those things.
Laura Ingraham is correct when she says that Romney did not connect with voters. He connected with Republicans, but he never went out of his way to challenge the thinking of anyone outside the party.

I agree with Frum. Except it is our "Republican" leaders that have lied to us. I've been a Repbulican my whole life and have always been skeptical of third parties. I think it is now time.
We need a party that is focused ONLY on the Constitution. Small, limited government with the requirement for term limits. Let the churches focus on our culture. They will be much more effective at that anyhow.

The Senate voted down an amendment to the upper chamber´s immigration bill proposed by Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) that would require a full biometric visa tracking system placed at every land, sea, and air port of entry in the United States before legalized immigrants could receive green cards. The measure, which was also called for by the 9/11 Commission in the wake of the 2001 terrorist attacks, would establish a biometric exit-entry system. Gang of Eight member Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) told Breitbart News last week

The immigration reform bill drawn up by the Senate Gang of 8 would boost the economy and lower the deficit, the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office says in a report out today. The newly released, and highly anticipated, report from the government’s nonpartisan bookkeeper comes as the Senate debates the bipartisan immigration legislation offered by the Gang of 8 and the House moves forward on a more piecemeal approach. The report, “The Economic Impact of S. 744, the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act,” says overall the legislation

NEW YORK — The New York Police Department´s widespread spying programs directed at Muslims have undermined free worship by innocent people and should be declared unconstitutional, religious leaders and civil rights advocates said Tuesday after the filing of a federal lawsuit. "Our mosque should be an open, religious and spiritual sanctuary, but NYPD spying has turned it into a place of suspicion and censorship," Hamid Hassan Raza, an imam named as a plaintiff, told a rally outside police headquarters shortly after the suit was filed in federal court in Brooklyn.

Mixed-race people are more likely to be considered black by conservatives, who are subconsciously attempting to “justify racial divisions,” said the authors of a new government-funded study. The report, originally released earlier this month, has begun attracting criticism from those who see political bias in the results. The study was conducted by graduate students and faculty in the psychology department of New York University. Researchers asked participants to look at pictures of mixed-race people and say whether they

The Clintons are getting the old band back together again for one last geriatric tour. Hillary 2016. Because 22 years of Clintons dominating the Beltway isn’t enough. Her campaign slogan: “Vote for me. I am a woman. What difference does it make?” The Draft Hillary movement is really taking off. There hasn’t been this much excitement behind a Draft Hillary movement since, well, the last time there was a Draft Hillary movement. Remember that? Back in 2008? When she was the “inevitable nominee?” She was the “most electable” Democrat running? She was the only one who

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. And Sarah blasted him on Twitter as a bully. Is that, is it, is he a bully? Is he a bad, what is he?

Jeb Bush says he’s not worried that his work toward comprehensive immigration reform and his ties to the GOP establishment will alienate conservatives and negatively impact a potential 2016 presidential campaign, referring to critics as “the chirpers.” “If I decide to run for office again, it will be based on what I believe, and it will be based on my record,” the former Florida governor said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody. “And that record was one of solving problems completely from a conservative prospective.” Bush (R) pointed to his conservative

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

It is understood that a contingency plan is in place for the unlikely event that an attempt would be made on the President’s life. The Secret Service also have diplomatic immunity which will allow them to shoot to kill a would-be assassin without fear of prosecution. As part of the “evacuation route” plan, they would be able to spirit the President by chopper to one of the carriers where a jet is on standby to take him back to the United States.
