| Based on the dismal state of the union and after four years of doing exactly what Rush Limbaugh said he hoped that he would do, by any thinking person's standards President Barack Obama has indeed "failed." Yet, despite the catastrophe, on Election Day the American people inexplicably invited the President to spend the next four years beating the dead horse that he killed during his first term. The next day, after being MIA for months, Speaker of the House John Boehner crawled out of the tanning bed long enough to publicly assure the President

Boehner does not have the nads or spine to stand up to the socialist Democrat Party or Obama's agenda to turn America into a third-world cesspool. Only revolution or some catastrophic event can turn this mess around. Short of that, America is done.

Boehner makes far more sense than this columnist. This country has always been run best by people sitting down and talking with one another. Republicans will never get anywhere by being refuseniks. It may make for fun reading, but it is a terrible idea for our children and grandchildren.

I am writing my congress critters and requesting they let us fall off of that imaginary Fiscal Cliff.
That is the fastest way to expose the democrat lies about the "Bush tax cuts for the rich". When the sheep see how much they were saving under Bush's tax cuts, they should wake up to the fact that congressional liberals are deceptive.
Unfortunately, the republicans do not have the leaders required to do this.

#3, by sitting down and talking about things, we have gotten to where we are. Bipartisanship? Lemme explain bipartisanship........ Conservatives believe that child molesters need be incarcerated forever as we understand the incredibly high recidivism rate. Liberals think that child molesters need counseling and to be released back into society.
Bipartisanship has resulted in laws that........provide counseling and release the predators back into society.
I hope that every single pathology that is the direct result of liberalism haunts you the rest of your life.
But of course as a liberal, you'd NEVER live in an area impacted by YOUR policies. But guess what? With Tuesday's election? NOWHERE is safe.

Let the all the tax rates expire, let the sequestration kick in. No more phoney baloney negotiations up to the 11th hour, only to dream up another rube goldberg, kick of the can, to another deadline. Obama owns this mess. Let him deal with it. the whole charade of republican opposition makes me want to puke.

Great idea, #4. I will also write my congresscritters and tell them to step aside, let the falling begin. Why keep us in suspense, give the Demonrats everything they want and call it a day. After all, the country as we know it ceased to exist as of Nov. 6, 2012, there will be no revival.

#3 What an appropriate screen name. Rabbits are timid teriffied creatures. The idea that you can sit down and be bi-partisan with Democrats (Socialists) is ludicrous. By bi-partisan, Zippy means "give me everything I want". He doesn't budge an inch on his ideas. If he can't get them through the legislative process he pouts and then issues Executive Orders which flout the Constitution. And Bohener does nothing. The recent election had the country split almost exactly right down the middle. How does Harry Reid interpret that?! He says Zippy has a "Mandate" to do what ever he wants and he is going to rig the system to eliminate the one weapon still available to Conservatives to slow the ultimate fiscal destruction of our country, the fillibuster. Please explain to me how that is bi-partisan. You what is a real "terrible idea for out children and grandchildren"? How about each and every one of them being saddled with a $ 200,000 bill to pay for Zippy's socialist pipe dreams on the day they're born.

Agree, let the system crash because that is the only way the US can be saved. We have not been a Capitalistic society in decades or a true Republic. We are a hybrid of capitalism with healthy doses of socialism, statism, and marxism. Crashing the system will hurt like hell and may very well fracture the US. The altenative is to slowly become at best socialist Europe at worst a banana republic with marxist policies.

This is the second satirical column today suggesting that the GOP should do exactly what Obama wants and let HIM take the hits for the excrement that will hit our fan the way it hit Greece's fan.
There is some merit to the idea, because if it's actually done, only Democrats will be blamed for the collapse. We'll have to suffer through it but the futility of socialism will actually be realized by those who advocate it. When a country collapses, leaders face the consequences. Getting out of Obama's way will ensure this won't happen again.
Unfortunately, massive destruction and deprivation may have to come first. But we expect that anyway with O's second term, so let's get it over with.

So you give them all they want and crash the system to show them this is the wrong path. If they weren't taught the correct path, why do you think the crash will educate them. I think all it will do is further weaken America and cause them to go feral. Like I ask my armed up neighbors, how many people are you going to shoot? NO! Those who oppose the "vote present" approach: what do you propose? Be specific.
Fight to the "end"? You will lose - NerØbama has demonstrated his ability to go around Congress. Whatever small victories you may win will be blamed for the consequences that are inevitable at this point. You will be blamed.
Compromise? You will not get a result that will stop the inevitable. Harry Reid will see to that. You will only sign on to a doomed solution. You will be blamed.
You will stop nothing. You will only be blamed.
So what is your solution? Be specific. The clock is ticking.

"Well, what Boehner may not have anticipated is that come January working together on solutions will likely include figuring out how to prevent the President's ardent supporters from melting down when they realize that voting for him did not exempt them from the middle class tax increase that's due to hit hard when the Bush-era tax cuts expire."
Most of Obama's voters don't pay income taxes, why would they be concerned about an income tax increase?

An exasperated Rep. Pat Tiberi on Friday asked the former acting chief of the IRS to explain to Congress why he would move the leader of the division that targeted conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status to a branch that is overseeing one of the most partisan issues of recent memory — President Obama’s health care law. “Because she’s a superb civil servant, sir,” Steven Miller, who resigned under duress last week, told the Ohio Republican at a hearing before the House Committee on Ways and Means. The transfer of Sarah Hall Ingram to the helm

I was on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show last night, talking about the Benghazi talking point emails. Near the end of the segment, Hugh asked whether I thought the presidential election might have turned out differently if Obama and Clinton had not succeeded in covering up the truth about Benghazi. I was skeptical. The story of the election, I said, was the Obama campaign’s ability to turn out, once again, a large majority of the low-information voters who swept Obama into office in 2008. Few of those low-information voters, I said, would either have understood, or cared about, Benghazi

As tax collector for the nation’s second-largest state, I know it’s a necessary function — from the fire station to the space station, nothing government does is possible without taxes. But it’s sure no path to popularity. Tax collectors have had a rotten reputation since biblical times. For all the services and all the people that depend on it, our work has to be viewed as fair and even-handed. It’s a basic bond of trust, and once that trust is lost, it’s hard to get back. Our entire nation was born when the colonists decided Britain’s taxes were unfair

While many Democrats have joined Republicans in public shaming of the Internal Revenue Service for singling out conservative groups, others say the scandal is just a byproduct of muddied rules about nonprofits and political activity in the wake of the Citizens United ruling — and they’re hoping that they can steer the conversation from outrage over political targeting to fuel for campaign finance reform. But senior Dems may have much more than an opportunity to try to turn scandal to their advantage: they may have a degree of culpability as one especially vocal proponent

The Internal Revenue Service´s watchdog told top Treasury officials around June 2012 he was investigating allegations the tax agency had targeted conservative groups, for the first time indicating that Obama administration officials were aware of the explosive matter in the midst of the president´s re-election campaign. The disclosure to the Treasury general counsel and the deputy secretary was a cursory one, according to J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration. He said he didn´t reveal conclusions of the probe, which was in its early stages, and his disclosure came as part

In today’s hearing before the House Ways and Means Committee, outgoing not-really-fired commissioner Steven Miller admitted that a high-ranking member of the Internal Revenue Service planted the question that led to the agency’s apology for targeting conservatives. [IRS official] Lerner disclosed the information last Friday while speaking at a tax conference organized by the American Bar Association. Asked about the incident, she said only that she answered honestly a question that was posed to her. The question, however, was posed to Lerner by Celia Roady, a Washington, D.C. tax lawyer who sits

Of course the president deserves some of the blame. Yes, it’s extremely unlikely he ordered the IRS to discriminate against tea-party, pro-life, or Jewish groups opposed to his agenda (though why anyone should take his word for it is beyond me). And his outrage now — however convenient — is appreciated. But when people he views as his “enemies” complained about a politicized IRS, what did he do? Nothing. Imagine for a moment if black civil-rights organizations, gay groups, or teachers’ unions loudly complained to members of Congress and the press that the IRS was discriminating against them.

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

The White House on Wednesday released 94 pages of emails between top administration and intelligence officials who helped shape the talking points about the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, that the CIA would provide to policymakers in both the legislative and executive branches. The documents, first reported by THE WEEKLY STANDARD in articles here and here, directly contradict claims by White House press secretary Jay Carney and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that the revisions of those talking points were driven by the intelligence community and show heavy input from top Obama administration officials, particularly those at the State Department.

President Obama’s press conference in the rain was not a success, if by success, his supporters would mean an event which convinces anyone who doesn’t work for him that he’s getting ahead of the scandal deluge. The sight of a Marine holding an umbrella over his head only added to the weirdness of the event. So what did we learn? 1. He has full confidence in Attorney General Eric Holder, the man who purportedly recused himself (whenever) without putting it in writing (whatever). “I look forward to taking some questions at tomorrow’s press conference,” President Obama said last night, after announcing the resignation of the acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller. The president scheduled a noon press conference today with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in honor of his visit. Reporters, however, found themselves waiting outside in the rain for Obama, who was 47 minutes late. Only New York Times reporter Mark Landler had an umbrella.
