Why Accept Tyranny and Ruin?
American Thinker, by J. Robert Smith

On Election Day, Rush Limbaugh advanced an intriguing notion given him by a friend. Rush fancied the idea "a fascinating little think piece." Here's the idea, per Rush: "If the Republicans win, they get to select the half of the country they want and the Democrats get the other half. You split this country right down the middle. Republicans pick the side they want; the Democrats get the other side. We have Mitt; they have Obama. You can live wherever you want to live. You choose which side you want to live in." He [Rush's friend] said, "The

If the day comes they start confiscating guns, it might be very an idea worth considering.

Split off the east and left coasts and the major metro ares like Chi-town, New Orleans, Detroit, St. Louis, KC, leave us the middle of America. Let them live with the fruits their suicidal policies. Of course, we would have to be like Switzerland and require all adults to have a weapon and know how to use it.

This idea does not work for me. Divide it into 3 parts if it is to be divided. Democrats on the left, Republicans in the center, and Conservatives on the right. The author said, ''Conservative America, the loser in the recent election...'' No. Conservative America lost before the election. If the Republican party has not wakened up now to the reason so many of the voters they had counted on did not vote, there's not much hope that they ever will.

That's no problem. We already pretty much have have that covered. A couple of days on the firing range for a few of us and we'll be ready.

For decades the liberal mantra has been that it is better to divorce than stay in a bad marriage just for the sake of the children. So I say do it for the children, let's get a divorce!

The article starts with the postulation then dismisses it, but then asks "what will be the tipping point?."
I, personally, am tipped. But I live in Peoples Republic of California. I have an idea that the grand schemes of the Dems here are going to turn out a little different than they think. The PR propaganda started on day one locally and nationally but the Overton Window is going to snap. The divide is real and getting wider.

If only the states had been allowed to keep their rights. Then you could move to the state that matched your political and personal beliefs. States with destructive policies would bring down their state, not the entire country.

#11 that's why the states had to be dominated by the federal govt. If you have freedom of choice, their system will not work. That's why Cuba, North Korea, East Germanu, and the USSR never let people leave.

The split is already under way, but not along state lines. The voting district map should be the starting point of discussion. There is no way that leftwingers should get the bulk of a state like California or New York, where a small area controls a much larger non-leftwing area. I hope it is done peacefully, but the ball in in the liberal court. They are the ones stoking hatred and violence.

The 2012 election, probably, although the coming troubles won't be as peaceful, clean or neat as the author seems to envision.

My family has started asking some questions of those with whom they do business - Are you a conservative or liberal? Are you happy at the outcome of this election?

Armed with the response, my family (in VA, NC, CO, OH and NY)is deciding whether or not those businesses get our hard earned dollars. One told me, he'd rather not say, to wit I left.

This isn't really a "thought experiment". It has already occured elsewhere and we know the results. South Korea/North Korea, East Germany/West Germany, Taiwan/China, East Berlin/West Berlin. Who had to build walls to keep their people in? Who has to control the information given to their people? But, who ultimately wins? Freedom wins. North Korea can't last much longer, and China is more capitalist that we are. It's just too bad that we will endure 50 years of misery before the "Obama Phone People" and the Honey BooBoos learn their lessons.

The heck with dividing the country down the middle. Just look at the Election Night map. The country is already divided. The Stalinists get California, Oregon and BillGatesonia (a/k/a Washington State) Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New England, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland , D.C. and Fairfax County, Va. We get the rest. Those registered "D" get to move to their New USSR. Conservatives finding themselves in "Blue" territory will also move. Then build a Berlin Wall in reverse so the Lefties can't get into our part and corrupt it. They'll be welcome to visit with visas, but there'll be no amnesty if they overstay their welcome.

I'm ready for divorce proceedings. We should take the Western half. (can't do Northern/Southern because the Mississippi would be an open sewer by the time it reached the Mason Dixon line.) It's the least developed and we like to build.

They can have the Hamptons, Martha's Vinyard, Miami, Detroit, Cincinatti, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Long Island. (which will all be in the same condition shortly)

I like Rush's idea of a gun-bristling Berlin Wall to keep the parasites, thugs, pornographers, news anchors, and College Professors on their own side.

If it does come to a Civil War, I think the Marxist Press should be first in the sights. They are the propaganda arm for the Marxist Democrats and influence too many people. Being rid of them we might solve over 75% of our problems in America.

Social Security stops trying

Washington Post, by Marc Fisher    Original Article

The Social Security Administration announced Monday that it will immediately cease efforts to collect on taxpayers’ debts to the government that are more than 10 years old. The action comes after The Washington Post reported that the government was seizing state and federal tax refunds that were on their way to about 400,000 Americans who had relatives who owed money to Social Security. In many cases, the people whose refunds were intercepted had never heard of any debt, and the debts dated as far back as the middle of the past century. “I have directed an immediate halt to further

Despite promises to the contrary, it appears that State Senator Wendy Davis (D-Fort Worth) voted on bills that affect her clients and favorably impact the bottom line of her law firm. “I have never done anything in a way that represents a conflict in my voting and something that would benefit me personally,” she said in an interview, but state records seem to tell a different story. The Dallas Morning News´ Senior Political Writer Wayne Slater (DMN) reported that Davis supported legislation governing a toll road project. That would be all well and good except for the fact that the

Democrats Lose Two More Special

Democrats have had a recurring problem in special elections this year: Their voters aren’t turning out. If a weak economy and continued Obamacare problems persist, the November elections could be a disaster for Democrats. Last week, Democrats lost two special elections they weren’t planning to. Arlington, Va., is a classic wealthy ObamaTown, filled with government workers and limousine liberals. Mitt Romney won only 29 percent of the vote in 2012. But last Tuesday, Democrats lost their first election for the five-member Arlington County Board in 15 years when John Vihstadt, a Republican running as an independent, won a vacancy on

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said little as federal agents seized and then released cattle last week from the Bundy ranch, but there is little doubt that the highly charged episode was threatening to become a political headache for the Nevada Democrat. The Bureau of Land Management is headed by former longtime Reid aide Neil Kornze, who was confirmed by the Senate as BLM director on Tuesday, just as federal authorities descended on the cattle ranch outside Mesquite, Nev. Mr. Kornze issued a statement Saturday saying that the bureau would return the cattle and withdraw its agents from the ranch

On the defensive about their prospects in the midterm elections this fall, congressional Democrats have spent all of April savaging the Republican budget proposal, decrying the Koch brothers and championing a series of bills meant to ingratiate themselves to struggling middle-class voters. In promoting legislation that would extend unemployment benefits, increase the minimum wage and promote equal pay for women, the Democrats have declared themselves the party that will ensure a “fair shot” for all. Republicans, they insist, are the party of special interests. It has been a classic Washington messaging campaign for these partisan

On a trip to Moscow early in her tenure as secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton played the role of international saleswoman, pressing Russian government officials to sign a multibillion-dollar deal to buy dozens of aircraft from Boeing. A month later, Clinton was in China, where she jubilantly announced that the aerospace giant would be writing a generous check to help resuscitate floundering U.S. efforts to host a pavilion at the upcoming World’s Fair. Boeing, she said, “has just agreed to double its contribution to $2 million.” Clinton did not point out that, to secure the donation, the State Department

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No
