| BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Here's the Art Laffer sound bite. Cookie found this. I tell you, earlier today I'm watching Fox News and Art Laffer's on, and he says, "Oh, Martha, I've never been more optimistic in my life." And coupled with everything else, I was reduced to almost uncontrollable giddy laughter. LAFFER: I'm very, very hopeful about what's gonna happen, Martha. I think this was the election not to win. We have the 2013 Taxmageddon that I think is gonna lead to a very sharp drop in economic activity and, you know, looking at 2014 I'm very excited about how the elections

Love Art Laffer and his curve. And I'm trying to be optimistic. I am just so bummed out. I feel like I have been hit by a Mack truck. I really feel bad for Romney. He did a great job and it really looked like we were going to do it. I'm so afraid for my country, and I admit it, for myself. I'm scared sh**less.

I truly believe that we would have won the election but for Sandy.. the polls moved just enough for Obama to win.
I am convinced this was not accident, or misfortune. It was an act of God.

The problem is that while politically Obama's continued failure may eventually help the country (I'm not sure how), there are real people with families who are going to suffer immeasurably. Many already have for the past 4 years. Now we're going to drag it on for another 4 years.
Sorry Mr. Laffer. There is nothing funny here. Nothing at all.

Laffer is spot on. The only way to deal with the second Dear Leader's second regime is to laugh at it. As an aside, laughing at liberals makes them absolutely apoplectic. Laughter is the only sober response to absurdity.

Obama is the dog that chased and finally caught the car, now the shatstorm that follows will belong to him and the despicable democrat party.
The GOP should not give a inch, let them own what happens next, lock, stock and barrel.

While Laffer may be right, I concur with #s 1 & 3. I, along with many others, have been on the wrong end of this, much to our detriment and our families futures. I don't need another 4 years of steep economic decline. This election should have been like 1980. I shouldn't have to wait until 2016 and hope for, what?
What are we supposed to do; be like the Russians and stay drunk on cheap vodka and lower our life expectancy to 60 or less just so we can "ease the pain"?
Maybe Limbaugh and Laffer can laugh. I can't.

I do agree with Laffer .... Team 44, the NYTimes, WPost, B'berg, NBC, etc. are the ones facing the steep slope with the obviously wrong plan & delusional hero worship agitprop news coverage.
Maybe Team 44 can recruit New Jersey Governor Christie to head FEMA

As your parents probably told you, you made your bed, now lie in it. Obama was re-elected, and the whole Country will suffer, and many of them will be those who voted for him. They will rue the day because they stand to lose jobs, incur a depression and/or inflation, definitely incur far high health insurance premiums, and on and on. I fully expand whole companies to move production out of the USA, if they don't move out entirely. Its already begun as businesses are learning exactly what is in the Obamacare law and they cannot live with it.

I hope the people who voted for Obama and his policies really do put it together when the real suffering begins. I hope they are smart enough! Based on what we have seen so far, they may just look for someone else to blame. These people are just not very bright.

So...#2 "GOD" is a democrat after all? I didn't realize "GOD" was registered to vote. Why would god act on obama's behalf when all he had to do would be to will it.

We take it like the founders: with our life and fortunes, for the future of our beloved country.
Face it, Romney would have just been a slower boil of the frog. If we have to have this happen--and with half the country thinking 0bama's the guy, we do--then let's get it over with. Let's turn up the flame until the frog jumps out of the pot. Anything else is just a slow march to the inevitable. I'd rather fight myself, now, than leave it to my kids or my grandkids to do.
Let's roll!

So now we filled the arsonist's gas can. Great, they will get everything they want and that will show parasites and dreamers how wrong they were. Nifty unless the country goes into a super depression, because we ARE at Great Depression levels in many areas right now. Then there is the matter of a ACLU, Marxist, Supreme Court. All they will do is tear up the constitution and reinterpret laws and amendments into ways even the most paranoid Alex Jones fan can't imagine. Yeah, we sure lucked out.

I do have an evil thought that those who voted for him should get what they asked for.... but I also realize that Obama gives waivers to his pals.
Financially, we will be in horrid shape the next 4 years. My real concern is we will lose all freedoms to UN control of our lives. If the house can stop it... we'll see.

I think some folks have forgotten who initiates Laws in this Country. According to the Constitution the House does. Then it goes to the Senate then to the President for signature.
I laughed hysterically when Harry Reid claimed that the Republicans were blocking progress. Doesn't he have an IQ high enough to look in a mirror? The Senate has blocked every move made by the Republican House.
The Democrats have not come up with a budget for over 3 years, yet they have blocked every budget that the Republicans came up with. So I defy Hypocrite Reid to state who the blocker is here.
The Senate Democrats should be ashamed of themselves and fire Harry from his position. But since Democrats have no clue what Shame is they won't. I think they are in Ted Kennedy's car.

Hit the button too quick. I meant to add, at the bottom of Limbaugh's article are two stories. One business man fired 22 employees on Wednesday morning, and Boeing is now going to lay of 30% of its employees.

Here's the question......Will PURIST republicans cost us the elections in 2014 and 2016 like they did in 2012? WIll we even HAVE elections in 2016 after the PURISTS sold out the country waiting for their perfect non-existent candidate?

The commander in chief of the American armed forces today forced a violation of Marine Corps regulations, so he wouldn’t get wet. According to Marine Corps regulation MCO P1020.34F of the Marine Corps Uniform Regulations chapter 3, a male Marine is not allowed to carry an umbrella while in uniform. There is no provision in the Marine Corps uniform regulation guidelines that allows a male Marine to carrying an umbrella. Nevertheless, during a press conference under a light drizzle with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan this morning, President Obama allowed the First Head to be

The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee said Sunday he believes “more whistleblowers” will come forward with information on the deadly attack last year on diplomatic outpost in Benghazi, Libya. “I do think we are going to see more whistleblowers. I know certainly my committee has been contacted, I think others committees [have been contacted] as well,” Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) said on “Fox News Sunday.”Rogers’s comments came days after a trio of State Department officials criticized the Obama administration’s actions regarding the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks at a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing.

Victoria Toensing, attorney for Benghazi whistleblower Gregory Hicks, says Hicks is a Democrat who voted for Hillary Clinton during the 2008 primaries, and President Obama twice for President. Toensing also said that NBC News "spiked" the story this week, prior to Hicks´ dramatic testimony before Congress. Toensing appeared on WMAL-FM in Washington DC Saturday with host Steve Malzberg. "He voted for Hillary in the primary and Obama twice. NBC spiked the story where I told it before the hearings... ...It’s just amazing what the press is still trying to do to cover this up.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) released a report documenting attempted abuses of federal power by the Obama administration on Tuesday, saying the administration “knows virtually no bounds.” Cruz points to Obama’s own Supreme Court appointees, Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor, to make his case: "When President Obama’s own Supreme Court nominees join their colleagues in unanimously rejecting the Administration’s call for broader federal power six times in just over one year, the inescapable conclusion is that the Obama Administration’s view of federal power knows virtually no bounds,” the senator’s report said.

Ninety-percent of our guns are not owned by African-Americans, hispanics, minority groups, they´re owned by white people. Now are these white people so afraid of out in the suburbs? Are they thinking little red head, freckle-faced Jimmy down the street is going to, you know, kill them? Mug them? I don´t think so. Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. And Sarah blasted him on Twitter as a bully. Is that, is it, is he a bully? Is he a bad, what is he?

Five months into his second term, allies and enemies are as confounded as ever about who President Obama really is. Is he the dyed-in-the-wool liberal that his biggest supporters and critics suggest? Or is he a pragmatic, even cynical, politician who cares more for his popularity than taking risks for his ideological goals or living up to his rhetoric? Even in the short period since his reelection, Obama has provided evidence to support conflicting interpretations. His efforts to pass immigration reform, the unsuccessful push for stricter gun controls and tax hikes on high earners buttress the case for Obama-as-ideologue.

Jeb Bush says he’s not worried that his work toward comprehensive immigration reform and his ties to the GOP establishment will alienate conservatives and negatively impact a potential 2016 presidential campaign, referring to critics as “the chirpers.” “If I decide to run for office again, it will be based on what I believe, and it will be based on my record,” the former Florida governor said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody. “And that record was one of solving problems completely from a conservative prospective.” Bush (R) pointed to his conservative

During his interview with ABC’s Jonathan Karl this morning, Rubio didn’t even seem to understand what that meant. “Are you being played by the Democrats?” asked Karl. “Is Chuck Schumer playing you?” “I don’t — I quite frankly, I don’t even know what that means,” Rubio replied. “Is he using you?” Karl continued. “Is he using you to try to accomplish something that the Democrats want and is not — not a conservative bill?” Rubio responded that immigration reform was a bi-partisan issue that “all Americans

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
