Priceline.com is snapping up Kayak Software, an online travel research site based in Concord, for $1.8 billion. “We’re excited to join the world’s premier online travel company. The Priceline Group’s global reach and expertise will accelerate our growth and help us further develop as a company,” said Kayak CEO Steve Hafner, who founded the company eight years ago with Paul English. Kayak allows users to compare hundreds of travel sites when looking for flights, hotels and rental cars. The deal is expected to expand Priceline’s travel business and build Kayak’s brand. Comments: $1.8 Billion, not bad but he didn't build it per obama and he will find a way to steal the gain.

Unless I can use a star trek transporter to get to a state that voted solid red, I will stay home. Spend no money on travel. Let Vegas die. Spend no money on frivolity. I told my daughter that this year, Santa is being taxed and regulated and that it will be a very very small celebration. Fight with all we have left to us. Let 'them' suffer the consequences of their vote. I am a Giants football fan. Victor Cruz's endorsement of Obama, and his responses afterwards("I was very excited, it's big for minorites, it's big for latin culture, the latin community, it's big for all of us."-not a WORD about it being good for America) have resulted in my hope that he trips outside of the stadium property and shatters his knees, dying in poverty in the gutter. I'd trade EVERY future win for the Jints to save AMERICA.

President Obama is facing a perfect storm of scandals, cover-ups and criminality that threatens to sweep him from power. This week marks the 40th anniversary of the first Watergate hearings. They eventually brought down President Nixon, forcing him to resign. Mr. Obama is the liberal Nixon — a corrupt chief executive, who is presiding over a lawless administration. Like Tricky Dick, the Obama administration has an “enemies list.” The Internal Revenue Service has admitted that its agents deliberately targeted conservative, Tea Party, evangelical and pro-Israel Jewish groups, denying or blocking their requests for tax-exempt status.

Measuring the ratio of someone´s waist to their height is a better way of predicting their life expectancy than body mass index (BMI), the method widely used by doctors when judging overall health and risk of disease, researchers said. (SNIP) People with the highest waist-to-height ratio, whose waistlines measured 80 per cent of their height, lived 17 years fewer than average.

WASHINGTON — In one way, President Obama’s young age is a liability: He’ll likely live long enough to see how poorly history judges his presidency. It’s legacy-building time at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, and things aren’t looking good for 44. Though folks in the White House are quick to blame Republicans for ensuring that Obama’s place in future presidential rankings falls somewhere near Jimmy Carter’s, other people — including some Democrats in Washington — say the fault lies in large part with the president himself.

The father woke first, ears ringing. The last thing Donald Evans remembered was shouting to the pilot seated beside him -- "Pull up!" -- before the single-engine plane slammed into a low mountain 37 miles west of McGrath. One look told him that man was now dead. So was the woman sitting behind Evans, an admired school teacher named Julia Walker who lived in Anvik, the Yukon River village that Evans and his wife, both 32, had been flying to as they began their first year teaching in rural Alaska.

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

WASHINGTON —In a dramatic departure from existing White House procedures, President Obama requested today that his staff start cc’ing him on stuff. “Look, I know a lot of you think I’m really busy and you don’t want to bother me,” the President reportedly told his staff in an Oval Office meeting. “But cc me anyway. It’s good for me to keep up on what’s going on around here.” “It’s not good when I turn on the news and they’re talking about something at the White House and I’m like, whoa, when did that happen?”

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) have reversed their longstanding membership guidelines to allow homosexuals to join the organization. In an email to CNSNews.com, the BSA public affairs office said the vote on the resolution to “remove the restriction denying membership to youth on the basis of sexual orientation alone” was passed with 61.44 percent in favor and 38.56 percent opposed. “For 103 years, the Boy Scouts of America has been a part of the fabric of this nation, with a focus on working together to deliver the nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training,”

Abuse Of Power: Any scandal investigation that expects a "Eureka!" moment, a White House e-mail, or Oval Office smoking gun will be misguided. In fact, the dots are already connected directly to the president. Barack Obama is not foolish enough to have a tape recording system hidden in his desk. And his administration staff are not careless enough to send one another incriminating e-mails. If the president was behind the IRS unlawfully harassing conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, we can be sure the communications were all sotto voce and in persona, like any good Chicago political operator.

A Washington state Democrat is accusing Republicans of “throwing American infrastructure … under the bus” after a bridge collapse there this week. The portion of Interstate 5 in Washington that runs over the Skagit River collapsed on Thursday after a truck hit an overhead support structure, but Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) cited the incident in an interview as proof Republicans were blocking infrastructure investment to hurt President Obama politically. “Well, they have clearly spent the whole last five years trying to tear the president down, but they have done it by throwing the American infrastructure and
