| State Rep. Derrick Smith defended his re-election to the 10th District at a news conference this morning, chiding those who say he only received the votes because he’s a Democrat. He said that point of view is “misinformed and insulting to the people of the district that voted for me.” (Snip) In August, Smith became the first lawmaker tossed out of the Illinois House in more than 100 years, before he was re-elected on Tuesday in his West Side district. Just think of it as a form of reparations, sort of a pigford III.
Black voters had to fight to earn the right to vote, and now they waste it on scoundrels. shame on them. They are worse than this criminal they elected...

The American electorate seem to prefer criminals and dead politicians over decent law abiding office holders. Actually, electing dead politican`s would be better for us as they wouldn`t pass so many tax increases....

We see this over and over. It's just black people's way of "stickin' it to the man!" And who can really blame them. Have we seen any indictments from the wall street fiasco of four years ago? Is Sandy Berger still running around with documents in his pants? What about those nuns from 12 years ago who gave to Gore's campaign, in spite of their vows of poverty? And worst but not least, Corzine is still living high, fast and furious is just an assortment of dead bodies to Washington and Benghazi is...what? Just a nothingburger really.
I could go on and on. No wonder people treat their elected representatives like a joke.

And NOT ONE designation as to what party this alleged "lawmaker" is in. Yes, this says that the Democrats supported his opponent, but did not, for some "unknown reason" say exactly what Smith is.
Amazing for a Chicago paper.

The Homeland Security Department has granted legal status to 99.2 percent of all illegal immigrants who have applied under President Obama’s new non-deportation policy for young adults, according to the latest numbers released Friday. That’s a slight drop from the 99.5 percent approval rate reported last month. WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.
