| Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., who cut the necessary deals to pass Obamacare and made himself a political attack dog this cycle, wants to keep his job for the next decade. “I have this one and one more Congress before I have to run for reelection,” Reid told Politico. “I’m planning on running for reelection.” Reid’s next campaign comes in 2016. If he won, that term would not end until 2022. Does Reid want to be Senate Majority Leader that whole time? “Oh sure,” he said. Reid as run the Senate since 2006.
|
Comments: Talk about a national nightmare. The Democrats have a big bench of appalling jerks, Reid ranks right up there at the top.

Saw him on TV this morning. Said he would work across the aisle "but don't push me, cause I won't budge". Doesn't sound any different than the past 4 years between him and Pelosi.

And will he continue during this entire period to not submit a budget as required by law of the Senate? Why is there no punishment for the Senate not doing what it is required by law to do? Answer anyone?

Just think how much better off American Society would be this afternoon if Little Dingy Harry Reid was not walking the Halls of Congress, but instead was where he ought to be right now.......confined to his unheated 80-square-foot cell, next to O.J. Simpson's, at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Pershing County, Nevada!

I'm still in such a miserable mood to even post or think about Reid or what BHO will do to our country. Is anyone checking the voter fraud? Is anyone still checking out Fast & Furious or Bengazi? Is anybody checking out the UN Treaties? Is anybody doing anything to start impeachment? Is anybody asking pastors to teach the "truth"? We may see it get a lot worse!!

The fact that the Senate continues to support Reid as leader shows the unconscionable irresponsibility of your elected officials! We have to get it through our heads that the ills and woes of this country can be laid at the feet of 545 men and women utterly corrupt by the election cycles!

#8, no, no, no and no. And it never will. I frankly do care anymore. I will spend my days getting as prepared as possible for what is coming. And it's me and mine, everyone else is on their own. I went through sad, now I'm mad. And politicians, both sides, can do whatever they want, I'm done.

The 2012 Senate race was a disaster and I am not limiting myself to IN and MO. ND and MT? This was inexcusable. However the class of 2008 comes up in 2 years (campaigning starts yesterday) and they are 20 Dems and 13 GOP. You never know - two more years of the bungler-in-chief and folks may catch a clue.

Harry Reid fits right in with the corrupt administration and its leader. He's arrogant, obnoxious and a know-it-all. What a despicable character and certainly shows no resemblance to a Mormon and their value on character and morals. Why don't they throw him out?

The Department of Justice released a statement moments ago amid reports of the department obtaining a subpoena in order to access Fox News reporter James Rosen´s personal emails. "Leaks of classified information to the press can pose a serious risk of harm to our national security and it is important that we pursue these matters using appropriate law enforcement tools. Such investigations and prosecutions, including this particular case, follow all applicable laws, regulations, and longstanding Department of Justice policies intended to safeguard the First Amendment interests of the press in reporting the news and the public in receiving it."

Michelle Malkin joined Megyn Kelly on Fox News Monday afternoon to discuss the latest developments in the investigation into the IRS targeting conservatives for audits. Malkin insisted it was not merely her “ideology” that has led to critique the Obama administration on their handling of the IRS issue and others, but rather the evidence she’s seen of their “bully brigade tactics” to “intimidate and criminalize their political opponents.” Malkin began by going after White House Press Secretary Jay Carney for his handling of the various Obama “scandals,” saying the “clown Carney press briefings have turned in

The Justice Department, already under fire for seizing AP phone records, also viewed e-mails of Fox News chief Washington correspondent James Rosen, calling him a criminal ´co-conspirator´ for his reporting. Fox News´ executive vice president of news, Michael Clemente, released a statement defending Rosen. The statement issued Monday afternoon is below: "We are outraged to learn today that James Rosen was named a criminal co-conspirator for simply doing his job as a reporter," Clemente said. Michael Steinbach, former head of the FBI’s counterterrorism division and now special agent in charge of Miami, told over 30 congressional staffers in March of 2012 that, contrary to the White House´s classification, the bureau does not refer to the Fort Hood shooting as "workplace violence." As head of the FBI counterterrorism division, Steinbach oversaw the investigation into the mass murder at Texas Army base. Steinbach made this claim during an unclassified counterterrorism briefing on Capitol Hill. “Do you guys teach your agents that Fort Hood was workplace violence?” one staffer asked.

As a result of Fox News Channel’s State Department reporter James Rosen’s 2009 investigation into the government’s response to North Korea’s repeated provocations, it was reported on Monday that the Department of Justice tracked Rosen’s movements as well as subpoenaed telephone and email records. According to the DoJ’s subpoena, Google surrendered Rosen’s emails, who is described as “an aider and abettor and/or co-conspirator,” to the government. “Rosen was not charged with any crime, but it is unprecedented for the government, in an official court document, to accuse a reporter of breaking the law for conducting the

The House has already begun its investigation of the IRS scandal, with Friday’s hearing in the House Ways and Means Committee. The Senate Finance Committee will follow in short order, and it has already issued a “request” for detailed information from the agency about its targeting of conservative groups over the last three years. Ironically, it looks a lot like the kind of request that the agency sent out to those groups, with 41 demands and just 11 days to respond. The letter, provided by a source on Capitol Hill, shows that the questioning is likely to feel a lot like an audit:

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued the following statement after a report was released claiming that the Obama Administration targeted a FOX News reporter during a leak investigation: “I am very concerned by reports the Obama Administration targeted a FOX News reporter for possible criminal prosecution for doing what appears to be normal news-gathering protected by the First Amendment. The sort of reporting by James Rosen detailed in the report is the same sort of reporting that helped Mr. Rosen aggressively pursue questions about the Administration’s handling of Benghazi.

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries. And with good reason. We were misled; no, lied to.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:
