I disagree. Writer is linking all Hispanics with Mexican radicals. Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Chileans, Venezuelans immigrant and others who fled S.A. and Central American commie regimes are conservatives. Mexican illegals are being represented by La Raza and leftist militants. Republicans need to have Rubio and other elected Hispanics lead the charge to spread the truth. It can be done.

Agree #2. If they're going to slice and dice all white Americans by sex, sexual preference, age, income, etc. then it's time to fight fire with fire and start pointing out that a Cuban is not a Mexican is not a Venezuelan.

'Hispanic' is a catchall invented out of whole cloth by Richard Nixon, the gift that keeps on giving.

If I were a Cuban or an Argentinian I would make sure I stood apart from Mexicans who simply want the goodies.

I disagree with the comment that immigrants come here to work hard; I worked in a dental office for thirty years. And for these 30 years I watched hundreds of Mexican families come to the US; first thing they did was get on welfare, have a baby, get food stamps, come to the dentist for free with their Medicaid benefits. Juan worked hard as a gardener, and Maria worked hard as a house cleaner, and they were paid cash; no taxes were paid. They kept their cash, they brought more relatives, they kept their welfare and Medicaid, and they had a baby every year. What a great life. I am sick of it.

I don't think that Mr. McCarthy has lived with these people. I have. They are good people. They make fine citizens - those that choose to obey the law. They are friendly, and outgoing. They do work hard and let's face it, if public welfare is available, why not take advantage of it! I would too, especially if I had no where else to turn.

But there is a liberal Hispanic media and public education system that is teaching them the importance of the culture of dependency. More importantly it is teaching this to their children. These kids grow up not knowing about the strength of the U.S. culture or the strength of their own cultures.

Conservatives can change this, without changing what we believe or how we approach immigration.

Oh, and don't compare Hispanics to Islam.

One thing is for sure, if the Republicans cave and allow the liberal Democrats to pass an amnesty for the 20 million or so illegal aliens here now that after passing them through a few meaningless hoops eventually gives them US voting rights, the vast majority of them being poor low wage earners with limited educations, who have large families and come from socialist oriented third world countries will eventually become liberal Democrat voters and the Republicans will have committed long-term political suicide.

Why do you think the liberal Democrats always support a permanent amnesty and "a path to citizenship" for most illegal aliens, and at the same time oppose and sabotage all effective immigration law enforcement measures, it certainly is not because they think that once able, such a massive legalized alien population would have an epiphany and vote for conservative Republicans!

People who came here illegally should never be granted citizenship unless they leave and come back legally, even if amnesty legislation allows them to stay.
