But a peek further down the page, and often down the ballot, reveals an election night that delivered a wide array of meaningful changes to the body politic. Marriage is between one man and one woman--created and ratified by God.
The 'marriage' these evilmongers refer to is between men and men and women and women. And is man/child or woman/pig next?

An intriguing article. It has straightforward words for the gay candidate who won but ridicules the win of a reindeer farmer (not hip enough?). It spends a lot of time on the elevation of gay unions to the status of legal ‘marriage’ and the election results legalizing marijuana. It trumpets the elections of more women to the Senate and to other positions (Gov. Hassan) but singles out Senators-elect gay Tammy Baldwin and lying and extreme Cherokee-Princess-Spewing-CaCa Elizabeth Warren by name. All of these disparate successes (and the article describing them) at first glance appear to be reflections of the changing of the culture of this nation. But it can be argued that, while they are described as mainstream triumphs, they actually are the triumphs of culture minorities and not of the citizenry as a whole. Other than for the advancements of the serious female candidates, these election results do not elevate us and they are relevant to only a few.

NPR´s Ari Shapiro posted an interesting Tweet on May 21. He discovered that a cadre of well-known lefty columnists and journalists visited the White House together, three of whom he mentioned by name. Shapiro reported that Jonathan Capehart and Ezra Klein of the Washington Post, and Josh Marshall of the left-wing website TalkingPointsMemo.com were attending a meeting together at the White House. [Tweet] Coffee, Carney, or perhaps some "guidance"? Naturally the tongues on Twitter wagged. Instapundit wondered, for instance, if the "Journ-O-List cavalry" had been called out to solve Obama´s media problem.

The US Attorney for the District of Columbia, Ronald C. Machen - the man responsible for the aggressive surveillance and phone record scrutiny at Fox News - is also a big donor to the Obama Campaigns. At the time of his appointment, the Washington Post wrote a profile on Machen including this tidbit: Over the years, he has donated $4,350 to Obama´s campaigns. He gave $250 to Obama´s U.S. Senate campaign in 2003, a year before Obama, then an Illinois state senator, emerged on the nation´s political radar, according to campaign finance records.

On May 14, the House Ways and Means Committee demanded the IRS turn over documents and answer questions related to the targeting of conservative groups. The letter was signed by the Chairman David Camp and ranking member Sander Levin of the Committee. The deadline for compliance was May 21. According to House Ways and Means Spokeswoman Sarah Swinehart, "The Committee has not received a response to the Camp-Levin letter." WASHINGTON — The Army announced Tuesday that it has suspended the top general at Fort Jackson in South Carolina over allegations of assault and adultery, the latest in a string of sex scandals to rock the military. It was not clear whom Brig. Gen. Bryan Roberts struck or with whom he was involved. Fort Jackson conducts basic training for 60% of the Army´s incoming women recruits. (Snip) According to his Army biography, Roberts is a 29-year veteran. Before assuming command in April 2012, he served in Iraq as head of a unit training Iraqi soldiers.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.
