House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s Napa County house was burglarized Monday, one day before her re-election to her 13th full term in Congress. Thieves smashed the glass door to the main residence on Zinfandel Lane just outside of St. Helena, said Capt. Tracey Stuart, a spokeswoman for the Napa County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities responded to a burglary alarm at the home around 3 p.m. and found that smashed door as well as a broken glass door to the pool house, Stuart said. No one was home at the time, and police have no suspects.

No doubt she won't want to press charges against the culprits, because they're disadvantaged members of the 99%, or 47% or what have you. Besides, they very likely had bad childhoods.

Right, Nance?

Actually this might become quite common for the elisists in government and media. Probably should armor up their limos as well. The elistist will be thinning out the ranks of the successful as they harvest their "far shares"; they will become moving targets for the little people. Better move into gated communities, and man the barricades, it you can find anybody who wants to work.

Does anyone remember tiny news blurbs of Kerry's brother[?] experiencing a post election break-in involving theft of boxes of documents from his home office , iirc?

Then there was the mystery death of DiFi's accountant or fundraiser which involved the theft of bundles of $$ during an election.
Never heard anything else.

On Tuesday morning, a plane owned in trust by the Bank of Utah showed up in a very visible area of the Mehrabad Airport in Tehran, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran. What was it doing there exactly? Nobody knows, reports The New York Times. Under President Barack Obama, the United States has eased some of the long-standing punitive economic sanctions against Iran. Still, very little American — or European — economic activity is allowed inside the religious theocracy. The Bank of Utah is certainly no Wells Fargo. The Ogden-based community bank has all of 13 branches including

MOKPO/JINDO, South Korea — Divers searching for survivors of a capsized South Korean ferry saw three bodies floating through a window of a passenger cabin on Saturday but were unable to retrieve them, the coastguard said, hours after the ship´s captain was arrested. The ferry, carrying 476 passengers, many of them schoolchildren, and crew, capsized on Wednesday on a journey from the port of Incheon to the southern holiday island of Jeju. Some 174 people have been rescued and hopes were fading for those still missing. The divers saw the bodies in a submerged cabin where many of the children

With the Chicago weather finally getting a little nicer, Chris Anderssen wanted to grill some burgers outside for a group of family and friends. When she got to the meat aisle at her local Jewel-Osco supermarket, a case of sticker shock made her change the menu: extra lean ground beef was $4.99 a pound. "Five adults, four teenagers, that´s a lot of hamburger to buy," said Anderssen, a 42-year-old mother of two who works as an office manager. She bought chicken instead for $2.99 a pound. Retail beef and pork prices reached all-time highs last month, according to Bill Hahn, agricultural

TOPEKA, Kan. — If expanding the guest list to include Michelle Obama at graduation for high school students in the Kansas capital city means fewer seats for friends and family, some students and their parents would prefer the first lady not attend. Some advice for Democratic candidates from consultants: Don´t use the word "recovery" in your speeches. Associated Press: Election-year memo to Democratic candidates: Don´t talk about the economic recovery. It´s a political loser. So say Democratic strategists in a blunt declaration that such talk skips over "how much trouble people are in, and doesn´t convince them that policymakers really understand or are even focusing on the problems they continue to face." In addition, Stan Greenberg, James Carville and others wrote that in head-to-head polling tests the mere mention of the word "recovery" is trumped by a Republican assertion

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?
