Arkansas Republicans on Tuesday night took control of at least one chamber of the state legislature and captured all of the state's congressional seats for the first time since Reconstruction. Republicans took the majority in the state Senate and will either have a one seat majority or be tied with Democrats in the state House of Representatives, according to election returns. For decades, Arkansas has been a rare dot of Democratic blue amid Republican red across the legislatures of the South. Until Tuesday's elections, it was the only state in the South where both chambers of the legislature were controlled by Democrats.

Obvious. There is no get out the vote opeartion in black neighborhoods in Arkansas because the Republicans have a lock on the electoral vote.

Little by little the Democrats are being evicted from the south. This will have long term consequences for the Dems that they will ignore while they celebrate Obama's narrow re-election victory.

This is huge. Only 8 years ago the Dems completely dominated (essentially a one party state) all branches of the state goobernment. Just two years ago we only had one Rebublican representing the state in Congress (House rep). Now, in two years we will have a chance to eliminate the goobernor (only statewide state office held by a socialist) and the only remaining Socialist senator (idiot Pryor). And our goobernor desperately wants to implement all killer state provisions of Obambicare. With Rebublicans controlling the State senate, that isn’t going to happen. And most of the Rebublicans elected are Tea Parties’ members.

The Tea Party is alive and well in Arkansas. In two years, Mr. Pryor will be "blanched" from the Senate and the new governor will be red. Razorback red.

I am proud of my state, they are getting the picture. Our county also went Republican in many county offices. Never thought I would ever see it but it happened. As I am happy for my state, I am very depressed for the country. We as a nation cannot survive with the entitlement mentality that is now infecting this nation.

It doesn't matter how many states we win.
In a post US Civil War American it is impossible for states to succeed from the US.
There is NO refuge left for us here.
Great Leader will control the Supreme Court [even without the additional 3 justices he will appoint.

FORT PIERCE -— A county canvassing board on Friday ordered a recount of early-voting ballots in the race between U.S. Rep. Allen West and Democrat Patrick Murphy, hours after a judge declined to do the same. The St. Lucie County Canvassing Board voted 2-to-1 late Friday in favor of the move in the 18th Congressional District contest, in which Murphy is the unofficial victor. Michigan voters pulled the plug on a proposed constitutional amendment that would have required Michigan's utilities to provide 25 percent of their electricity from renewable sources by 2025. With most precincts reporting, 63 percent of voters opposed the measure.(snip)Proposal 3 represented a doubling-down on renewable energy after state legislators voted in 2008 to reach a 15 percent standard by 2015. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. A healthcare provider has sued the Internal Revenue Service and 15 of its agents, charging they wrongfully seized 60 million medical records from 10 million Americans. The name of the provider is not yet known, United Press International said. But Courthouse News Service said the suit claims the agency violated the Fourth Amendment in 2011, when agents executed a search warrant for financial data on one employee – and that led to the seizure of information on 10 million, including state judges. The search warrant did not specify that the IRS could take medical information, UPI said.
