If the economy doesn't improve in the next two years you could see a repeat of 2010, but this time GOP taking the Senate. We need better party leadership. More discipline. Better candidates (sorry Akin and Murdock). It was always a long shot to beat the First Black President and his media. The conservative movement has some growing up to do.

The demographics of the country have turned against the Republican Party as it is now constituted, and they are not going to win national elections in the future.

Obama will now call for what amounts to amnesty for up to 20 million illegal aliens, and to put them on a path to citizenship that is liberal Democrat code for eventually granting them US voting rights. Since the vast majority of the legalized aliens will be poor low wage earners with limited educations, most of them who register to vote will be liberal Democrat voters. If only half of the legalized aliens ever vote they would amount to 10 million or so new liberal Democrat voters. Can you explain how the Republicans will then be able to undo such a huge number of new liberal Democrat voters to be able to win future national elections, there is no way.

Tonight you saw the majority of USA voters essentially cross the Rubicon and there is no coming back.

Bengazi, high gas prices, high unemployment. millions on food stamps, socialized medicine. All embraced by the electorate? America was shown the way out of it and they said no.

Romney was gracious and classy in the speech we didn't want to see him give. It's what's expected and he did it well, though you could see the pain out there for sure. The end of partisan bickering? Hardly.

#19 and several others have posted about demographics - the USA is changing fast and we cannot win national election with only the white vote. Demographics as-is are hurting us. Consider: in 2008 Ohio's vote was 83% white. Tonight it was 79%. In 2016 it will probably be only 75-76%. And so on. Tonight is too soon to have a frank discussion on this subject but we do need to dig into it in the months to come. We need to promote conservative values to a wider group of America, we need a bigger tent, Obama and the Dems have scooped up every group that they can. And they don't intend to give an inch of their base back. We need to work hard for this. Our GOP convention audience in Tampa, did anyone else notice it was almost 100% white people. Our rallies for Romney, were almost 100% white people. That is what has to change or else we are destined to become an opposition party only.

We should concede our failures and move on. The Tea Party proved it can move mountains. Now it needs to decide it's next move. We need to have an organized John Galt movement. If the majority of this country is controlling things then let them start producing. See what happens to this country when food stores start to run low on items.

I was proud to stand with Mitt Romney and I know his heart breaks for this great country. He and his family don't have to worry about their future when it comes to everyday living but ours have to.

The numbers are very confusing. Supposedly, the Independents were breaking 59% for Romney. Huh? We were told that was the deal breaker. We were told Republicans would cast more votes than Democrats this year. Remember 2010? Well, if so, the numbers just don't add up. IMO, the bottom line is ballot boxes were stuffed in Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, PA, VA and FL and probably more states. Email voting in NY & NJ?
