NEW YORK — News of President Obama's re-election sent U.S. stock futures lower and weighed on foreign markets, as investors looked past the voting and began to worry about serious financial issues facing the U.S. Congress and countries across the globe. About 11:30 p.m. ET Tuesday, Dow Jones industrial futures were down 51 points, according to Bloomberg; S&P 500 stock index futures were down 7 points and Nasdaq futures were off 8 points. They had been down further earlier in the evening as Obama's re-election looked likely.

Let's see...

No budget in 3 years.
Zero fiscal restraint.
Credit downgrades.

I was gonna buy a new car.
I was gonna buy a new house.
I was gonna start taking many risks with my investments.

None of that is going to happen.

I don't know what I am going to do, but I am expecting the worst becuase that is what is headed our way.

Sorry, I posted this on another article, but should we cash out our retirement funds and "hide' the money? Pay taxes this year figuring confiscatory taxation to steal the wealth of the producers is coming.

And Zippy and the rest of the Marxists KNOW that people like me (us) didn't work hard and sacrificed our whole adult life, we were just lucky or stole it from others.

If I didn't have my faith, I would be very close to despair. I work very hard for a privately owned company, and I have managed to get a little ahead. However, being in the service industry, many of our deals currently in the hopper will go south as businesses shrink and the economy grows even worse.

I am one who always looks for the silver lining, but I cannot see one in this situation.

How much deeper in debt will Obama drag down the U.S. economy with, by the end of his 2nd term? It will be at a higher rate than a mere $2 trillion per year deficit that he averaged in his first term. You have to remember that the Democrats stay in office by paying benefits to their constituents. That's how they stay in office. They aren't about to lower spending. If you talk to any Democrat, they'll say with a straight face that Govt. should spend 50% of the GDP, or more. So, spending will rise. But you also have to factor in the response to the recession next year. The Democrats will tout increased spending for hiring more bureaucrats on the state and local levels, funded by the fed...and call that job creation. So, we're doomed for yearly deficits on average of between 2 and 3 Trillion USD per year, which will put the U.S. in debt to the tune of $25 trillion by 2016.

Unbelievable. I look at these fools boogying as they wait for Obama's speech and I'm incredulous that they have no idea what they have wrought on this country, and soon on themselves.

I see massive business failures. I see unemployment skyrocketing. I see bank failures. I see breadlines. I see riots. And eventually, I see bloodshed.

All of this celebration is an idiots' ball prior to the apocalypse.

I wished four years away for this election, and I don't believe I can survive the next four years of this. There is no silver lining or ray of hope here; we and our children and grandchildren are screwed, and this nation will be destroyed.

all bets are off now, and frankly, obama is the symptom. the suffering has to be far more widespread, as it was in the soviet union, before they realize how much their decisions are causing their own harm. things will have to get worse, and with this election, it is guaranteed, unless congress does everything legally possible to stop him.

The Dems will raise taxes, but big businesses will go overseas, and small business will transition their employees from full time to part timers, to avoid the Obama care penalty. The Dems can raise the taxes as much as they want to, they won't increase revenues with American workers earning less, inflation going wild, and corporations saying toodle-oo. The only bright side to this disaster is that Israel now knows it's on it's own against the Iranians, and will have to strike, soon.

What if Obama success today is part of the reason why America will have no say in the coming Armageddon? He'll have the equivalent unenviable role of today's Judas Iscariot selling Israel out. He'll not get to enjoy his 30 pieces of silver for very long.

Stocks will go up as the dollar is crushed through endless quantitative easing.

What the Obamabots do not realize is that this is effectively a tax on the poor that pays the rich.

The price of all commodities will rise. Gasoline and food all go higher. Those on fixed incomes who own property will get hit with an additional hit on taxes.

The looters are now in control, but the ones in the middle are the ones who will get the shaft.

I plan to buy as little as possible. I will only spend for necessities. I will especially avoid spending money in blue states. No trips to Fla. Gas can go up to $6 per gallon, I will be home.

I have not had cable or been to a movie in years. I do not support Hollywood at all. With prices of food and other goods increasing I may not be the only one. Will the know-it-all celebs enjoy four more Obama years.

I am scheduled to meet with my financial adviser next week. I will be asking advice as to what investments I should move everything into. You know, things like gold.

The market will not like this. All those evil 1 percenters will now be looking to move their assets to foreign accounts and other safe havens and unproductive tax shelters. Investment capital will dry up big time.

Now you know why Zippy's campaign didn't share the money with down ticket races - billions spent over the last four years to generate the fake registrations and votes - and why the polls were skewed at D+9 and D+11, when nowhere near that many of their faithful followers showed up - and why they kicked pubbie poll watchers out whenever possible - stuff the fake votes in the box and you don't need your followers to be enthusiastic or show up to vote; you vote for them.

I second that emotion, #24 (that was a great song, wasn't it?). However, we must be like those in Valley Forge who soldiered on, as hopeless as things seemed. It's for our country. It's for freedom. It's for our children and grandchildren.

We must start a new political party, free of the corruption that infects both the Democratic and Republican parties. A party the genuinely represents the working middle-class. We must build it an make it grow in an admittedly hostile environment. We must. We have no choice. We have no other purpose. We're Americans.

This morning from The Washington Post’s Kathleen Parker: "Breaking news: Conservative organizations suddenly have found common cause with one of their favorite objects of contempt — the benighted Mainstream Media ... Or as the tea party queen and former Alaska governor likes to put it, the ‘lamestream media.’ In a twist of irony, the two groups have coalesced around a common enemy: the U.S. government.” (Snip) But truth be told, there would be no Tea Party today had there not been a Sarah Palin to egg it on and advance it.

Sarah Palin said Friday that the elite media would never let a Republican president get away with what Barack Obama has done in his push for new gun laws. The former Alaska governor recalled that the national press “tore apart” George W. Bush for using “fleeting images” from Sept. 11, 2001, during his 2004 reelection campaign. At the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting, Palin slammed Obama for flying the grieving parents of the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Air Force One and then “making them backdrops” at rallies. “That same media is now the reliable poodle-skirted cheerleader

To say that Sarah Palin shook things up by taking to Twitter to express her displeasure at the nonchalant nose-rubbing going on at the White House Correspondent´s Dinner Saturday night would be an understatement. The surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings should not be treated as an enemy combatant, Senate Intelligence Committee Chair Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said Sunday morning. “I do not believe under the military commission law that he is eligible for that. It would be unconstitutional to do that,” Feinstein said on “Fox News Sunday.” Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the sole surviving suspect in last Monday’s bombings, was taken into custody Friday. Federal officials said they plan to use a public safety exception to delay reading Tsarnaev his "Miranda" rights.

Mainstream media publications immediately exploited the passing of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on Monday to again advance their political agendas by falsely smearing former Alaska Gov. and Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. In a rush to write whatever they could to tarnish both, outlets like Politico and the Washington Post resorted to "reporting" on a fictitious story and an imaginary trip that have already been debunked years ago. The Post, a publication known for its liberal agenda, immediately "re-upped" the debunked story about Thatcher having snubbed Palin when Chris Cillizza,

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
