Christie adviser denies
report about Romney invitation

CNN, by Peter Hamby

Original Article

Boston - An adviser to Chris Christie is flatly denying a report that the New Jersey governor turned down an offer from the Romney campaign to appear at a Sunday night campaign rally in Pennsylvania. Asked if the Romney campaign extended the invitation, longtime Christie confidante Bill Palatucci answered with a simple "No." The Huffington Post reported late Monday that Romney officials asked Christie to appear with the Republican presidential nominee at a large outdoor rally in the Philadelphia suburb of Morrisville, a stone's throw from the New Jersey capital of Trenton.

Comments:
No need for catfight with Christie. The Mitt people left Christie alone because he is busy with hurricane relief and they knew better than to ask, that's all. The left was trying to start something with this phony story.

I can't really forgive Christie for that shameful bout of hero worship and butt kissing. I get that he cares more about his re-election than he does his country. He is a politician. But what was the real benefit here to anyone besides Obama? Romney is not going to trot him out at any campaign event - probably ever again.

I don't know about Mitt and Ann, but Christie's off my Christmas card list. PDA is a turnoff for the rest of us.

Chris Christie no longer exists, as far as I am concerned.
His effusive praise for missie barack, who didn't do anything to speak of, for NJ, was absolutely absurd.

I have never liked Christie even before all this with Obama. Last thing this country needs, besides another 4 years of Obama, is a Tony Soprano wanna-be! I can't stand him.

One more thing lol It seems to me Christie has been behaving like a spoiled brat ever since Romney picked Ryan as VP. Yet, Christie spent most of this past year openly saying he didn't even won't to be considered. Guess the old saying is true: "be careful what you wish for..."

I respected Chris Christie and immediately discounted all the whining about him slobbering over Obama. I tried to look at it as CC acting like politicians always do in these natural disaster hug fests with each other. ALL the congratulations and "hero" talk tuned out to be way premature, however. Then I saw that CC really helped Obama with leadership creds at a time it REALLY helped him. So, now I am not so sure CC wasn 't purposely trying to help Obama. CC is so over.

Setting Christie aside for a second, the funny thing is that all the left looney sites have been denying reality today by feeding off many such false stories....

Christie might as well pull a Charlie Crist and become a democrat. If Mitt loses a close one Christie's fawning comments about Obama will be the reason Once again Christie shows terrible political judgment . And Obama really cared about NJ he would be back there tomorrow instead of shooting hoops in Chicago.
Christie is a fool.

If Mitt Romney loses the election by a very close percentage, a lot of Republicans are rightfully going to put some of the blame on Chris Christie for his over the top and precipitous glad-handing and undo praise of Barack Obama. In reality Obama did not do anything for New Jersey that the American people would expect any President to do under the circumstances, and as we are finding out the federal response to this recent hurricane was even slower then when the much bigger hurricane hit New Orleans. Clearly Christie got shook up, and by playing up to Obama did his long-term career aspirations no good, at least as long as he remains a Republican.

"The economy and the social aspects are indivisible to us," commented on Tuesday the Minister of Petroleum and Mining Rafael Ramírez. "We are moving towards the creation of a different system," he added. Regarding the government´s so-called economic offensive, Ramírez stressed their new approach will focus on "production sectors so as to produce our own supplies and food." "Our economy has been under attack, and we will not wait until next year to take action; on the contrary, we have created a new exchange system, we have opened up new ways to allow the inflow of dollars," he stressed. India´s Supreme Court has created an official third sex for its transgender eunuchs and announced they will have a quota of government jobs and college places to help them overcome discrimination. The decision was met with jubilation by transgender charities who said it was a milestone in their fight against marginalisation in Indian society. "We are elated and thankful to the court," said Kalki Subramanium, a leading transgender rights activist. "The decision has come after a century of suppression and marginalisation by the legal and social systems. "This verdict is certainly landmark and a new beginning. The biggest challenge is the social recognition.

At least 12 people are dead and more than 2,000 homes have been destroyed by a large fire that wreaked havoc over the weekend in Valparaiso, Chile. Some 10,000 people have been forced to evacuate parts of the port city. Government spokesman Álvaro Elizalde says those figures are likely to go up as the fire continues to burn. The fire has been driven by strong winds, and efforts to fight the flames also have been complicated by the area´s steep terrain and lack of essential infrastructure, as NPR´s Lourdes Garcia-Navarro reports for our Newscast unit. She adds: "This is a city built on

Amnesty: President Obama often laments "our broken immigration system" as a reason for his failure to enforce its laws. But as a wave of illegals is about to descend here, the hard fact is that it´s his own policies that broke it. The nonpartisan Inter-American Development Bank and the Migration Policy Institute both reported optimal conditions for a big wave of illegal immigration into the U.S. from Mexico and Central America soon. Based on the slowdown in China´s economy, a recovery in U.S. low-skilled jobs such as construction, and rising U.S. interest rates, it´s fair enough.

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?
