Where was the October Surprise? Almost everyone anticipated this year’s “October Surprise” — some last-minute, unexpected, shocking scandal to rock the presidential election and derail one of the candidates. But it never appeared. In an era of everything-but-the-kitchen-sink gutterball politics, this mysterious absence of any major scandal was itself noteworthy. How could nothing have happened? Sure, there was Hurricane Sandy. But that doesn’t count. Sandy was a natural disaster that dominated the headlines for a few days, but it wasn’t a scandal. And yes, there was Benghazi. But that happened in early September

The list is extensive; but none of it is a surprise to us, though the mainstream presstitutes have given him good cover on most of it this whole time.

Nobody ever said that God couldn't spring an October surprise on us.That's not to say he went a little overboard on the Sandy thing but once again Obama has been exposed as a weak leader in time of crisis.But Obama's really not that much different than Cuomo and Bloomberg. They don't have any real sensitivity towards human suffering.

Ain't it the truth! For four years I've been saying - every day - another finger in the eye. My eyes are raw and looking forward to being healed.

I may be accused of doing the happy dance after I place my vote on Tuesday and shocking all the poll workers. But I will try to contain myself. Then go to Chick Fil A for lunch.

Let’s take a step back and recognize the breadth and width of the Obama administration’s assault on the US economy. We tend to divide ourselves along economic lines, upper, middle and lower or working class. It’s clear that Barack Obama has a plan for all three levels. If you’re a top earner, in his mind you’ve “made enough money” and should pay more in taxes. That’s his plan for the wealthy: Pay more taxes. This will take some money out of investments and companies and send it to the government. Some jobs will be either lost or aborted.

One of the least remarked upon aspects of President Obama’s inaugural speech was his attempt to co-opt the Founding Fathers’ Declaration of Independence to bolster his liberal-left agenda. In college I read a novel called The Last of the Just by André Schwarz-Bart inspired by a legend/theory from the Talmud — that there are thirty-six righteous souls (the Lamed Vav) in every generation whose existence justifies “the purpose of mankind” to God. It contains a passage on the back-and-forth between labor and the Chamber that has a quote from a Rubio staffer that is going to raise eyebrows, to say the least: “There are American workers who, for lack of a better term, can’t cut it.
