| Weird Uncle Joe Biden showed up to campaign for Barack Obama in Florida today, and man, was he on top of his weird uncle game. "I'm being a good Biden today," he said. How good? Well first, it being Florida and really sunny, Uncle Joe wore his signature aviators to speak at rallies—a perfect look for a Biden-licious day. He also talked about running for office...four years from now. At an unscheduled stop in Sarasota at old-timey restaurant Station 400, Uncle Joe was feeling good, hugging "aging groupies," as Los Angeles Times' Michael A. Memoli observed.

I remember, and got, those arguments too, #3. They tried so hard to make Sarah Palin out to be a moron, and yet, even 4 years ago, Joe Biden was already a known quantity.
America should have known better that this first official decision of Barry Obama was a giant red, flashing signal that he hated us.

The piece says it will all be over soon. Why do I suspect the author is talking about the campaign, not the irresponsible risk of having installed good old Uncle Joe as the next in line to the presidency. With Joe, it's always the wacky humor angle - never the dangerous irresponsibility angle, like it would be in, say, "other" circumstances.

The deadly twister that raked through Oklahoma did an estimated $2 billion in damage, which puts it on track to be the most expensive tornado in U.S. history. That’s the preliminary damage estimate the Oklahoma Insurance Department released Wednesday, two days after a monster twister flattened the city of Moore and killed 24 people, including nine children. The figure was double an earlier estimate. Insurance Department spokeswoman Calley Herth said the monetary damage caused by Monday’s tornado could be greater than the $2 billion in damage from the 2011 tornado that struck Joplin, Mo.

The union representing U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services officials will officially oppose the proposed Senate immigration reform legislation on Monday, according to an advance statement obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. The National Citizenship and Immigration Services Council (USCIS Council) says the legislation fails to address its top concerns about the current system, including the pressure on USCIS officers to approve visa applications without thorough review and the bureaucratic barricades that prevent them from coordinating with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officials. Sources say it is highly unusual for the USCIS Council to weigh in publicly on legislation.

You know that the faltering American idol in the White House must be reeling in this scandalous spring. Longoria, 38, took home a real degree (not an honorary one) in Chicano studies from Cal State Northridge, where she physically attended classes for three years, according to TMZ. "Big day today!!! What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
